Itinerario

Únete a la expedición de trekking de Serene a la región de Mustang, que incluye el desfiladero más profundo del mundo del río Kali Gandaki, el Trekking Jomsom Muktinath, a una altitud máxima de 3800 m (12.464 pies).


Continuando por el desfiladero del río Kali Gandaki, maravíllate ante los espléndidos picos del Annapurna-I y el Dhaulagiri, que alcanzan alturas superiores a los 8000 m (26.240 pies).


Explora los monasterios centenarios, las cuevas, las tribus locales y las bellezas escénicas de los distintos paisajes.


Las mejores estaciones para hacer este trekking son la primavera (de marzo a mayo) y el otoño (de mediados de septiembre a mediados de diciembre). Durante estas estaciones te recompensará el buen tiempo, soleado y cálido, con cielo despejado y vistas excepcionales.


Puedes hacer la ruta en invierno (diciembre, enero y febrero), pero el frío y las nevadas en las zonas más elevadas pueden causar retrasos.

Día 1

Día de llegada a Katmandú [1.300 m/4.264 pies].

Día 2

Lugares de interés en Katmandú

Salimos por la mañana hacia el templo de Pashupatinath, un famoso templo hindú del siglo V dedicado al Señor Shiva situado a orillas del río Bagmati.


A continuación, recorreremos Boudhanath, una de las estupas budistas más sagradas y grandes del sur de Asia, construida en la antigua ruta comercial hacia el Tíbet.


Visitaremos la plaza Patan Darbar, que cuenta con edificios patrimoniales que representan los cuatro reinos (Kantipur, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kirtipur) de Nepal, incluidos en la lista del Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO.


A continuación visitaremos Bhaktapur, una antigua ciudad newar situada en el extremo oriental del valle de Katmandú, con los patios palaciegos mejor conservados de Nepal, y que la UNESCO ha declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por su riqueza cultural, sus templos y sus obras de arte en madera, metal y piedra.


Las estructuras más destacadas son el templo de Nyata-Pola, una pagoda de 5 pisos erigida por el rey nepalí Bhupatindra Malla durante un periodo de 5 meses, entre finales de 1701 y 1702,


la mundialmente famosa Puerta Dorada, citada como "la obra de arte más hermosa de todo el Reino.


Está colocada como una joya, destellando innumerables facetas en el bello marco de su entorno", y el Palacio de las 55 Ventanas, que tiene un balcón de cincuenta y cinco ventanas,


considerado una obra maestra única del tallado en madera, construido durante el reinado del rey Yaksha Malla en 1427 d.C. Pasa la noche en Katmandú.

Día 3

Vuelo a Pokhara [823 m/2.700 pies] y Trekking a Tikhedhunga [1.552 m/5.090 pies]: 4-5 h

Tomamos un vuelo a Pokhara; el lado derecho del avión te ofrecerá las mejores vistas del Himalaya.


Los representantes de Serene Himalaya te recogerán en el aeropuerto de Pokhara. Pokhara, la segunda ciudad más grande de Nepal, situada a 200 km al oeste de Katmandú,


también conocida como La Ciudad de los Lagos debido al gran número de lagos que hay en la ciudad.


Ofrece vistas espectaculares del Himalaya, como el Dhaulagiri (8.167 m/26.794 pies), el Manaslu (8.156 m/26.759 pies), el Machhapuchhre (6.993 m/22.943 pies), los cinco picos del Annapurna y otros.


Conducimos 1 hora y 20 minutos hasta Nayapul, y caminamos hasta el lado norte del Burundi Khola, a través de bosques subtropicales, y a veces por el sendero tallado en el lado del acantilado.


Cruzamos el río Modi Khola por un puente colgante hasta la aldea de Tikhedhunga.

Día 4

De Tikhedhunga a Ghorepani [2.750 m/9.020 pies]: 6-7 h

Desde Tikhedhunga descendemos y cruzamos el río Burundi Khola.


Desde allí nos enfrentamos a miles de escalones y peñascos hasta la colina de Ulleri y seguimos subiendo hasta el pueblo de Ghorepani por escaleras de piedra, mientras admiramos la espectacular vista del Annapurna Sur.


Atraviesa cascadas, pequeñas aldeas y varias casas de té antes de llegar a Ghorepani, que ofrece vistas panorámicas de las montañas circundantes, incluidos el Annapurna Sur y los montes Nilgiri.


Pasa la noche en Ghorepani.

Día 5

De Ghorepani a Tatopani [1.190 m/3.904 pies]: 5-6 h

El pueblo de Ghorepani tiene dos partes: una en una silla de montar y otra unos cientos de metros más abajo. Nos detenemos en la parte más alta del pueblo de Ghorepani


que ofrece vistas panorámicas de las montañas circundantes, incluidos los montes Annapurna Sur y Nilgiri.


