Day 2

Visit to the most important and significant attractions of the city including Antigua’s most beautiful churches, monasteries, convents, and the cultural center. This city is among the world’s best conserved colonial cities, it is a magical and captivating small city that will make you feel time stopped some 300 years ago. From its colonial architecture to its beautiful surroundings; strolling through town on the cobbled streets, you will experience the splendors of ancient times.

Day 3

Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo Antigua, Antigua Guatemala

Visit to the most active volcano in Guatemala, its 2500 mts. above the sea; the environment is formed by humid forest and rocks. This is one of the most exciting experiences in Guatemala, where you will enjoy from impressive views of the lagoon of Calderas and other three volcanoes: Agua, Fuego and Acatenango and landscapes as if you were on the moon. It is readily accessible and you don’t need to be in good shape to climb it, however you need to wear good hiking boots and wear long pants. Early in the morning around 8 a.m. transfer to Pacaya Volcano for a 5 hours visit. Free Afternoon. Overnight accommodations in Antigua.

Day 4

Posada de Don Rodrigo Panajachel, Panajachel

Visit to Lake Atitlán, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. The word “Atitlán” is a Mayan word that translates as “the place where the rainbow gets its colors”. Panajachel is an 800 year old town of about 14000 people, mostly Kaqchikel Mayas and some foreigners from every corner of the globe, living inside that rainbow. Upon arrival discover the magic that surrounds all its greatness while taking a boat to cross the lake and visit a Tzutuhil Village. This place is known for being one of the most authentic and best kept secrets in Guatemala.  The visit will begin with a Cultural tour visiting the different workshops where you discover how a women’s weaving cooperative continues the traditional methods of dying thread with native plants. Observe the process of extracting natural dyes used to create extraordinary textile products. The experience will continue with an explanation of the murals, visit to the church and local houses.  Time to have lunch in one of the most exquisite restaurants with a magnificent view.  Transfer back to Panajachel by boat to have lunch and visit the most important places.

Day 5

Hotel Isla de Flores, Flores

In the morning you will be transfer to Chichicastenango’s market, the most colorful and exciting place in the Mayan Highlands and the only place in Guatemala of 100% Quiché population. When finish transfer to Guatemala City to take your flight to Flores Peten.

Day 6

Transfer to Tikal archaeological site, our guide will show you the layout of the complex of Temples and Acropolis.  Visit Complex Q and R, then to the Central Acropolis, Temples I “of the Gran Jaguar and the Temple II” Los Mascarones “, regarded as the first one of the most important within the complex.   Visit to the Lost World. Return to the Visitor Center for lunch. After lunch transfer back to your hotel in Flores, Peten.

Day 7

San Ignacio Resort Hotel, San Ignacio

Transfer to Yaxhá, a former ceremonial center and city of the Pre-Columbian Maya Civilization.  The facilities have evidence of Teotihuacan influence in their architecture and stelae.   We can find the only twin pyramid complex outside of Tikal, also known as the Stelae Plaza.  Time for Lunch.

Transfer to San Ignacio to your accommodation.

Day 8

San Ignacio Resort Hotel, San Ignacio

After breakfast you will visit the archaeological site Caracol. A great city once, remains in the site of one of the tallest manmade structures in the entire country the “Canaa or Sky Pyramid”. You will watch the amazing scenic area of jagged forested peaks, rolling hills and steep gorge. When finish return to San Ignacio for overnight accommodations.

Day 9

Ramons Village Resort, San Pedro

Today you will have an adventure tour to the ATM Caves, this caves features ceramics, stoneware and even human skeletons. You will hike for 30 minutes through the forest before arriving the entrance to the cave. A short swim will lead you into the amazing underworld realm. You will enjoy geological formations like sparkling stalactites, stalagmites, and flow stones. We recommend bringing light clothing and swim wear and close-toe footwear with good sole grips. Return to your hotel.

Activities: Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave Tour (ATM)

Day 10

Ramons Village Resort, San Pedro

Hol Chan is the oldest marine reserve located on the southern trip in Ambergris Cayes, which cover approximately three-square miles and it’s divided into four zones. We will make two stops to enjoy the amazing underwater landscape of the Barrier Reef to its fullest. You will see all kinds of corals as well as bright tropical fish. Return to hotel Overnight accommodations.

Our cancellation policy is:

Cancellations over 30 days:  charges on expenditures.
Cancellations between 30 to 15 days: 50% refund.
Cancellations between 00 to 14 days: 0% refund.
No show: Nonrefundable.

There would not be any kind of refund in cases that do not follow the cancelation policy.

In case there is a cancellation from Guatemalan Adventure’s side, the client will get back the total amount paid for the trip.

Luggage:

The regulation of the quantity and weight of luggage are subject only to the airline’s regulations, these must be detailed by the Travel Agency.
