LLEGADA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO

Arrive at Mexico City International Airport. Our representative will meet and greet you, and then you will be taken by shared transfer to the selected hotel. Have the rest of the day at leisure, taking advantage of the hotel facilities or exploring the beautiful surroundings. The itinerary order may change depending on the weekday of arrival (in order to make all activities). Overnight in Mexico City.

Día 2

VISITA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, MUSEO ANTROPOLÓGICO Y PLAZA GARIBALDI

After the tasty breakfast at the hotel, the guide will wait for you at the hotel to pick you up around 9 am to start with the visit of the historic center, the Zocalo (the main square of the city), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace , which features murals by the famous artist Diego Rivera. Then, we make a stop at the Anthropological Museum, a place that after almost half a century since its creation, remains the most emblematic area that safeguards the indigenous legacy of Mexico. After this 5-hour visit, return to the hotel or if you wish you can stay to explore the area on your own or enjoy lunch at the restaurant and return to the hotel on your own. In the evening at 7.30 pm you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the Bellini restaurant to enjoy a tasty dinner (a local drink included). This restaurant is the only revolving restaurant in Mexico City, which offers incredible panoramic views overlooking the flashing lights of the city and the traditional Mexican and international flavors. After dinner before we head back to the hotel, we will stop at Plaza Garibaldi, a nightlife center and a very popular place to enjoy the sights and sounds of Mariachis accompanied by traditional dances and delicious drinks (a traditional drink included). Día 3

CIUDAD DE MÉXICOXOCHIMILCO BARCO, COYOACÁN Y MUSEO FRIDA KAHLO

Disfruta de un recorrido de un día entero lleno de color y tradición por algunas de las zonas más encantadoras de Ciudad de México. De camino a Xochimilco, atravesaremos la 4ª calle más grande del mundo (Avenida de los Insurgentes - Récord Guinness Mundial) y admiraremos importantes puntos como la Plaza de Toros más grande de México y la más importante de América, la Universidad de México y el Estadio Olímpico de 1968, entre otros lugares importantes. Al llegar a las tranquilas aguas de los canales de Xochimilco y sus jardines flotantes, disfrutarás de un pintoresco crucero por uno de los últimos vestigios del periodo azteca en una trajinera tradicional o embarcación prehispánica. Te recomendamos que compres algunos aperitivos y bebidas antes de embarcar para que puedas disfrutar de un almuerzo mientras recorres los canales rodeados de jardines flotantes. Conoce la historia de este lugar declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, establecido por primera vez como ciudad precolombina a orillas del lago de Xochimilco, justo al sur de Ciudad de México. Puede que te sigan auténticos mariachis tocando algunas de las canciones más famosas de México (contratados para los visitantes). Después, disfruta de una breve visita a Coyoacán, conocido como el corazón cultural de Ciudad de México, un lugar que ha sido fuente de inspiración para diversos artistas nacionales e internacionales. Visitaremos la zona de casonas del siglo XVI y la Iglesia de San Bautista. En el mismo barrio visitaremos el Museo Frida Kahlo, conocido como "La Casa Azul", donde vivió la artista latinoamericana de fama mundial. Día 4

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO - TEOTIHUACÁN - CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (100 Km - 2 h)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up at the lobby at about 9.00 am. You will visit two impressive ceremonial centers, the Basilica of Guadalupe (contemporary) and Teotihuacan (pre-Hispanic), which describe the religious evolution of Mexican people. First transfer to the "Plaza de las Tres Culturas", the site where the largest market in pre-Columbian Mexico, Tlatelolco is located, where you will have a panoramic view of the esplanade and the archaeological zone. Continue to the Basilica of Guadalupe, the largest religious sanctuary in Mexico, which houses the most revered image in Mexico, that of the Virgin of Guadalupe. You will visit the atrium and its interior. Continue to Teotihuacan "place where the gods are made". With more than 2,500 years of history, this ceremonial center had a vital development, born in Textiles of natural fibers and Obsidian as a matter of Exchanges and tools. This will be explained in detail at a stop before entering the archeological zone. Enter the enigmatic archaeological zone visiting the temples of "Quetzalpapalotl" (butterfly bird), the "feathered snails" and the entire pyramid of the Moon. Continue to visit the Citadel and the Temple of Quetzalcoatl before the end of the visit with the impressive Pyramid of the Sun. Start your last day in Mexico City with a tasty breakfast at the hotel. Then, check out and transfer to Mexico City International Airport for your departure flight to Merida (flight not included). Upon arrival at Merida Airport, our representative will meet and greet you, and then transfer you to the selected hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, taking advantage of the hotel amenities or exploring the beautiful surroundings. Overnight in Merida

