Ecuador espíritu ciclista 8 días

Este día descubriremos la ciudad de Quito en bicicleta por las empinadas calles y los impresionantes monumentos que hay por toda la ciudad. Comenzaremos en la zona hotelera conocida como el punto turístico o Zona Mariscal. En cuanto entremos al casco antiguo verás los cambios en la Arquitectura de los Siglos 16 y 17 atrapados en el tiempo contrastando con el nuevo estilo de vida de la Ciudad.

Los lugares que visitaremos son los siguientes: Parque del Ejido, Edificio del Congreso Nacional, Parque de la Alameda, Plaza de Sucre, Plaza Mayor, Iglesia de la Compañía, Avenida García Moreno, Calle de la Ronda, Parque de la Ciudad de Cumandá, Santo Domingo, Iglesia Basílica. Después regresaremos al hotel para pasar la última noche de este tour.

Opcional podemos visitar el Teleférico conocido como el Teleférico de Quito (COSTO EXTRA POR FAVOR CONFIRMARLO CON EL OPERADOR DEL TOUR).

Early in the morning we will drive you to step each foot on the Equator Museum well known as INTIÑAN or the Trail of the Sun. After this visit, we will drive back to Quito center where we will start the biking tour down to Tandayapa valley.

The Starting of the Biking will be at Nono town located at 9000 ft and just 10 miles away from Quito center. The total distance on bike is 19 miles (3 hours approx.) mainly is downhill. The altitude at the end of the day will be 4260 ft.

On the way back we will stop in many places to admire the nature and the wonderful landscapes. We will also stop at the trout farm four a delicious lunch before and resting a little bet. Then we will continue down to Tandayapa valley where we will stay overnight in one of the best Bird Lodges of the area. 

This activity is being customized for guest who have a little experience on MTB tours, however if you don't have any record on bikes but you feel that you can do it, You are more than welcome to join us!!! We will always have our driver to assist us at any time of the journey.

Early in the morning before breakfast as an optional, you can walk through the gardens and spot a great number of hummingbirds flying around the vegetation, such a great starting of the day!

After breakfast we will continue by car towards Nanegal for our first hour on bike on a scenery road, then we will arrive at a little community called Playa Rica where we will rest trying local fruits, then we will continue cycling up and the downhill towards Garcia Moreno Road, before the end we will go across Guayllabamba river and the province border trough the magical cloud forest.

After this activity it is time to relax at the local hot springs well known as Nangulvi and finally we will enjoy the rest of the afternoon at the Hotel Gardens and views of the Western Andes.

In summary, this is a long day on a bike and it will be bringing you with a lot of adrenaline enjoying nature.... the total distance covered on bike is 38 miles and the altitude at the end of the day is 5000 ft.

Morning departure by car towards to Cuicocha lake , at the place you will pedal trough iconic trails and great views. There is a possibility to see the entire crater and cotacachi volcano. 

Then it is a dramatic descent passing by some indigenous villages on the way to the leather town (Cotacachi city). Finally to the hotel for overnight , if you prefer you can explore the town on your own since that is very attractive and safe to walk around.

Visitaremos el Mercado Indio más famoso de Ecuador, con más de 1000 años de historia. No será un día de ciclismo, sino de turismo para descubrir las maravillas del Norte de los Andes.

Empezaremos visitando el Mercado Artesanal donde podrás disfrutar de 1 hora de paseo por la pintoresca Plaza del Poncho, después visitaremos la cascada de Peguche y finalmente disfrutarás de la ciudad del cuero por tu cuenta. Tendremos una deliciosa barbacoa en la Casa de Huéspedes y quizás aprendamos a preparar una bebida de bienvenida típica de los Andes llamada Canelazo.

En este día pedalearemos a 12.000 pies, este va a ser el día más alto en altitud y muy exigente, sin embargo esto no es un problema después de unos días pedaleando en el tour.

Saldremos del hotel en dirección a Las Lagunas de Mojanda, desde allí empezaremos a pedalear, la mayor parte del recorrido será cuesta abajo. Recomendamos llevar al menos dos capas de ropa, ya que a esta altitud la temperatura ronda siempre los 42°F.

Pedalearemos por lugares únicos en la zona del Páramo o también conocida como los Pastizales Andinos y finalmente llegaremos al pueblo de Tabacundo situado mucho más abajo que el punto de partida, 27 millas más al sur de la zona de los lagos. Desde este lugar conduciremos 2 horas de vuelta al hotel de Quito para pasar la noche.