De camino a Tatopani, descendemos empinadamente hasta Sikha, un pueblo grande, y luego bajamos más hasta el pueblo de Ghar Khola.


Tras cruzar un puente colgante, subimos hasta Tatopani. Pasaremos la noche en Tatopani.

Día 6

De Tatopani a Ghasa [2.110 m]: 5-6 h

El sendero sigue ahora el río Kali Gandaki, que fluye bajo un profundo desfiladero a 2200 m, entre dos cimas de 8000 m separadas por sólo 38 km.


Continuamos hacia Dana, la hermosa cascada de Rupse Chahara y Kopchepani,


el sendero sigue ascendiendo hasta el pueblo Thakali de Ghasa, un paraíso para los observadores de aves. Pasaremos la noche en Ghasa.

Día 7

De Ghasa a Marpha [2.680 m/8.792 pies]: 4-5 horas

Hacemos una subida empinada a través de bosques hasta Lete Khola y luego Lete, y más al este del Kaligandaki, llegando a la aldea de Larjung.


Desde Larjung, cruzamos el sendero por Tukche a 2590 m y granjas de manzanas que producen manzanas y verduras para toda la región, hasta llegar a la aldea de Marpha. Pasaremos la noche en Marpha.

Día 8

De Marpha a Kagbeni [2.810/9.218 pies]: 4-5 h

Continuamos por el valle, ascendiendo gradualmente antes de cruzar una cresta baja hasta el pueblo de Jomsom. Cruzamos el Panga Khola para llegar a Ekle Bhatti, que significa taberna solitaria.


Desde Jomsom, continuamos por un camino gradual sobre el lecho del río Kali Gandaki durante unas 3 h hasta el pueblo de Ekley-Bhatti.


Tras una buena parada, caminaremos durante una hora hasta Kagbeni, un interesante pueblo azotado por el viento situado en la antigua ruta comercial de la sal trans himalaya hacia el Tíbet a través de la zona del Alto Mustang, que se encuentra a orillas de dos ríos.


Pasaremos la noche en Kagbeni.

Día 9

De Kagbeni a Muktinath [3.710 m/12.170 pies]: 5-6 h

Nuestro viaje comienza con un control especial de permisos y seguimos hacia la orilla del río Kaligandaki, río arriba. Durante la caminata nos detendremos en lugares pintorescos.


Desde Kagbeni, el camino asciende abruptamente para volver a unirse al sendero directo que lleva a Khingar, a 3200 m. El sendero asciende a través de un paisaje desértico hasta el pueblo de Jarkot.


Una subida más nos lleva a Muktinath.


Pasaremos la noche en Muktinath.

Día 10

De Muktinath a Jomsom [2.715 m/8.910 pies]: 5-6 h

Muktinath es uno de los destinos más sagrados para hinduistas y budistas. Visitaremos el templo de Muktinath del Señor Vishnu. Para los hindúes, la región es un "Muktikhsetra" o la región de la liberación o la salvación.


Hay surtidores de agua canalizados por el arroyo que corre por encima del templo. También hay cerca un monasterio budista.


Disfruta también de las magníficas vistas del pico Dhaulagiri desde Muktinath.


Desde Muktinath, continuamos de vuelta a Jomsom. Pasaremos la noche en Jomsom.

Día 11

De Jomsom a Pokhara en avión

Representantes de Serene of Himalaya te trasladarán al aeropuerto para un vuelo de 30 minutos a Pokhara, con vistas a las dos enormes montañas, el Annapurna y el Dhaulagiri.


En Pokhara, recorreremos la ciudad; la Cascada Davis es una cascada única que desemboca directamente en un canal estrecho y profundo, La Cueva de Shiva alberga un santuario dedicado al Señor Shiva.


También daremos un paseo en barca por el lago Phewa, el mayor de Pokhara, y visitaremos el templo Bindyabasini, situado en el centro del lago.


Desde el lago, y posiblemente incluso desde la cama de tu hotel, podrás disfrutar de una vista despejada de las montañas nevadas, a unos veinte kilómetros de distancia.


Después visitaremos el famoso Museo Internacional de la Montaña (IMM), que registra, documenta y relata el desarrollo pasado y presente de las actividades montañeras en el mundo y en el Himalaya en particular. Pasaremos la noche en Pokhara.

Día 12

Viaje a Katmandú

Recorremos 200 kilómetros en coche de vuelta a Katmandú, mientras disfrutamos del maravilloso paisaje.

En Katmandú, puedes pasar el día explorando más de Katmandú, comprando recuerdos, preciosas pashminas o intrincadas obras de arte.

