El autobús de enlace Flybus te lleva del aeropuerto internacional de Keflavík a tu hotel en Reikiavik, donde pasarás la primera noche en Islandia. Tiempo libre para explorar la capital de Islandia por tu cuenta si el tiempo lo permite.

A las 09:00, reúnete con tu guía turístico, que mostrará al grupo el espíritu navideño de la capital y la península de Reykjanes, con sus aguas termales, montañas, paisaje lunar, acantilados con aves, faros y pueblos pesqueros. Al final del día, podremos remojarnos en las cálidas aguas azules de la famosa Laguna Azul. Nos alojamos dos noches en sencillas cabañas del sur de Islandia.
Por la noche celebramos la Navidad a la manera islandesa. Antes de cenar, nos unimos a una excursión guiada en autobús para visitar las luces navideñas de los pueblos de Hvolsvöllur y Hella. Las tradicionales luces de Navidad tienen su origen en la Edad Media, cuando la gente necesitaba mantener las luces en sus moradas durante el Solsticio de Invierno. En Islandia, la tradición hunde sus raíces en las creencias paganas de los antiguos nórdicos, cuando la gente mantenía vivo el fuego dentro del foso central de las casas largas vikingas para mantener fuera la oscuridad del Solsticio de Invierno.
Tu cena festiva de 4 platos comienza sobre las 19:30 y se sirve en el restaurante Árhús, a orillas del río en Hella, que es un pequeño pueblo del sur de Islandia. Brinda con vino espumoso mientras disfrutas de una celebración navideña realmente especial. Naturalmente, cuando caiga la noche, estarás en el jardín esperando la aurora boreal.

Hoy nos dirigimos a lo largo de la costa sur y llegamos a la zona cercana al volcán activo que está bajo el glaciar Eyjafjallajökull. Nos detenemos en la alta pero estrecha cascada de Seljalandsfoss, que se precipita desde la montaña. A continuación visitamos el museo folclórico de Skógar, que contiene una destacada colección de artefactos agrícolas y domésticos del pasado de Islandia y varias casas construidas con turba. Cerca se encuentra una de las cascadas más impresionantes del país, la de Skógafoss, de 60 metros de altura.
Por la tarde, la excursión continúa más al sur, donde pasearás por la famosa Playa de Lava Negra de Reynisfjara, observarás el Cabo de Dyrhólaey y los Acantilados Marinos de Reynisdrangar, antes de visitar el encantador pueblo de Vík.
Si la noche está despejada, puede que tengas la suerte de ver la Aurora Boreal arremolinándose en una danza salvaje y despreocupada por los cielos con formas, colores, patrones y tamaños espectaculares.

Por la mañana, aprende sobre el caballo islandés, sus cualidades especiales y su historia, y visita un invernadero geotérmico. Recorre la ruta del Círculo Dorado. Contempla el vapor que sale de los campos geotérmicos de Geysir al llegar. Hay una gran variedad de fuentes termales y piscinas burbujeantes. El géiser original está ahora inactivo, pero ha sido sustituido por Strokkur "la mantequera", que entra en erupción a intervalos de 5-10 minutos. Continúa hasta Gullfoss, una cascada doble que cae 34 metros en el río Hvítá y atrae a turistas y viajeros en verano e invierno. Adéntrate en el Parque Nacional de Þingvellir, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, antes de regresar a Reikiavik para pasar una noche.

Customized private tours (individuals and groups): Cancellation terms and fees will be stated in the individual price offer. General terms are: EUR 500 non-refundable deposit from moment of booking until 12 weeks prior to tour start, 10% cancellation fee for cancellations 9-12 weeks prior to tour start, 50% cancellation fee for cancellations 5-8 weeks prior to tour start and 100% cancellation fee for cancellations within 28 days prior to tour start or for no shows, and a tour begun but not completed.
Greenland tours:
A deposit of 60% of the tour package price is required to finalise a booking and issue the flight ticket. Unfortunately, we cannot block flight seats and hotel rooms in Greenland without a deposit. Full payment is due 8 weeks before the tour start.
Once the booking is confirmed and up to 8 weeks before departure: Cancellation and changes (of ANY kind) will cost 60% of the tour package price. 8 weeks before departure and until travel date: Cancellation and changes (of ANY kind) will cost 100% of the tour package price.
Trips to Greenland are always subject to weather, fog and ice conditions. Therefore the sequence of the day tours and excursions in Greenland is subject to change, or if needed, an alternative excursion will be operated if available. In addition, delays and flight cancellations between Iceland and Greenland can happen. Therefore we strongly recommend you buy travel insurance in the country of residence to cover any additional travel expenses should your flights be delayed or cancelled due to weather. We recommend not to book any international flight directly after a trip from Greenland. Ideally, stay a minimum of two nights in Iceland after the Greenland trip to avoid the risk of missing an international flight.
Complaints:
Every effort will be made to provide you with the best holiday possible. Should you, for any reason, not be satisfied with the services provided during your stay, please inform our tour guide or a member of our staff so that the situation can be rectified immediately. If you do not bring the complaint to our attention within 24 hours of the problem occurring and give us the opportunity to put things right, we will not be held responsible for the problem. Extra excursions taken during one of our tours will be the responsibility of that individual operator.
We strongly recommend that all travellers to Iceland have general travel insurance issued in their country of residence. This insurance should also cover all activities, i.e. horse riding, white river rafting, mountain biking etc. which are part of their tour. Your contract will be governed by Icelandic law, and any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of Iceland.

En la planta baja del hotel hay un restaurante y un bar. El hotel tiene una ubicación ideal para hacer turismo y algunas compras en el centro de la ciudad.
Hótel Klettur: El Klettur es nuestro alojamiento confortable en Reikiavik para este recorrido. El hotel ofrece habitaciones estándar de 18-24m2 con baño privado. En la planta baja del hotel hay un bar con una excelente selección de cervezas islandesas, cócteles y vino.
Hotel Stracta: Stracta es nuestro alojamiento económico y confortable en el campo. Stracta está situado en un pueblecito poco expuesto a las luces de la ciudad, lo que ofrece la posibilidad de ver la Aurora Boreal desde el jardín del hotel, o posiblemente desde tu ventana. Los viajeros que reserven la opción económica se alojarán en una habitación estándar de 18m2 con baño privado, y los que reserven la opción confortable se alojarán en habitaciones estudio de 24m2 con baño privado y una pequeña cocina adecuada para cocinar. En la planta baja del hotel hay un restaurante. Por las tardes puedes relajarte en los jacuzzis y la sauna situados en los jardines del hotel.
