Itinéraire


La route du Lemosho est l'itinéraire le plus spectaculaire et le plus beau pour monter au Kilimandjaro. C'est l'itinéraire le plus éloigné et le plus populaire aujourd'hui, qui traverse certains des paysages les plus saisissants et les moins fréquentés du Kilimandjaro, notamment la base du pic Kibo et les glaciers spectaculaires orientés vers le sud. Cet itinéraire présente l'avantage supplémentaire de traverser le plateau de Shira, un site classé au patrimoine mondial, et de faire le tour du Kilimandjaro à 180 degrés. De plus, cet itinéraire laisse beaucoup de temps pour s'acclimater à la haute altitude, ce qui est la clé de votre sécurité, de votre confort, de votre plaisir et de votre réussite lors de votre trekking sur le Kilimandjaro. Programme du circuit

Day 1

Jour 1 : Arusha au camp Mti Mkubwa

To Mti Mkubwa Camp 9100ft/2650m

After breakfast in the morning, you will drive approximately for two to three hours to the Londorosi gate where you will do registration and get entrance permit. Then, you will drive again for one hour to Lemosho starting point where you will get off from the jeep and stop for picnic lunch. After lunch, you will meet all the crews including the rest of the guides, cooks, and porters.

Day 2

Jour 2 : Randonnée vers le camp de Shira 1

Hike to Shira 1 camp 11,500feet/3650m

Today it will be one of our beautiful hike about 6-7 hours including lunch stop to cover distance of 7km and after two hours walk we will be in the moorland zone on the west side of the Shira plateaus where you will be able to see old lava flows and we will enjoying the sun and walking slowly more breaks for acclimatize until we arrive at our camp for overnight.

Day 3

Jour 3 : Du camp Shira 1 au refuge Moir

To Moir Hut 13800ft/4200m

Today we will hike about 4-6 hours to cover the distance of 9km also we will cross the middle of Shira plateau a world heritage site to our picnic lunch at fishers point. After lunch we will walk for 1-2 hours hiking through moorland zone and arriving to our beautiful overnight camp located at the base of massive lava flow.

Day 4

Jour 4 : Randonnée vers le camp 1 de Barranco

Hike to Barranco Camp 13,044feet/3940m

Today we will keep walking in alpine desert for 9km about 6-8 hours, We will start by climbing over steep hills and very few rock, then steady uphill climb to Lava tower (150m high volcanic plug that juts out the side of the mountain) and stop for lunch around noon. From this point some people might start to feel mild headache due to altitude change. From lava tower we will descend about 2 hours through dust and rock trail to overnight at Baranco camp.

Day 5

Jour 5 : Du camp de Barranco au camp de Karanga

Hike to Karanga Camp 13,106feet/3995m

Today is short day for 4-6 hours to cover distance of 6km and we will start by scrambling up the great Baranco wall for about 1-2 hours. In this wall some section will be steep forcing you to use hands to reach and maneuver yourself around rock boulders like rock climbing, Although is not challenging as rock climbing. At the top of the wall you can see Baranco valley and the campsite you spend a night before also you will walk up and down to Karanga valley which is the last water point to the mountain and on top of the ridge it will be our campsite where we will  have hot lunch and overnight. 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb – Londorosi Route

Day 6

Jour 6 : Du camp de Karanga au camp de Barafu

Hike to Barafu Camp 15,330feet/4600m

Today we will have another walking of 4km for 3-5 hours in steep uphill with a lot of boulders and shattered rock crossing upper alpine desert .We will go through a steep ridge until we reach a rocky section more scrambling for about an hour and half. Our next camp will be on large rocky with steep faces and we will have earlier dinner and sleep earlier because we have to wake up in the mid night for summit.

Day 7

Jour 7 : Du camp de Barafu au pic Uhuru

 Summit to Uhuru Peak (19,340feet/5895m) and descend to Mweka hut 10,065feet/3100m

We will wake up around 11:00pm have some tea and snacks dress up warm for the summit. We will start our summit around mid-night by start with steep rocks for about 2-3 hours and then we will start crossing zigzag area and keep moving to crater rim and finally Stella point 5756m around 6am. At Stella point we will meet with other hikers from other route and join them heading to Uhuru peak and we will be able to see sun rise on our way or at the summit. Once we arrive at the summit we will stay for 10-15minutes for pictures and view then descend down via the same trail about 3 hours to Barafu camp for resting, brunch and descend to Mweka hut.

Day 8

Jour 8 : Descente de Mweka Hut à Mweka Gate-Arusha

Descend from Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate 5,380feet/1640m

Today after breakfast you will meet your Eastland adventures Kilimanjaro crew for group pictures and Kilimanjaro songs afterward we will start descending down via rain forest about 3-4 hours to cover the distance of 10km, Also if you will be lucky we can see blue monkeys, black and white Colobus monkeys and other wildlife. At Mweka gate we will sign out in Kilimanjaro national park log book and our guide will collect certificate for those manage successful summit then drive to your hotel in Arusha for hot shower and Kilimanjaro beer.

Cancellations:

 

Prior to tour departure, for cancellations received by us in writing:

•    If you cancel your tour a month before the tour start date, full 

deposit paid is non-refundable.

•    1 month or less prior or no show: 100% tour cost.

•    There are no refunds for unused portions of the program. Therefore, 

refunds will not be made to clients who do not complete their tour for 

their own reason/s, whatsoever amendments made to the itinerary once 

paid for, may result in additional costs.

•    If you cancel your tour one week after your total cost payment has 

been processed, you will receive refund of 75% from your total payment.

•    A 50% refund will be made for those who cancel their tour 4 weeks to 

two months before start date.

•    A 30% deposit is always used on paying for a client’s accommodations, 

and that is why is not refundable. However, if you extend your depart 

date within a year for any reason after you pay 30% deposit, your 30% 

deposit can be extended for one year. The money will only apply towards 

your trip cost if you visit Tanzania and book a tour though Cross to 

Africa Safaris within one year from your cancellation date.

•    Therefore, all refunds are subject to wire transfer fees in case of 

cancellation.

•    There will be no refund for any completed program.

Alterations of tours:

•    To alter route and settlements in the itinerary, should conditions 

necessitate, for the benefit of the client.

•    To subcontract all or part of the agreed tour.

•    To replace a faulty vehicle and compensate hours lost, by extra safari 

hours or days.

•    To change an accommodation (hotel, lodge, tented camp, guest house, 

camp site etc.) with another same-level accommodation.

Insurance:

It must be clearly understood that these are adventure safaris, and 

there are certain dangers and risks which are inevitable. Whilst every 

care is taken for the safety and comfort of our clients, the company 

accepts no liability for all or any of the following:

•    Damage or loss of property of any client, howsoever caused.

•    Sickness, infection, injury or death of the clients, howsoever caused.

•    Change of itinerary due to road and weather conditions.

•    Damages, directly or indirectly, arising out of delays in departure or 

arrival, including delays occasioned by the missing of road, rail, ship 

or aircraft connections.

•    War and other rare calamities which may occur while on the safari.

•    All the above and other unexpected situations can arise before or 

during any type of vacation. Such an event might cause you to cut short 

your vacation or cause your trip to be cancelled all together. 

Unfortunately, because of the costs incurred by the tour operator, any 

cancellation after booking incurs financial penalties, up to and 

including loss of the entire package price. That’s why we strongly 

recommend a travel protection plan offered by an insurance company in 

your country.

For one low per-person price, you can buy peace of mind and keep your 

vacation worry-free. You can purchase insurance online with any 

insurance company.
