Itinéraire

Trekking au camp de base de l'Everest - 14 jours, une aventure d'une durée de deux semaines où les personnes intéressées peuvent se joindre à la marche qui vous mène juste en dessous du numéro un mondial, le Mont Everest.

Le mont Everest culmine à 8 848 m et 29 028 pieds, à la frontière du Népal et du Tibet (Chine), la face nord se trouvant au Tibet et la face sud au Népal, où la plupart des aventures et des treks sont plus populaires du côté sud du Népal.

Depuis la première conquête du Mont Everest le 29 mai 1953 par les légendaires alpinistes Tenzing et Hillary, le Mont Everest a été exposé au monde extérieur et les visiteurs ont commencé à s'y intéresser, ce qui en fait aujourd'hui l'une des destinations d'aventure les plus populaires de l'Himalaya.

La randonnée commence après un court vol panoramique jusqu'à l'aéroport de Lukla et se poursuit le long de la rivière Dudh Kosi, à travers de jolis villages sherpas, pour entrer dans le parc national de Sagarmatha, riche d'une flore et d'une faune exotiques inscrites sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'humanité.

Le voyage se poursuit à travers de belles forêts de pins et de rhododendrons pour atteindre le célèbre Namche Bazaar, un endroit idéal pour se reposer et s'acclimater avant de prendre de l'altitude.

Namche Bazaar est une grande agglomération, presque une ville, avec de nombreux équipements de qualité, des banques, des boutiques, des magasins, de beaux hôtels et des lodges. Une fois par semaine, le marché du samedi, très animé et coloré, est une activité impressionnante à observer.

De Namche, la marche mène au monastère de Tengboche, un endroit magnifique d'où l'on a une excellente vue sur le panorama montagneux avec l'Everest et le magnifique Amadablam, la visite du monastère est un autre point fort du voyage.

Après le monastère de Tengboche, vous pénétrez dans une région aride, complètement sauvage, composée de hautes montagnes et de vallées profondes. L'aventure vous mène au pied de l'Everest, au camp de base, à proximité de la cascade de glace du Khumbu et de ses glaciers.

Vous profiterez d'un temps et d'une expérience merveilleux où un autre moment fort vous mènera au point le plus élevé de l'aventure, à plus de 5 545 m, au sommet de la colline rocheuse de Kalapathar, qui vous offrira un panorama époustouflant sur les pics géants environnants, avec l'Everest à une courte distance.

L'aventure se termine après avoir exploré le camp de base de l'Everest et le haut Kalapathar. La route de retour vous emmène à travers de jolis paysages et des villages ruraux pour atteindre Namche Bazaar et revenir à Lukla.

C'est à Lukla que s'achève notre mémorable randonnée aventureuse, en prenant un court vol panoramique vers Katmandou pour conclure notre remarquable voyage et notre expérience du trekking au camp de base de l'Everest, le plus haut du monde.

Meilleures saisons pour le trekking au camp de base de l'Everest - 14 jours :

De mars à mai, au printemps, la plupart des jours sont clairs pour les vues et les promenades, il peut y avoir des nuages en fin d'après-midi avec des risques de neige dans les zones plus élevées, il fait froid le matin et la nuit et à l'ombre.

Les meilleurs mois, de mars à mai, sont ceux de la saison des fleurs sauvages sur les collines verdoyantes, en particulier les rhododendrons de différentes espèces, depuis les grands arbres jusqu'aux buissons.

La haute vallée du Khumbu, dans la région de l'Everest, à l'extrême nord du Népal, est peuplée de Sherpas, les montagnards de l'Everest, qui pratiquent la religion bouddhiste, des cultures ancestrales et une vie traditionnelle semblable à celle des Tibétains.

Morning after early breakfast leave the hotel for flights to Lukla on reaching Kathmandu domestic terminal and security check then board in a small aircraft either Twin Otter or Dornier could be similar plane for 30 mins flight to land at Lukla.


On reaching Lukla after a sweeping short flight facing views of Himalayan range of mountains with Mt. Everest. From Lukla walk starts heading down towards Dudh Kosi River to reach at Phakding village for overnight stop, after following through many interesting Sherpa farm villages.

Day 4

Jour 4 : Trek jusqu'à Namche Bazaar 3 440 m - 06 h.

Second day walk follows the river and crossing over bridges to reach at Monjo village with views of Tharmarserku and Kongde peaks, then enter Sagarmatha National Park (Sagarmatha in Nepal with another local name of Sherpa Chomolungma for Everest), from here within serene forested area to cross a high bridge to reach at Namche Bazaar.


