Itinéraire

La Géorgie est une terre de grande antiquité, où l'on trouve les plus anciens restes humains d'Europe et où la vinification a commencé il y a 8 000 ans. La préservation de ce patrimoine a toujours été associée au sentiment d'identité nationale du peuple géorgien.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Lundi : Tbilissi - Jvari - Mtskheta

10:00 - tour starts from Sameba cathedral and Metekhi Church before continuing to the Abanotubani district famous with Sulphur baths. We will take the cable car to visit Narikala Fortress, explore Shardeni Street with its many souvenir and gift shops. No tour of Tbilisi would be complete without visiting Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati basilica. From Freedom square we stroll along Rustaveli Avenue, the main street in Tbilisi. Continue to Jvari Church built in the end of VI century. From here the beautiful panorama of Mtskheta, which lies between the peaks and the confluence of two rivers. Drive to Mzkheta old city, visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and return to Tbilisi.

Day 2

Mardi : Signagi - Bodbe - Gremi - Telavi

09:00 - drive to fortified city Signagi, surrounded with a wall and watchtowers. Explore convent of Bodbe, the territory of the monastery offers spectacular views of the land of the best Georgian wines - Alazani Valley with peaks of the Greater Caucasus towering behind it. Continue to Gremi fortress, visit local history museum and experience the unique traditions of the region at local Community, where you can savor Kakhetian wines crafted in Kvevri in accordance with local customs. Arrive in Telavi, visit Telavi old town and the food market Check in to hotel.  

Overnight in Kakheti province. Meal: breakfast, diner. Tour route: 225 km / 140 miles.

Day 3

Mercredi : Alaverdi - Tsinandali - Ananuri - Gudauri

10:00 - we will start this day with Tsinandali Estate - well known for its beauty. Prince Alexander Chavchavadze was a poet and a prominent figure in Georgia. In his home you can find an art gallery and a bar, where you can try Tsinandali - the first Georgian wine produced in accordance with the European technology. Next stop is in the Alaverdi Cathedral. Built in the early XI century, it is one of four Great Cathedrals of the country and the highest of the ancient churches of Georgia. Continue towards the Caucasus Mountains, we will make a stop on the bank of the Zhinvali reservoir and visit Ananuri Castle, check in and diner at the hotel.

Day 4

Jeudi : Kazbegi - Gergeti - Tbilissi

09:00 - we will follow the old Georgian Military road through Cross Pass, a route steeped in both natural beauty and historical significance. On the way stop at the Friendship monument, our path leads us to Stephantsminda, a quaint town surrounded by the majestic Caucasus Mountains. Here we will drive up to Gergeti mountain and enjoy beautiful panorama from the iconic Trinity Church. After the exploration of Kazbegi area, we'll drive to Tbilisi. Check in to hotel.

It is maximum of 14 persons limit per group. All listed departure dates are guaranteed if available seats are left.

All tours include: guide assistance, accommodation, breakfast at the hotels, entrance fees and museum tickets.

Cancellation 15 days prior arrival is free of charge; when cancelled after 14 days prior arrival 50% will be charged. 

Update for 2020 year: any modification, cancellation, or no show caused by the global circumstances is penalty free till the end of the year and all payments was made are instantly refundable, or can be hold as a deposit and you can use for future trips during the next 3 years.