MERIDAMERCADO Y CLASE DE COCINA

Today after breakfast, meet your guide at approximately 8.30 am, to immerse yourself in the local culture with the cooking class! This Merida Market Tasting and Cooking Class tour will start with a visit to the local market. First, you’ll discover amazing traditional dishes. Furthermore, you’ll get to taste delicious local fruits. In addition, you’ll learn about the customs and traditions of Yucatan. After buying all your supplies, you’ll take an exciting bus ride to the local home. Finally, your host and guide will guide you step by step to cook a traditional menu. Return to your hotel at 2 pm. MERIDACENOTES DE CUZAMA

En este recorrido conoceremos tres de los cenotes más bellos de Yucatán que se encuentran en el "anillo de cenotes", una extraordinaria alineación semicircular de más de 100 cenotes que los especialistas relacionan con la teoría del impacto de un asteroide en la tierra, hace 65 millones de años; que además de modificar el curso de la vida en el planeta dejó un cráter de 180 kilómetros. En el mismo lugar de los hechos, hablaremos del suceso, del ecosistema y de la profunda relación que la civilización maya tuvo con los cenotes. Ven preparado para nadar y, si quieres, también hacer snorkel en las cristalinas y mágicas aguas de estas formaciones naturales únicas en el mundo. Tras la visita y el tiempo para nadar, tendremos tiempo para comer y después regresaremos a Mérida. Pasaremos la noche en Mérida

Día 8

MERIDAUXMAL

Empieza el día con un delicioso desayuno. Visitarás la zona arqueológica de Uxmal, una de las más destacadas de la Ruta Puuc. Al llegar a las pirámides, exploraremos el lugar y conoceremos los vestigios mayas y las interesantes construcciones llenas de gran riqueza e historia. Conocerás la historia de este sitio arqueológico de la cultura maya y también escucharás algunas leyendas mágicas sobre ese lugar destacando la pirámide del Adivino, el Cuadrángulo de las Monjas y el Palacio del Gobernador. A continuación, visitaremos el Museo del Chocolate, donde conocerás la historia del cacao desde sus orígenes, distribución y usos en todo el mundo hasta sus antiguas formas de elaboración mayas. Pasa la noche en Mérida.

Día 9

MÉRIDA - CHICHÉN ITZA - SALIDA CANCÚN O RIVIERA MAYA (315 km - 4 h)

Empieza el día con un sabroso desayuno en el hotel y prepárate para la recogida sobre las 8.45 h. Desde Mérida, nos dirigiremos a una de las Nuevas Siete Maravillas del Mundo: Chichén Itzá. Adéntrate en la selva tropical de la Península de Yucatán en busca de la legendaria ciudad maya de Chichén Itzá, que ha sido laboriosamente recuperada de la jungla. Aprende sobre los mayas y su civilización mientras admiras la escala y los detalles de esta antigua ciudad. Contempla la perfección geométrica del Templo de Kukulkán, de 25 metros de altura, conocido popularmente como El Castillo, que se construyó como representación del calendario místico maya y para reflejar la ilusión óptica de una serpiente que sube o baja de la pirámide durante los equinoccios de primavera y otoño. Admira el Gran Juego de Pelota, el mayor de los 13 descubiertos en el yacimiento, contempla la inquietante Plataforma Calavera, donde se empalaban las cabezas de las víctimas de sacrificios humanos y prisioneros de guerra, y también el Cenote Sagrado, donde se arrojaban las víctimas de los sacrificios. Visita el Templo de los Guerreros, muy bien conservado, el Osario, el Convento y la Iglesia adyacente, y el gran observatorio conocido como el Caracol. A continuación, disfruta del almuerzo en un restaurante local en los alrededores de Chichén Itzá, tras lo cual nos dirigiremos a Cancún o Riviera Maya, y te dejaremos en el hotel que hayas seleccionado (no incluido en este programa).
