Itinéraire

Depuis son ouverture aux randonneurs étrangers en 1977, le circuit de l'Annapurna est réputé pour être l'une des randonnées les plus spectaculaires et les plus variées au monde, avec des vallées verdoyantes et des villages fascinants qui offrent des vues impressionnantes sur les sommets enneigés de l'Himalaya blanc.

Commençant à moins de 1 000 mètres d'altitude, il permet d'explorer l'Himalaya de bas en haut et sous de nombreux angles et perspectives différents.

Ce trek de trois semaines commence directement à Besisahar, le long de la rivière Marshyangdi, avec de superbes vues sur le Manaslu et l'Himal Chuli à l'est.

Ce magnifique trek nous conduit au village de Besisahar, habité par une grande diversité de personnes issues de différents groupes ethniques, offrant des vues spectaculaires et majestueuses de l'Himalaya.

En continuant vers le nord de la chaîne principale de l'Himalaya jusqu'au haut et sec plateau tibétain, le paysage est tout aussi époustouflant.

Le point culminant du circuit de l'Annapurna est le col de Thorung La, au sommet de la vallée, à 5416 m d'altitude. En raison des difficultés de franchissement du col, le circuit est généralement parcouru dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre.

Dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, l'ascension plus longue et la descente plus courte de l'ouest vers l'est sont trop difficiles à gérer pour de nombreuses personnes en une seule journée.

Nous descendons vers l'ouest à Muktinath, puis nous continuons vers le village tibétain aride de la Kali Gandaki, la gorge la plus profonde du monde, qui passe entre les montagnes géantes de l'Annapurna et du Dhaulagiri.

Après avoir franchi le col de Thorung La de Manang à Muktinath, les sept derniers jours du circuit sont les mêmes que ceux du trek de Jomsom au départ de Pokhara, mais en sens inverse.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Jour 1 : Arrivée à KATHMANDU (1300m/4265ft)

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this historic and vibrant city. Meals: NO



Day 2

Jour 2 : Acclimatation KATHMANDU

After breakfast we depart the hotel for a full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the “city of glory.” We visit Durbar (Palace) Square, the epicenter of religious and cultural life, an area filled with old temples and historical significance with old glorious Newari architecture. Some of the sights include Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap and Kumari Ghar; home to the Living Goddess. Afterwards we visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, which is majestically set high on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. We proceed towards Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River.  Later we visit Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions, watching for righteous behavior of mankind and for human prosperity. Day 3

Jour 3 : Route vers BESI SAHAR (800m/2625ft)

It takes around six hours and we drive along the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway. Besi Sahar, the headquarters of Lamjung, has long been the starting point for the Annapurna circuit trek. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 4

Jour 4 : Trek vers BAHUNDANDA (1270m/4167ft)

Today our journey starts at Besishahar, from where, the trail makes the climb to Khudi at 790m, then reach the first Gurung village. As we continue from Khudi the trail offers fine views of Himalchuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli). It climbs to Bhulbhule at 840m, it then goes to Ngadi before reaching Lampata and nearby is Bahundanda. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 5

Jour 5 : Trek jusqu'à CHAMJE (1410m/4626ft)

The trail drops steeply to Syange at 1070m from Bahundanda. Leaving Bahundanda a large waterfall may be seen. Crossing the Marsyangdi River on a suspension bridge we follow the river to the stone village of Jagat before climbing through forest to Chamje.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 6

Jour 6 : Trek vers BAGARCHHAP (2160m/7087ft)

Our day begins with the rocky trail following the Marsyandi Rivers steadily uphill to Tal at 1675m, the first village in the Manang district. We make a trail verse crossing a wide, flat valley. The journey continues up and down to Dharapani. A stone entrance chorten typical of the Tibetan influenced villages. Upon reaching Bagarchhap at 2160 meters the typical flat roofed stone houses of local Tibetans design along with the village surrounded by apple Orchards and maize fields.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 7

Jour 7 : Trek vers CHAME (2710m/8892ft)

The trail climbs to Tyanja  and continue through forest to Kopar. As we reach Chame, the headquarters of the Manang district, we are rewarded by the fine views of Annapurna II as we approach Chame and two small hot springs by the town. Along this route we are introduced to a local community said to have migrated from Tibet a long time past, noticeable by their different features. With them, they have bought local Tibetan house designs and maintained their ways. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 8

Jour 8 : Trek jusqu'à PISANG (3310m/10860ft)

The day starts through deep forest in a steep and narrow valley, crosses a river on a long bridge at 2910meters. We then cross another bridge at 3040meters, from there the view of the soaring Paungda Danda rock face really begins to appear. From there the trail joins to climb to Pisang, which sprawls between 3200m & 3300meters. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 9

Jour 9 : Trek vers MANANG (3540m/11615ft)