Walk follows on winding ups for few hours with grand views of peaks in clear day Everest can be seen along the treks to Namche.


On reaching transfer into nice lodge and rest with time to browse around the Street of Namche with many shops and restaurants.

Day 5

Jour 5 : Journée de repos à Namche Bazaar pour l'acclimatation et l'excursion locale.

Namche at the height of 3,440 m a perfect spot for rest to support acclimatization where one can take short excursion to the view point above Namche for glorious panorama that includes Kongde, Tharmarserku, Kangtenga with Amadablam and Everest.


Enjoy visit to the park museum full of information of Khumbu area and Sherpa culture with mountaineering history, other options for side walk is climb up to Everest View Hotel (the first luxury hotel within Khumbu) where you can relax with refreshing drinks with views of Mt. Everest and other close peaks.

Day 6

Jour 6 : Trek jusqu'au monastère de Tengboche 3 867 m - 05 h.

After pleasant stop at Namche with rest days, morning walk follows on a scenic wide trail with gorgeous views of high snow capped peaks with Everest, as walk leads downhill to Imjatse River in a small place at Phungi-Tenga.


Possible lunch stop and then afternoon leads to climb for few hours into deep woods of rhododendron, magnolia, oaks, pines, firs and juniper trees then reaching at famous view point at Tengboche and the monastery.


Tengboche offers grand vista of surrounding peaks with Everest and close views of Amadablam with other chain of mountains where this beautiful spot located in the midst of forest.


Here with time for visit to its interesting monastery, where once a year great religious events Mani-Rimdu festival held in the month of October / November as per Buddhist calendar, a colorful festival with monks and priest in various masks dance to wade away evil spirits.


On this monastery where mountaineers gets blessed from the high priest for successful and safe climb to Everest or other adjoining famous peaks.

Day 7

Jour 7 : Trek jusqu'à Dingboche 4 260 m - 05hrs.

From Tengboche catching morning views of peaks with downhill start to reach at strong steel bridge where tree lines drops, from here onward with slow climb to Pangboche the last permanent village on route Everest Base Camp, where other places are temporary settlement to cater the needs of travelers.


With short rest walk continues up facing grand close views of Amadablam as walk nears above into an open exposed area to reach at Dingboche, a nice settlement located at Imjatse valley at the bottom of Amadablam North Face with views of famous Island peak.


At Dingboche for two overnight stops in this beautiful and scenic surroundings for acclimatization and hike.

Day 8

Jour 8 : Trek vers Lobuche 4 930 m - 05 h.

Journey slowly getting close to our destinations where morning walk starts with short climb to a hill marked with Buddhism monuments and prayer flags, where walk takes you on pleasant uphill path to reach at Thugla, where trails from Pheriche and Dingboche joins.


At Thugla for refreshing break or lunch with super views of Amadablam, Cholatse, Taboche with other giant peaks, from here climb for an hour to a hill called as Thulga pass, where you can notice many stone memorials of unfortunate climbers died on Mountains of Khumbu.


From here an hour or more walk on gradual path to reach at Lobuche for overnight stop, a small settlement with many good lodges to stay beneath peaks of Lobuche and views of Nuptse.

Day 9

Jour 9 : Vers le camp de base de l'Everest 5 364 m, retour à Gorakshep 5 180 m - 6 h.

Morning and day walk that reaches to our main highlight of the adventure at Everest Base Camp, walk follows on wide open field with small climb to reach a place, where short trail leads to an interesting place with Glass Pyramids, a Meteorological station a joint ventures of Italian and Nepalese Governments.


From here walk leads over moraine of ice and rocks above Khumbu glacier with views of Everest and Pumori peaks then reaching at isolated place of Gorakshep.


A place with few lodges on the mid way of Everest base camp and to Kalapathar Hill top close to Mt. Pumori, Gorakshep was an early Everest base camp till mid 1970’s then shifted further to present base camp as glaciers receded over many years.


After a rest at Gorakshep continue walk to reach at Everest Base Camp taking few hours, at base camp enjoy the great thrill of a lifetime experience within close to Khumbu Ice Fall and glaciers and beneath world number one Mt. Everest, in high mountaineering season this place is flooded with tents of expeditions camps.


Enjoy this great moment and the highlight of the adventure and return back to Gorakshep for overnight stop after fulfilling dream of a lifetime reaching at base camp.

Day 10

Jour 10 : Randonnée à Kalapathar 5 545 m et à Pangboche 3 900 m via Pheriche.

