Today you will experience the vibrant metropolis of Hanoi, which impresses with its magnificent colonial buildings and pagodas. In the morning, you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the former home of the legendary politician, where he lived from 1958 to 1969. Afterwards, you will visit the most important literary temple in Vietnam and the legendary Chua Mot Cot, also known as the "One Pillar Pagoda". You will take a drive around the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and visit the so-called "Jade Mountain Temple", the Ngoc Son Temple. Then take a one-hour rickshaw ride through Hanoi's old town, one of the most beautiful in Asia. A performance at the water puppet theater rounds off the day.

On the new highway, along the rice fields of the Red River Delta, you will travel to the famous Halong Bay, which is known for its emerald green water and thousands of limestone islands covered in rainforest. Your boat trip on a junk takes you through a mystical world of islands. Lunch and dinner with specialties fresh from the sea. Overnight stay on board the junk.

In the morning, continue your cruise through the beautiful island world of Halong Bay and enjoy breakfast on board. You will continue your cruise through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay until midday. After lunch, disembark and return to Hanoi. From there you will fly to Hue in central Vietnam. You will be met at the airport by your tour guide and taken to your hotel in Hue.

Today you will take a boat trip on the beautiful Huong River, also known as the "Perfume River", to the Thien Mu Pagoda, which is well worth seeing. With the imposing Phuoc Duyen Tower, this pagoda is the highest in Vietnam. You will then visit the legendary Imperial Palace and tour the venerable imperial city of Hue. A visit to the Trang Tien Bridge and the Dong Ba Market in Hue's old town will give you a unique insight into the exciting Vietnamese culture and cuisine. In the afternoon, explore the famous royal tombs of Hue. Continue to Hoi An with a stopover on the 496-metre-high Cloud Pass, the weather divide between the subtropical north and tropical south. Here you have the opportunity to admire the sunset from the mountain pass. From the 16th to the 18th century, Hoi An was a flourishing international trading port. Today it is a picturesque riverside town popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailor shops and cafes. Check in to your hotel in Hoi An and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Transfer to Danang airport and flight to Saigon. On arrival in Saigon, you will travel directly from the airport to the Mekong Delta. This region is the southernmost in Vietnam and is also known as the "breadbasket", as the rice for the whole country is grown here. You drive to Ben Tre and start your boat trip on the Mekong there. You stop at a small farm and can sample delicious local fruit and tea. A rickshaw will take you to a nice restaurant for lunch. Continue by small boat along the narrow waterways back to Ben Tre and return to Saigon by transfer.

In the morning, your transfer will take you to Saigon airport. From there, you will fly on to the "Island of the Gods" - Bali. When you arrive in Denpasar, you will be met and taken to your beach hotel in nearby Sanur or Nusa Dua. You will spend the next few days of your beach vacation there.