Today we continue through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of the monsoon by the Annapurna Range. People of this region herd the yaks and raise crops for part of the year. They also continue to enjoy special trading rights gained way back in 1784. Leaving Pisang, we have alternate trails north and south of the Marsyangdi River which meets up again at Mungji. The southern route by Hongde, with its airstrip, at 3325meters which involves less climbing than the northern route via Ghyaru, though there are better views on the trail that follows the northern bank of the river. From Mungji, the trail continues past the picturesque but partially hidden village of Bryanga at 3475meters to nearby Manang at 3540meters.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinnerr



Day 10

Jour 10 : Acclimatation à MANANG

Today we spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. The whole day we spend doing some fine day walks and over viewing the magnificent views around the village & the day time is best to gain altitude. At the end of the day, we return back to our accommodation & have a night rest. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 11

Jour 11 : Trek vers YAK KHARKA (4020m/13190ft)



Today we leave Manang, & the trail makes an ascent of nearly 500meters to the Yak Kharka. We make the climb steadily through Tenki Manang, leaving the Marsyangi Valley. Continuing along the Jarsang Khola Valley, we reach Yak Kharka where we see the many yaks and vegetations steadily more sparse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner




Day 12

Jour 12 : Trek vers THORUNG PHEDI (4540m/14896ft)



After asending for two hours the trail descends to cross the river at 4310meters we then climb up to Thorong Phedi. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 13

Jour 13 : Trek vers MUKTINATH (3800m/12468ft) via THORUNG LA PASS (5416m/17770ft)

Today is a long trek starting before sunrise to reach the pass by 9-10 am otherwise weather conditions will greatly affect the journey. Crossing over at an altitude of 5416 meters we can be exposed to strong winds if too late. We start to climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it is covered by heavy snow. About four hours climb up to the pass marked by the chortens & prayer flags. As we reach the top, we are rewarded by the magnificent view from the top with another 4 hours trek will take to the holy town of Muktinath.


Muktinath means place of Nirvana and is home to the Muktinath temple as well as several religious shrines, sacred pilgrimage site to both Hindus and Buddhists. The main pilgrimage normally takes place in September. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has 108 waterspouts around it from which Holy water pours. Another attraction nearby is the Jwala Mai Temple this contains a spring and an eternal flame fed by natural underground gas.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 14

Jour 14 : Trek jusqu'à MARPHA (2680m/8793ft)



Our descent continues through the Kali Gandaki Valley to Marpha. Marpha is home to many apple orchards as well as all the various food products made from the fruit. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 15

Jour 15 : Trek jusqu'à GHASA (2000m/ 6562ft)

We descend through the valley following the Kali Gandaki River to Ghasa. We walk along the bank of Kali Gandaki River. Overnight at Guesthouse. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 16

Jour 16 : Trek vers TATOPANI (1190m/3904ft)


Today, we walk through the world’s deepest gorge in the Earth at Kopchepani; we then continue descending through the Kali Gandaki River valley to Tatopani. This place is famous for its hot springs. This is the best place to relax after a long days trek.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 17

Jour 17 : Détente aux sources d'eau chaude de TATOPANI

On this day we relax at hot springs in Tatopani and stroll around in the evening to explore the village. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 18

Jour 18 : Trekking jusqu'à GHOREPANI (2750m/9023ft)

We ascend to Ghorepani arriving mid afternoon.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 19

Jour 19 : Trek jusqu'à POON HILL (3210m/10532ft) ; Trek jusqu'à TIKHEDHUNGA (1540m/5053ft)



Early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at an elevation of 3210meters,  vantage point that provides views of the early morning sunrise over the high Himalayas. Spending one hour at Poon Hill we return to Ghorepani and trek down through rhododendron forests to large Magar village of Ulleri at 2070meters. After that we descend steeply down to Tikhedunga.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 20

Jour 20 : Trekking jusqu'à NAYAPUL 3-4 heures ; 1000m de descente ; Route vers POKHARA

We take the main trail that leads to south dropping at first on a staircase, and then traversing high above the river on a stone paved trail. We cross a stream at Chane (1690m) and continue to Kimche (1640m) and follow the ridge downhill to join the Modi Khola at Syauli bazaar (1140m). From here on the walking is flat and following the river valley through a lovely birch forest and rice terraces we reach Birethanti. Now walking 30 minutes on a rough and rocky road takes us to Nayapul from where we drive back to Pokhara. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner



Day 21

Jour 21 : Visite de POKHARA (884m/2900ft)


Early at dawn we hike up to Sarangkot viewpoint to witness nature’s ethereal lightshow as the sun rises over the Annapurna range turning its peaks from white to gold. After breakfast we go to see the deep, narrow gorge of roaring Seti River from where we drive to Devi’s Falls and further to Gupteswar Cave and the Bat Cave. In the evening we go lazing by the Phewa Lake for the leisurely row on its sparkling waters. Meals: Breakfast



Day 22

Jour 22 : Vol de retour vers KATHMANDU


Fly back to Kathmandu and drop to the hotel. This is a leisure day which can be utilized buying gifts and souvenirs for your friends and family. In the evening you will be invited to join FAREWELL reviewing great photos and share experiences of the trip. Meals: Breakfast, Farewell Dinner



Day 23

Terms and Condition

1. HOW TO BOOK:

Your contract will be with Serene Himalaya Treks and expedition. To book any of our trips, please send the completed booking form along with the copy of your passport and 20% of the total amount as a non refundable booking deposit per person per trip.

