Itinerary
The ultimate gorilla trekking Uganda experience while on this safari you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This park is home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas and is one of the best places to trek them. To track the gorillas, you’ll need to be accompanied by an experienced guide who will lead you through the dense forest and teach you about the gorillas’ behaviour, ecology, and more. The experience is unique and a once-in-a-lifetime, as you can observe these majestic animals in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking permits are required and are available for purchase in advance. Be sure to book your spot in advance as the permits are limited and sell out quickly.

Day 2
Bwindi Forest National Park | Explore Bwindi From Above
After breakfast, you will start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Kisoro Airstrip. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and drive to Bwindi. In the afternoon, you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture based on how they live, dance, and also hear stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed.
Day 3
Gorilla Trekking Day
After breakfast with your packed lunch, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts during your gorilla trekking. Your gorilla trekking experience will start immediately after the briefing. This is a memorable and amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around, and also do their day-to-day activities. This activity can take 2 hours or even up to 8 hours since it is dependent on the location and movement of the gorillas. Also, expect to walk long distances in muddy and steep conditions- this will require you to have a walking stick. On meeting the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them as you take photos and observe their subtle social interactions, and remarkable behaviors closely resembling our own. Later, trek back to the park headquarters to pick up your certificates and return back to the lodge.
Day 4
Transfer Back to Entebbe
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kisoro Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. You will then connect to your flight back home.
