Itinerario

Bután es el secreto mejor guardado de la industria turística. Debido a su relativo aislamiento, el país no fue conocido por el mundo exterior hasta 1960. Ahora, Bután es uno de los mejores destinos turísticos del sur de Asia.

Tierra de cultura vibrante y ortodoxa, a menudo se hace referencia a Bután como el "museo viviente" del mundo. Bután alberga muchas especies en peligro de extinción, debido principalmente a sus bosques intactos y al hecho de que este pequeño país se extiende desde las zonas subtropicales del sur hasta las regiones perennemente heladas del Himalaya en el norte.

Tiene 770 especies de aves (15 amenazadas a nivel mundial), 165 de mamíferos (entre ellas 24 especies de animales salvajes protegidas internacionalmente) y 5500 especies de plantas vasculares (entre ellas 152 plantas medicinales).

El trekking de Punakha atraviesa diversos paisajes y espesos bosques, y podemos disfrutar de bellezas paisajísticas de bosques de pinos, arrozales y rododendros en flor en casi todas partes.

Día 1

Llegada a Paro

Cuando llegues al aeropuerto de Paro, serás recibido por nuestro representante y guía butanés, que te acompañará al hotel tras los trámites aduaneros en el aeropuerto de Paro. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 2

Lugares de interés en Paro

Empezamos a caminar hacia el monasterio de Taktsang (Nido del Tigre). La subida hasta el mirador nos llevará unas 3 horas. Podremos disfrutar de la impresionante vista del monasterio donde Guru Padmasambava aterrizó a lomos de una tigresa en el siglo VIII, y meditó durante tres meses. El monasterio se construyó posteriormente en este lugar sagrado en 1684, el cuarto gobernante temporal de Bután. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 3

Viaje a Thimpu

Salimos temprano hacia Thimpu, la capital de Bután, visitando en ruta la antigua fortaleza de Simtokha Dzong. Lo más fascinante de Thimpu es que se encuentra entre las dos capitales nacionales de Asia que no tienen semáforos. Thimpu ofrece la mejor oportunidad para hacer nuestras propias cosas. Es relajada, amistosa y bastante informal, y resulta más gratificante si nosotros podemos ser igual. Hay unas dos horas en coche de Paro a Thimpu. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 4

Caminata a Shong Pang

A partir de aquí, comienza el trekking. Subimos por el valle hacia el norte, en dirección al palacio de Dechencholing (residencia de la reina madre), siguiendo la carretera de Thimphu. El trayecto nos llevará hasta Pangrizam, el último punto motorizado. Desde aquí, comienza el trekking hacia Shong Pang, que dura unas 4/5 horas a través de aldeas. El campamento estará justo encima del pueblo de Chamina. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 5

Trekking a Dopshing Pang

El sendero asciende gradualmente hasta llegar al paso de Sinchula. Desde este punto, si el tiempo está despejado, podemos ver el Monasterio de Phajodhing, que está justo encima de Thimphu. Tras caminar 2 km, podemos ver el pueblo de Thinly Gang, el monasterio de Talo y la autopista hacia la antigua capital de Bután. La caminata desde el paso es más o menos cuesta abajo hasta llegar al campamento. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 6

Senderismo a Chorten Ningpo

La caminata hasta Chorten Ningpo es bastante gradual y atravesarás espesos bosques, pueblos y arrozales. Es el país menos deforestado del mundo. Más del 70% de Bután está cubierto de bosques vírgenes de pino azul. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 7

Trekking a Zomlingthang

La caminata dura unas 2-3 horas a través de varias aldeas hasta que llegamos a una carretera de motor. Desde la carretera, seguimos el camino hacia Punakha, que es la antigua capital de Bután. El Punakha Dzong "Palacio de la Gran Felicidad" es la antigua capital de invierno y en la actualidad alberga la sede administrativa del distrito. También es la residencia de invierno del cuerpo monástico central y de su Abad Principal. El Dzong se encuentra entre dos ríos, el Pochu y el Mochu, masculino y femenino. Su ubicación es estratégica. Se construyó en 1637 d.C. Fue aquí donde, el 17 de diciembre de 1907, se coronó al primer rey de Bután. Continuamos nuestro camino hasta llegar a Zomlingthang para pasar la noche. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 8

