El comienzo de la ascensión de 7 días al Kilimanjaro, A primera hora de la mañana saldrás camino de la puerta principal de Londorossi. Allí tendremos unos minutos de registro y también se realizarán otros trámites. Recogeremos a un guardabosques que nos acompañará durante el safari. El safari comenzará de camino a los claros de Lemosho. Aquí comenzaremos el trekking a través de la selva tropical perennifolia. Tardaremos unas 4 horas en llegar a nuestro primer campamento.
Itinerario
Los mejores recorridos de aventuras de senderismo en el monte Kilimanjaro de 7 días te ofrecen caminar despacio mientras atraviesas diferentes zonas climáticas de camino a la cumbre. Lemosho es la mejor ruta, muy recomendada por la mayoría de las empresas de viajes en tu viaje de escalada a este parque nacional del monte Kilimanjaro. Tiene una mayor tasa de éxito máximo para alcanzar la cumbre debido a su naturaleza de larga duración en la montaña.

Del campamento Big Tree (2780 m) al campamento Shira 2 (3900 m)
Hoy cubrirás mucho terreno mientras caminas por una meseta de páramos herbáceos y brezos salpicada de formaciones rocosas volcánicas. Caminaremos por el campamento Shira 1, desde donde a menudo hay vistas del pico Kibo flotando en las nubes mientras nos dirigimos a nuestro destino, que es el Shira 2.. Ganamos una cantidad razonable de altitud a medida que nos dirigimos hacia Shira 1 y algunas partes de la ruta son bastante empinadas. A medida que avanzamos hacia Shira 2, tendremos la oportunidad de contemplar los Campos de Hielo Norte desde el lado occidental de la montaña, con algunas vistas inusuales del Kibo. Nuestro ascenso constante por el páramo de la meseta de Shira nos ayudará a aclimatarnos y disfrutaremos de magníficas vistas panorámicas.
Del campamento Shira 2 (3900 m) al campamento Barranco (3960 m)
Tu excursión comienza con un ascenso con vistas panorámicas de gran alcance, adentrándote en la zona climática del desierto de las tierras altas y en las crestas de lava bajo los glaciares de la Brecha Occidental. Llegarás al distintivo pináculo de la Torre de Lava (4640 m), nuestro punto culminante del día y un lugar estupendo para disfrutar del almuerzo. Por la tarde haremos un descenso empinado hasta nuestro campamento para pasar la noche, situado en la base del Gran Valle del Barranco (3960 m), al abrigo de imponentes acantilados pero con amplias vistas de las llanuras de abajo.
Campamento de Barranco (3960 m) a Campamento de Karanga (3963 m)
Nuestro día comienza descendiendo hacia el inicio del Gran Barranco, un enorme barranco. Luego salimos empinadamente, subiendo por la Pared del Gran Barranco, que nos separa de las laderas sudorientales del Kibo. Es una subida sobre roca, no técnica pero larga y agotadora. Pasando por debajo de los glaciares Heim y Kersten, nos dirigimos hacia el valle de Karanga. Desde aquí tenemos una subida empinada desde el valle de Karanga hasta nuestro campamento nocturno en el campamento de Karanga, situado a 3963 m. Para los que se sientan fuertes, haremos una caminata de aclimatación a media tarde hasta unos 4200 m antes de descender de nuevo al campamento para pasar la noche.
Del campamento de Karanga (3963 m) al campamento de Barafu (4640 m)
Tras una buena noche de descanso y desayuno, emprendemos la marcha hacia el campamento de Barafu, a 4640 m. El ascenso nos llevará por desoladas laderas de pedregal sin vegetación alguna a nuestro alrededor. Es una dura y empinada caminata que se hace más difícil por la altitud. Al llegar al campamento comeremos y pasaremos la tarde descansando mientras nos preparamos para una larga noche y un largo día por delante. Es importante mantenerse hidratado y abrigado. Cenamos temprano e intentamos dormir un poco, ya que nos levantaremos entre las 11 y las 12 de la noche para iniciar el ascenso a la cumbre.
Del Campo de Barafu (4640 m) al PICO DE UHURU (5895 m) y descenso al Campo del Milenio (3790 m)
Empezamos hacia medianoche y ascendemos empinadamente hacia los glaciares de la cumbre. Escalaremos pedregales durante 4 ó 5 horas, pero ganaremos una altura increíble en una distancia corta. Las vistas son espectaculares. Deberíamos estar en el borde del cráter, en Stella Point (5739 m), cuando nos alcancen los primeros rayos del sol. Nos rodean espectaculares acantilados de hielo dentro del cráter y las vistas del escarpado pico Mawenzi y más allá son impresionantes. Otra hora de marcha nos lleva a la cumbre, el pico Uhuru (5895 m). Comenzamos el descenso volviendo a Stella Point y luego descendemos por la ladera de pedregal y la pista de vuelta al Campo de Barafu para desayunar, antes de dirigirnos finalmente al Campo del Milenio para un largo y bien merecido descanso.