Por la noche habrá una cena de despedida para celebrar el éxito de tu viaje. Pasa la noche en Katmandú.

Salida final

Terms and Condition

1. HOW TO BOOK:

Your contract will be with Serene Himalaya Treks and expedition. To book any of our trips, please send the completed booking form along with the copy of your passport and 20% of the total amount as a non refundable booking deposit per person per trip.

2. PAYMENT:

The balance of the trip price is payable on your arrival in Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan/India. If final payment is not received 2 days after your arrival, cancellation conditions will apply as per the clause below. Final trip documentation will be released upon full trip payment.

3. TRIP AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS:

AMENDMENT: If you wish to make amendments to your trip arrangements, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Each amendment to your trip arrangements will incur a $30 administration fee and you will be liable for any increase in airfares or operational expenses occasioned by the amendment.

TRANSFER: If you wish to transfer from one tour to another, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Once SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION receives your notice the transfer will take effect and the following transfer charges will apply:

If your notice is received more than 60 days prior to your original departure date, a $100 transfer fee will apply. In addition, any increase in airfares or operational services will be payable by you: or

If your notice is received within 60 days prior to your original departure date, charges will be as per cancellation clause.

It may not be possible to make any transfers of the bookings within 10 days of departure. Fees for the late changes will vary from a minimum of USD 50 and above per booking, if the changes can be made.

4. CANCELLATIONS:

If you wish to cancel your tour, you must notify Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

in writing. Once Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

No refunds are made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip starts and refunds will be at the discretion of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason. No refunds will be made for accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or any services not used

5. CANCELLATION DUE TO TRIP BOOKING NUMBERS:

Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

reserves the right to cancel any trip before it is guaranteed to run. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise. In this case you are entitled to take an alternative trip of the same value without charge or you will be given a full refund of the trip price paid by you. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damage or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise.

6. ROUTE CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION OR DELAY:

SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right to change the route, postpone, cancel or delay the trip due to reasons beyond its control such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, wars, riots, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions etc. In this case SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION will refund the trip price only.

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

7. INSURANCE:

It is a condition of booking a trip with SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION. Your insurance must include cover for; medical expenses, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items and cancellation and curtailment, cost of repatriation and evacuation via whatever means necessary including by helicopter/air ambulance. If, in the event of an emergency medical rescue or evacuation from a trip of you the client, either by foot, helicopter or otherwise the responsibility for the payment of such costs will lie with the client. Any subsequent costs incurred for expenses such as hotels, food, transport etc shall be borne by the client. You must ensure that your insurance covers all of the activities you expect to participate in your trip. You must provide evidence to SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION upon your arrival. If you cannot provide the evidence of insurance you will be required to take out a suitable policy at that time. If you are not insured for any reason, you will not be allowed to continue with your trip and will not be entitled to any refund for services not provided.

8. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. In some cases, full and correct passport information is required when a booking is submitted to us in order that we can obtain necessary tickets, permits and visas on your behalf. If you do not supply the appropriate and correct information when you make your booking, we will not be able to make the necessary bookings on your behalf and cannot be held responsible.

9. RESPONSIBILITY:

Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise and accept the risks and hazards potentially involved in adventure holidays and that you are mentally and physically capable of undertaking your chosen trip. You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition or disability that might affect your holiday or other group members enjoyment of it, before you book your holiday. If, in our reasonable opinion, your chosen holiday is not suitable for your medical condition or disability we reserve the right to refuse your booking. We reserve the right to cancel the contract if medical problems are discovered and, in this eventuality, we will give a full refund but no compensation. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment, which we advise you about in our trip information.

10. HEALTH & PHYSICAL FITNESS:

Trips take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Evacuation, where necessary, can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be your responsibility. SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse a participant the right to participate in a tour on medical or fitness grounds.

11. TRIP LEADER:

SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION nominated trip leaders take their responsibilities seriously and if for any reason a nominated tour leader believes, in his or her absolute discretion, that you should not participate in the tour, before your departure, he/she may exclude you from the tour. In this event, you will be offered the option of taking another tour considered suitable for you or a full refund. If for any reason during a tour the nominated tour leader considers you should not participate further due to you committing an illegal act, or in the opinion of the nominated tour leader, your behaviour is causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others, or your fitness or health is inadequate, he or she may direct you not to continue and you must follow the nominated trip leader's instructions. In this case you will not be entitled to any refund.

12. JURISDICTION:

No employee, representative or agent of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION other than Company Head or Directors to vary these conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Nepal Government.

13. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT:

If you have a problem during your holiday, you must inform your trip leader who will endeavour to put things right.

14. PROMOTIONAL IMAGES:

Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our trips may be used by the company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the invented) for bona fide promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, website slides, video shows and the internet.