Senderismo a Limukha

Saldremos hacia Limukha después del desayuno mientras seguimos la carretera motorizada hacia Punakha Dzong y luego cruzamos el río Pochu (río Male), el río que drena la remota región de Lunana. Tendremos una subida constante de medio día por un bosque de chirpinos de agujas largas dispersos. A medida que avancemos, tendremos unas vistas maravillosas del valle de Punakha y del Dzong. Si el tiempo está despejado, podremos ver algunas montañas nevadas al norte. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 9

Caminata y viaje a Chungsaka/Wangdiphodrang

Después del desayuno, sal de Limukha hacia Chungsaka/Wangdiphodrang. El sendero asciende gradualmente a través del espeso bosque de especies de robles y rododendros hasta llegar a un paso llamado Dochula (10.500 pies). Las banderas de oración lanzan plegarias al viento. Podemos disfrutar de unas vistas espectaculares de las montañas del Himalaya Oriental en Bután. Sólo de rododendros hay más de 50 especies, por no hablar de las hermosas orquídeas silvestres, las plantas tropicales y de altura, y la flor nacional, la Amapola Azul. Luego descendemos por el espeso bosque que conduce a un pequeño monasterio dedicado a un lama llamado Drukpa Kuenly ( conocido popularmente como el Loco Divino). Podemos contemplar el valle hasta Samtengang desde Chungsakha, en la cresta situada al sur. Después bajamos por la colina hasta encontrarnos con la carretera y conducimos durante media hora hasta Wangdiphodrang. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 10

Viaje a Thimphu

Conduciremos hacia el oeste hasta Thimphu. De camino nos detendremos en el Dzong de Punakha para recorrerlo y maravillarnos con su arquitectura y sus antiguos frescos murales y su ornamentada estructura. Seguiremos conduciendo por el paso de Dochula y nos detendremos para hacer un breve descanso. Finalmente, bajamos hasta Thimphu. Pasaremos la noche en un hotel. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 11

Viaje a Paro

Nuestro viaje a Bután casi finaliza aquí, así que nos dirigimos a Paro a través de una carretera sinuosa que desciende siguiendo el río Wangchuk que llega hasta la confluencia (Chu- Zom). Significa el encuentro de dos ríos Wangchuk y Pa- Chu desde Paro. Este punto es para controlar el paso de vehículos e inmigraciones. En la confluencia de estos dos ríos, seremos testigos de los tres tipos diferentes de Chorten: Estilo tibetano, butanés y nepalí. Cruzaremos este puente y giraremos a la derecha hacia Paro. Comidas: Desayuno, Comida, Cena



Día 12

Vuelo a Katmandú

Después del desayuno, nos trasladarán al aeropuerto para tomar el vuelo de regreso a Katmandú desde el aeropuerto de Paro. Este día puedes aprovecharlo para comprar regalos y recuerdos para amigos y familiares. Por la noche se te invitará a unirte a la DESPEDIDA repasando grandes fotos y compartiendo experiencias del viaje. Comidas: Desayuno, Cena de Despedida

Terms and Condition

1. HOW TO BOOK:

Your contract will be with Serene Himalaya Treks and expedition. To book any of our trips, please send the completed booking form along with the copy of your passport and 20% of the total amount as a non refundable booking deposit per person per trip.

2. PAYMENT:

The balance of the trip price is payable on your arrival in Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan/India. If final payment is not received 2 days after your arrival, cancellation conditions will apply as per the clause below. Final trip documentation will be released upon full trip payment.

3. TRIP AMENDMENTS/TRANSFERS:

AMENDMENT: If you wish to make amendments to your trip arrangements, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Each amendment to your trip arrangements will incur a $30 administration fee and you will be liable for any increase in airfares or operational expenses occasioned by the amendment.

TRANSFER: If you wish to transfer from one tour to another, you must notify SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION in writing. Once SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION receives your notice the transfer will take effect and the following transfer charges will apply:

If your notice is received more than 60 days prior to your original departure date, a $100 transfer fee will apply. In addition, any increase in airfares or operational services will be payable by you: or

If your notice is received within 60 days prior to your original departure date, charges will be as per cancellation clause.

