A las 09:00, reúnete con nuestro guía turístico y sal de Reikiavik Natura Berjaya Iceland Hotels. Viaja hacia el oeste hasta la ciudad de Borgarnes. Haz una excursión fácil por el cráter del volcán Grábrók, en medio de un campo de lava verdosa. Más al norte, visita Glaumbær, una de las granjas con casas de césped y museos folclóricos más bonitas de Islandia. Continúa por el pintoresco paisaje de los fiordos y por varios puertos de montaña hasta llegar a Akureyri, la capital del norte de Islandia. Por la tarde, viaja a Goðafoss, las cataratas de los dioses. Luego explora el lago Mývatn, conocido como un paraíso geológico y por su abundante avifauna. Contempla las extrañas formaciones de lava de Kálfaströnd, los pseudocráteres de Skútustaðir y el cono de tefra Hverfjall. Por último, termina la tarde relajándote en los Baños Naturales geotérmicos de Mývatn, con una fantástica vista de toda la zona.

Por la mañana, camina por el laberinto de lava de Dimmuborgir, "los castillos oscuros", con la esperanza de vislumbrar a los trolls que se dice que viven allí. Por la tarde, visita la zona termal de Námaskarð, con piscinas de barro burbujeante y solfataras humeantes. Dirígete a través de las tierras altas deshabitadas y los alrededores lunares hacia el este de Islandia. De junio a agosto, la excursión incluye un desvío a la poderosa cascada Dettifoss.

Viaja por la parte sur del glaciar Vatnajökull y echa un vistazo al segundo parque nacional más grande de Europa, que cuenta con las montañas más altas de Islandia, un entorno alpino y el glaciar más grande de Europa.
Por la tarde, nos espera un hermoso viaje en coche con muchas maravillas naturales, mientras atravesamos el campo de lava de Eldhraun, cruzamos el desierto arenoso de la costa sur, dominado por acantilados montañosos, glaciares y cascadas. Experimenta el espectáculo único de lava islandesa, ¡donde podrás presenciar y sentir el calor de la lava fundida! Pasea por la playa de lava negra de Reynisfjara, cerca de Vík. En el pequeño pueblo de Skógar está la cascada de Skógafoss, de 60 metros de altura, una de las más impresionantes del país. Continúa hasta la alta pero estrecha cascada de Seljalandsfoss, que se precipita sobre la montaña. Un emocionante sendero pasa por detrás de la cascada, ¡si estás dispuesto a mojarte!

Explora hoy los lugares clásicos mientras recorremos la ruta de los monumentos del Círculo Dorado. Empieza el día en Friðheimar, donde aprenderás sobre el caballo islandés, sus cualidades únicas y su historia, y visitarás un invernadero geotérmico. Más tarde, contempla el vapor de los campos geotérmicos de Geysir mientras llegamos. Hay una gran variedad de fuentes termales y piscinas burbujeantes. El géiser original está ahora inactivo, pero ha sido sustituido por Strokkur, "la mantequera", que entra en erupción a intervalos de 5-7 minutos. Continúa hasta Gullfoss, "las cataratas doradas", una cascada doble que cae 32 metros en el río Hvítá y atrae a los viajeros en verano e invierno. Viaja tierra adentro hasta el Parque Nacional de Thingvellir, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Customized private tours (individuals and groups): Cancellation terms and fees will be stated in the individual price offer. General terms are: EUR 500 non-refundable deposit from moment of booking until 12 weeks prior to tour start, 10% cancellation fee for cancellations 9-12 weeks prior to tour start, 50% cancellation fee for cancellations 5-8 weeks prior to tour start and 100% cancellation fee for cancellations within 28 days prior to tour start or for no shows, and a tour begun but not completed.
Greenland tours:
A deposit of 60% of the tour package price is required to finalise a booking and issue the flight ticket. Unfortunately, we cannot block flight seats and hotel rooms in Greenland without a deposit. Full payment is due 8 weeks before the tour start.
Once the booking is confirmed and up to 8 weeks before departure: Cancellation and changes (of ANY kind) will cost 60% of the tour package price. 8 weeks before departure and until travel date: Cancellation and changes (of ANY kind) will cost 100% of the tour package price.
Trips to Greenland are always subject to weather, fog and ice conditions. Therefore the sequence of the day tours and excursions in Greenland is subject to change, or if needed, an alternative excursion will be operated if available. In addition, delays and flight cancellations between Iceland and Greenland can happen. Therefore we strongly recommend you buy travel insurance in the country of residence to cover any additional travel expenses should your flights be delayed or cancelled due to weather. We recommend not to book any international flight directly after a trip from Greenland. Ideally, stay a minimum of two nights in Iceland after the Greenland trip to avoid the risk of missing an international flight.
Complaints:
Every effort will be made to provide you with the best holiday possible. Should you, for any reason, not be satisfied with the services provided during your stay, please inform our tour guide or a member of our staff so that the situation can be rectified immediately. If you do not bring the complaint to our attention within 24 hours of the problem occurring and give us the opportunity to put things right, we will not be held responsible for the problem. Guðmundur Jónasson Travel cannot take responsibility for defaults or delays caused by contracting parties. We reserve the right to change routes, itineraries or timetables without prior notice should road, weather conditions or operational situations so dictate. Some tours may also be operated in reverse. Guðmundur Jónasson Travel can not accept responsibility for arrangements other than those paid for in advance as part of a Guðmundur Jónasson Tour. Extra excursions taken during one of our tours will be the responsibility of that individual operator.
We strongly recommend that all travellers to Iceland have general travel insurance issued in their country of residence. This insurance should also cover all activities, i.e. horse riding, white river rafting, mountain biking etc. which are part of their tour. Your contract will be governed by Icelandic law, and any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of Iceland.