Early morning climb on top Kalapathar located above 5,545 m, the highest point of the adventure enjoy magnificent views of mountains with Mt. Everest at close distance.


After enjoying views descend to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue walk to Thugla, from here downhill to Pheriche around windy valley with nice scenic walk to Pheriche for possible lunch stop.


Pheriche houses many lodges with a health post and a station of HRA (Himalayan Rescue Association). From here another few hours of good walk reaches you at Pangboche village for overnight halt.

Day 11

Jour 11 : Trek jusqu'à Namche Bazaar - 06 heures de marche.

Today walk from Pangboche to Namche, morning trek follows on same route from Pangboche to reach at scenic Thyangboche Monastery, allowing you with more time on this beautiful spot to explore its interesting monastery and observe monks and priest on prayer chanting in the harmony of tranquil surrounding of green woodland and mountain views.


From Thyangboche walk downhill with short up to reach at Namche Bazaar with grand views of Everest and Amadablam includes other close peaks then reaching at Namche for overnight stop after a pleasant walk of short ups and downs.

Day 12

Jour 12 : Trekking jusqu'à Lukla - 06 heures.

Today long and last walk of the journey from Namche to Lukla, morning starts with long descend towards Sagarmatha National Park entrance at Monjo village and then crossing a long bridge to reach at Phakding.


From Phakding towards Lukla as walk leads ups and downhill with last climb of an hour to reach at Lukla for last overnight stop in Khumbu and Everest region.

Day 13

Jour 13 : Vol pour Katmandou et transfert à l'hôtel.

From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu with panorama of mountains views all the way to Kathmandu, at Kathmandu domestic airport our staff transfers you back into your hotel with free afternoon to relax after a great and wonderful time on Everest Base Camp Trekking – 14 days.

Day 14

Booking with us:

After going through our norms and conditions you ask for information and queries if in doubt, all trip booking for Nepal destinations should be made by two months earlier minimum of two weeks times, so that we arrange necessary details well in advance to avoid disappointment like hotel-domestic airlines booking and as well chartering bus-coach or booking tourist bus tickets ahead before your arrival.

25% down payment which you can transfer to Bank Account in Kathmandu / Nepal rest of the trip cost to be made on arrival in Kathmandu before trek / tour departures, where applicable foreign currencies accepted like US $ – UK Pounds, and Euro or Chinese / Indian.

For Tibet and Bhutan at least minimum of one month booking ahead to arrange all logistic and entry permits for neighboring countries with 50% in advance.


Booking in Last Hour:

We accept your last hour booking in the eve of trip departure with 100% payment (07 days prior to tour starting date only for Nepal Trips, excluding trips Tibet, Bhutan and India not accepted as this requires at least 3 weeks in advance prior to trip departure for Nepal neighboring countries.

Trips Cancellation Policy:

On booking, some might be compelled to cancel the trip with various reasons from personal / domestic, medical, health, job or with some other situations, in this case where cancellation fees will be applied of 25% as cancellation charge, where you will be notified us or to our overseas agents with minimum of month in advance before trip departure.

60 % cancellation fee applied on 2 weeks to a month notice.

No refund on last minute or no show situation.

If clients has to return or break from the tour, trekking / or any other trips earlier than proposed itinerary days due to medical / physical or personal reasons clients has to borne his / her own expenses on route of trekking and at hotel in Kathmandu or in any other last main cities before you departure for home.

There are no refunds, if the company has to reroute to other areas due to unavoidable circumstances and from bad weather.

If such conditions arise company holds the right and providing you a hassle free adventure holidays with enjoyable time.

Clients’ Responsibility:

A tour / trekking guide representing our company holds all authority during treks and tours. If one behave badly or commit any unlawful act, where you will be compelled to leave the tour / treks. No refund will be made in such condition.

NEPAL VISA & PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients are requested to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole / own responsibility of clients.

CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES FOR BHUTAN:

01: Required minimum of 30 days for cancellation notice prior to trip departure and it must be in written form, such notice will be implied from the day the note is received. Cancellation shall be valid after the company approval on receiving the documentation. The Trip shall then be termed as cancelled and then 50% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance paid as cancellation charge.

02: There will be no refunds if a passenger cancels the trip or leaves a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily, involuntarily or if you commit any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. We will make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

03: On the eve of trip departure if you are prevented in joining the chosen tour, unfortunately there is no refund regarding this, transfer or postponing options are available as the Bhutanese Government has strict Tourism act and policies.