It may not be possible to make any transfers of the bookings within 10 days of departure. Fees for the late changes will vary from a minimum of USD 50 and above per booking, if the changes can be made.

4. CANCELLATIONS:

If you wish to cancel your tour, you must notify Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

in writing. Once Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

receives your notice, cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

No refunds are made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip starts and refunds will be at the discretion of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason. No refunds will be made for accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or any services not used

5. CANCELLATION DUE TO TRIP BOOKING NUMBERS:

Serene Himalaya Treks and Expedition

reserves the right to cancel any trip before it is guaranteed to run. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise. In this case you are entitled to take an alternative trip of the same value without charge or you will be given a full refund of the trip price paid by you. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damage or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation. A trip is guaranteed to run once it has two fully paid travelers, unless minimum number stated otherwise.

6. ROUTE CHANGES, POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION OR DELAY:

SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right to change the route, postpone, cancel or delay the trip due to reasons beyond its control such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, wars, riots, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions etc. In this case SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION will refund the trip price only.

If cancellation takes place more than 60 days prior to your departure date, your full deposit will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place between 60 and 7 days prior to your departure date, 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 7 days prior to your departure date, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.

7. INSURANCE:

It is a condition of booking a trip with SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION. Your insurance must include cover for; medical expenses, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items and cancellation and curtailment, cost of repatriation and evacuation via whatever means necessary including by helicopter/air ambulance. If, in the event of an emergency medical rescue or evacuation from a trip of you the client, either by foot, helicopter or otherwise the responsibility for the payment of such costs will lie with the client. Any subsequent costs incurred for expenses such as hotels, food, transport etc shall be borne by the client. You must ensure that your insurance covers all of the activities you expect to participate in your trip. You must provide evidence to SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION upon your arrival. If you cannot provide the evidence of insurance you will be required to take out a suitable policy at that time. If you are not insured for any reason, you will not be allowed to continue with your trip and will not be entitled to any refund for services not provided.

8. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. Please ensure your passport is valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. In some cases, full and correct passport information is required when a booking is submitted to us in order that we can obtain necessary tickets, permits and visas on your behalf. If you do not supply the appropriate and correct information when you make your booking, we will not be able to make the necessary bookings on your behalf and cannot be held responsible.

9. RESPONSIBILITY:

Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realise and accept the risks and hazards potentially involved in adventure holidays and that you are mentally and physically capable of undertaking your chosen trip. You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition or disability that might affect your holiday or other group members enjoyment of it, before you book your holiday. If, in our reasonable opinion, your chosen holiday is not suitable for your medical condition or disability we reserve the right to refuse your booking. We reserve the right to cancel the contract if medical problems are discovered and, in this eventuality, we will give a full refund but no compensation. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment, which we advise you about in our trip information.

10. HEALTH & PHYSICAL FITNESS:

Trips take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Evacuation, where necessary, can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be your responsibility. SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse a participant the right to participate in a tour on medical or fitness grounds.

11. TRIP LEADER:

SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION nominated trip leaders take their responsibilities seriously and if for any reason a nominated tour leader believes, in his or her absolute discretion, that you should not participate in the tour, before your departure, he/she may exclude you from the tour. In this event, you will be offered the option of taking another tour considered suitable for you or a full refund. If for any reason during a tour the nominated tour leader considers you should not participate further due to you committing an illegal act, or in the opinion of the nominated tour leader, your behaviour is causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others, or your fitness or health is inadequate, he or she may direct you not to continue and you must follow the nominated trip leader's instructions. In this case you will not be entitled to any refund.

12. JURISDICTION:

No employee, representative or agent of SERENE HIMALAYA TREKS AND EXPEDITION other than Company Head or Directors to vary these conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Nepal Government.

13. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT:

If you have a problem during your holiday, you must inform your trip leader who will endeavour to put things right.

14. PROMOTIONAL IMAGES:

Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our trips may be used by the company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the invented) for bona fide promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, website slides, video shows and the internet.