De Campo del Milenio (3790 m) a Puerta de Mweka (1630 m)
Una suave caminata nos lleva a través de la selva tropical hasta la Puerta de Mweka, donde completamos las formalidades del parque y recibimos los certificados, ¡que podrás colgar con orgullo! A continuación nos recogen nuestros vehículos y regresamos al hotel de Moshi, donde podrás darte una ducha de bienvenida (¡y una cerveza fría o dos!) antes de nuestra gran celebración. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
THE BOOKING
- Bookings and subsequent contracts shall be deemed to have been concluded in Arusha, Tanzania, and shall be interpreted according to the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
- The Company reserves the right to decline any booking without outlining the reasons for it.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
- A 30% deposit is required to secure a booking. This deposit forms part of the payment for the trip and shall be offset to the total amount charged to the client/agent.
- If the full amount is not paid at least four (4) weeks prior to departure, the Company reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and the deposit shall be forfeited.
- Clients/Agents booking within four (4) weeks of tour departure are required to pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation.
- All bank charges are to be settled by the client or agent respectively. This includes transaction fees charged by our bank.
- The amount shown on the invoice is the amount that needs to reflect in our account and should bank charges have been deducted, we would have to invoice you subsequently.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS
- For amendments of existing bookings done by the client/ agent (e.g. departure dates, air tickets, accommodation, number of participants etc) a handling fee of 50 USD per booking applies. The handling fee will be charged in addition to the service provider fees.
CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellations must be sent in writing to the office that confirmed the reservation. Cancellations shall only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office. In case of a booking cancellation, the Company shall retain the full deposit.
- If a booking is cancelled the client is subject to a cancellation fee as follows:
Until 28 days prior to departure – 30% Cancellation Fee
From 27 to 14 days prior to departure – 50% Cancellation Fee
From 13 to 7 days prior to departure – 75% Cancellation Fee
Less than 6 days prior to departure – 100% Cancellation Fee
- The Company reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notification in instances where this is unavoidable. However, in that case the Company agrees to refund all monies already paid by the client. This shall be the Company’s sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall accrue against the company.
PASSPORTS, VISAS AND OTHER TRAVEL PAPERS
- It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccinations and any other documentation required are all in order for the countries to be visited.
- The Company cannot be held liable for any consequences, damages or claims if the client does not attend correctly to the client’s documentation and related matters prior to commencement of the tour.
BAGGAGE
- At any time, all baggage and personal effects are at the client’s responsibility and the Company does not accept any liability for any loss or damage of any personal effects, howsoever arising.
- Clients are entitled to one bag of not more than 15 kg (backpack or soft bag – no hardtop suitcase) and a daypack. The Company reserves the right to refuse excess baggage. Please notice that on our tours and on some “bush” flights other baggage regulations may apply.
RISK
- The client accepts that all tours are of an adventurous nature and involve an element of personal risk. Neither the Company nor any of its agents can be held liable in any way for any injury, loss of life or damage to property, howsoever caused. The client hereby indemnifies the Company and will hold the Company, its agent, assigns and servants harmless from any such claim.
- The client accepts full responsibility for all risks involved.
AUTHORITY ON TOUR
- The decisions of the Company’s guide/driver on tour shall at all times be final and binding.
- The client must at all times comply with the laws, customs and foreign exchange regulations of all countries visited.
MARKETING
- The Company reserves the right to use any photographs and videos taken during tours for marketing or any other advertising material. The client hereby gives consent to use such photographs and authorizes the Company to retain copyright for these photographs and such material.
FORCE MAJEURE
- Unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to war, mechanical breakdowns, weather, riots and other unforeseen reasons beyond the control of the Company may cause delays or alterations to the tour. The Company shall not be held liable in any way for any of these possible occurrences or any consequences, which may arise as a result of these.
PRICE CHANGES
- All our prices are based on the current national park fees and taxes. There have been ongoing talks that East African countries will be undergoing changes to tax regulations in 2016. Should the authorities decide on increasing fees and taxes, even though they might currently not be scheduled, we would subsequently have to pass on these increases.