BHUTAN VISAS & PASSPORT CONDITIONS:

All clients requested to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. For Bhutan visas you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications at least 45 days prior to the fix departure date.

TIBET CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES:

01: As per the company rules, there will be no refund to clients with less than 20 days notice given to us, on or before Trip departure and if a clients leaves the trip earlier for due to personal or medical reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily and if committed any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. Then the company is compelled to make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

02: If client require any changes from the chosen original tour, the person who have booked the tour must submit a written document with any changes required. Then we will make every effort after the notification, but the changes cannot be guaranteed.

03: If you are compelled to cancel from travelling on the tour by genuine reason or circumstances, for example (without restriction) due to death, injury or any serious illness of the person, close relative or friends, redundancy or jury service, in this case one may postpone or transfer your booking to another close person, as long or provided they meet all the requirements relating to that trip. You are requested to provide proof of why you were unable to travel at the time and need to change your booking.

NEPAL / TIBET VISAS & PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients are requested to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients.

As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications to this country, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.

HEALTH & FITNESS:

All Treks and Tours requires where one should be in sound health and good level of fitness before signing trip with us, client requires should with your Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.

It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Eco Holidays Nepal of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.

CHILDREN:

An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen. If you have any queries regarding age and suitability, please contact us for further information.

PUBLICITY:

Request to allow Eco Holidays Nepal to use pictures, snaps or images of you taken during the trip without being informed and as well without compensation, for company promotion and advertising purpose only through whatever medium takes place.

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY AND PRICING:

Travelling with us requires a degree of flexibility, positive attitude good humor and understanding where mode of transport, accommodation and itineraries may change, even after the tour has commenced, without prior notice due to local circumstances such as flight delay, cancellation or postponement, road block due to riots and political crises.

WEATHER:

Himalayan regions or other unpredictable circumstances such as land-slides, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest or delay arrival etc. Eco Holidays Nepal is unable to refund any payment under the above circumstances due to prior supplier arrangements. If possible we will always endeavor to provide you an alternative or substitute trip of same category.

Eco Holidays Nepal does not accept any responsibility for loss on employment, delays or compensation resulting from situations beyond our control.

Our holidays, tour / trek packages, are based on twin share accommodation. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to clients who do not have another tour participant to share accommodation with.

We reserve the right to revise pricing rates posted in our marketing material, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc.

PRIVACY:

In order to gather information from you to make a booking through Eco Holidays Nepal  Destination, may ask many questions to obtain necessary permits etc. No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purposes.

Weather is another factor that directly impact on the journey. Hence, patience and positive in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before hand is must in taking part around third world countries.

The best thing is to take as it comes and think positively, then you will enjoy the holiday with us.

Travel Insurance:

You must have complete travel insurance package against medical, travel for natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation etc. This is strongly suggested to all our respected clients.

Tour Amendment:

To make alterations of any trek / tour itinerary, prior notice is requested.

You are advised to stay in touch with us thus, but occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc.

Your personal belongings:

On any account, we are not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by Eco Holiday Nepal  porters, yaks-ponies or vehicles.

That means your personal possessions; luggage might be at your risk at the times, and however our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.

Papers & Documents:

All necessary documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, obtain necessary permits etc. We are not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departure on the absence of essential papers and documents.

Risk & Responsibility:

Assuring your complete safety and satisfaction which is our main responsibility and concern, we therefore carry out our service sincerely & earnestly ensuring a hassle free holiday.

Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may change under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.

08: Private comfortable cars, coach or bus (as per the size of the group) on long driving journeys as per the trip selected.

09: Group Orientation program on do’s and don’ts regarding your trip.

10: International Air Tickets Re-Confirmation.

11: Our guide will have basic First Aid and Medical Kits.

Trek / Tour Grades information:

Leisure tours or walking trips:

For any physically fit of all ages with sound health, these trips involves short walking days of few hours and more of tour with scenic drives at places of interest.  The whole trip goes from 4-5 to 8 days on trek or scenic tour.

On rafting for a day or two days.

Moderate Trips:

For any physically fit of all ages that have done normal walk and with sound health. These trips involves few ups and down and the length of treks will be from 4-5 hours of walk every day with plenty of break in between. The whole trip goes from 2-5 to 8 days.

Adventurous Trips:

For physically fit person of all ages with sound health who have done moderate to vigorous walk or activity before or at present. These kind of treks involves long ups and down and the length of treks will be from 6-7 hours of walk every day with break in between. The whole trip goes from 10 to 20 days in the high altitude. On Rafting it involves river expedition for 7 -10 days.
