• Activity: Depart from Kathmandu early in the morning and drive through the scenic hills of Nepal to reach Salleri. The journey is long but offers picturesque views of the landscape. After reaching Salleri, you’ll rest overnight and prepare for the trek ahead.

• Activity: Drive from Salleri to Surke, a small village near the trek starting point. After the long drive, start your trek to Phakding. The trek is relatively easy, passing through small Sherpa villages, lush forests, and beautiful landscapes. You’ll reach Phakding for an overnight stay and rest after your first trekking day.

• Activity: Start your trek from Phakding and follow the Dudh Koshi River, passing through pine forests and crossing suspension bridges. As you ascend, the views of the surrounding mountains, including Everest, become more prominent. You’ll reach Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest, known for its vibrant market and Sherpa culture. This bustling town offers plenty of places to rest and shop.

• Activity: Acclimatization is important at higher altitudes to avoid altitude sickness. You’ll take a rest day in Namche Bazaar, giving your body time to adjust. You can hike up to the Everest View Hotel for breathtaking views of Everest and surrounding peaks, or visit the nearby Khumjung Village to learn about local Sherpa culture and traditions.

• Activity: The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche is a beautiful walk through dense forests and across rivers. The highlight of the day is reaching Tengboche, where you’ll find the famous Tengboche Monastery. It’s a peaceful place with stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. You’ll stay overnight here, soaking in the serene atmosphere.

• Activity: From Tengboche, the trek continues through alpine forests and past traditional Sherpa villages. As you ascend, the terrain becomes more rugged, and the views of the surrounding peaks become more awe-inspiring. After a challenging but rewarding day, you’ll arrive in Dingboche, a small village known for its great acclimatization location.

• Activity: Dingboche is a great spot for acclimatization. You’ll rest today and can take a hike to Nagarjun Hill (5,100 m), which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Makalu, Lhotse, and Everest. This hike helps your body adjust to the altitude, reducing the risk of altitude sickness.

• Trek Duration: 5 to 6 hours
• Activity: The trail from Dingboche to Lobuche takes you higher into the Khumbu Valley. The terrain is more barren and rocky, with fewer trees. As you approach Lobuche, you’ll pass the memorials of climbers who have lost their lives on Everest. The day’s trek is challenging, but it prepares you for the final ascent to Everest Base Camp.

• Activity: Today is the day you’ve been waiting for – the trek to Everest Base Camp. You’ll begin early, trekking through the rocky moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. The final stretch to Base Camp is the most thrilling part, as you arrive at the base of the world’s highest mountain. After soaking in the views, you’ll return to Gorak Shep for an overnight rest.

• Trek Duration: 7 to 8 hours
• Activity: Early in the morning, you’ll hike up to Kala Patthar for an unforgettable sunrise view over Everest and the surrounding peaks. This is one of the best panoramic views of the Himalayas. After spending some time at the top, you’ll descend to Pheriche, a lower altitude village, where you’ll spend the night and recover from the high altitudes.

• Activity: Descend back towards Namche Bazaar, passing through familiar villages and crossing several suspension bridges. The descent is easier than the ascent, but still offers beautiful views along the way. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you’ll have time to relax and reflect on your Everest adventure.