2. PAYMENT:

The balance of the trip price is payable on your arrival in Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan/India. If final payment is not received 2 days after your arrival, cancellation conditions will apply as per the clause below. Final trip documentation will be released upon full trip payment.

3. TRIP AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS:

AMENDMENT: If you wish to make amendments to your trip arrangements, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Each amendment to your trip arrangements will incur a $30 administration fee and you will be liable for any increase in airfares or operational expenses occasioned by the amendment.

TRANSFER: If you wish to transfer from one tour to another, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Once SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION receives your notice the transfer will take effect and the following transfer charges will apply:

If your notice is received more than 60 days prior to your original departure date, a $100 transfer fee will apply. In addition, any increase in airfares or operational services will be payable by you: or

If your notice is received within 60 days prior to your original departure date, charges will be as per cancellation clause.

It may not be possible to make any transfers of the bookings within 10 days of departure. Fees for the late changes will vary from a minimum of USD 50 and above per booking, if the changes can be made.

4. CANCELLATIONS:

If you wish to cancel your tour, you must notify Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

in writing. Once Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

No refunds are made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip starts and refunds will be at the discretion of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason. No refunds will be made for accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or any services not used

5. CANCELLATION DUE TO TRIP BOOKING NUMBERS:

Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

reserves the right to cancel any trip before it is guaranteed to run. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise. In this case you are entitled to take an alternative trip of the same value without charge or you will be given a full refund of the trip price paid by you. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damage or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise.

6. ROUTE CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION OR DELAY:

SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right to change the route, postpone, cancel or delay the trip due to reasons beyond its control such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, wars, riots, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions etc. In this case SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION will refund the trip price only.

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

7. INSURANCE:

It is a condition of booking a trip with SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION. Your insurance must include cover for; medical expenses, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items and cancellation and curtailment, cost of repatriation and evacuation via whatever means necessary including by helicopter/air ambulance. If, in the event of an emergency medical rescue or evacuation from a trip of you the client, either by foot, helicopter or otherwise the responsibility for the payment of such costs will lie with the client. Any subsequent costs incurred for expenses such as hotels, food, transport etc shall be borne by the client. You must ensure that your insurance covers all of the activities you expect to participate in your trip. You must provide evidence to SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION upon your arrival. If you cannot provide the evidence of insurance you will be required to take out a suitable policy at that time. If you are not insured for any reason, you will not be allowed to continue with your trip and will not be entitled to any refund for services not provided.

8. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. In some cases, full and correct passport information is required when a booking is submitted to us in order that we can obtain necessary tickets, permits and visas on your behalf. If you do not supply the appropriate and correct information when you make your booking, we will not be able to make the necessary bookings on your behalf and cannot be held responsible.

9. RESPONSIBILITY:

Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise and accept the risks and hazards potentially involved in adventure holidays and that you are mentally and physically capable of undertaking your chosen trip. You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition or disability that might affect your holiday or other group members enjoyment of it, before you book your holiday. If, in our reasonable opinion, your chosen holiday is not suitable for your medical condition or disability we reserve the right to refuse your booking. We reserve the right to cancel the contract if medical problems are discovered and, in this eventuality, we will give a full refund but no compensation. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment, which we advise you about in our trip information.

10. HEALTH & PHYSICAL FITNESS:

Trips take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Evacuation, where necessary, can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be your responsibility. SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse a participant the right to participate in a tour on medical or fitness grounds.

11. TRIP LEADER:

SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION nominated trip leaders take their responsibilities seriously and if for any reason a nominated tour leader believes, in his or her absolute discretion, that you should not participate in the tour, before your departure, he/she may exclude you from the tour. In this event, you will be offered the option of taking another tour considered suitable for you or a full refund. If for any reason during a tour the nominated tour leader considers you should not participate further due to you committing an illegal act, or in the opinion of the nominated tour leader, your behaviour is causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others, or your fitness or health is inadequate, he or she may direct you not to continue and you must follow the nominated trip leader's instructions. In this case you will not be entitled to any refund.

12. JURISDICTION:

No employee, representative or agent of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION other than Company Head or Directors to vary these conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Nepal Government.

13. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT:

If you have a problem during your holiday, you must inform your trip leader who will endeavour to put things right.

14. PROMOTIONAL IMAGES:

Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our trips may be used by the company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the invented) for bona fide promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, website slides, video shows and the internet.
