The Western Cyclades offer one of the most unique changes of scenery of all the islands in the Aegean Sea. Made for hikers, Sifnos boasts a superb wealth of natural beauty, taking advantage of the diversity of its soils to create an island that is greener than its neighbours, with cultivated valleys winding between imposing peaks. Sifnos is a charming island where time seems to stand still. The volcanic islands of Milos and Kimolos have very different faces to Sifnos. The coastal paths of Milos are dazzling, moving between unusual volcanic strata and sedimentary rocks. Finally, a walk along the discreet Kimolos will take you into forgotten valleys and along a coastline where the beaches are an urgent call to swim against a ackdrop of mountains of authentic beauty.
Tour highlights:
• The discovery of 3 islands in the Cyclades archipelago, very unspoilt and less visited
• Sifnos, a hiker's paradise. Milos and Kimolos, volcanic islands with breathtaking scenery!
• Alternating walking, swimming, sightseeing and tavernas with welcoming terraces

Ferry to Sifnos (approx. 2h30). This is one of the most attractive islands in the Cyclades for hiking: magnificent itineraries link traditional villages to perched churches (Sifnos has 370 churches and chapels), high above superb coastal scenery. Settle in Kamares, in front of a pretty beach, for 4 nights. After a swim and a picnic on the beach, we set off on our first easy hike. Transfer to Kastro (about 15 minutes). From Kastro, a beautiful path takes us south to the village of Faros and its pretty harbour.
Further on is the monastery of Panagia Chryssopigi, built on a spit of land jutting out into the sea.
Transfer back to Kamares (approx. 20 minutes). Option to continue inland to Apollonia along the irrigation channels to the monastery of Vryssi and the village of Exampela, birthplace of the famous chef and cookery writer of the first half of the 20th century, Nikolaos Tselementes.

Among the olive trees, you'll come across the pretty abandoned farm of Moussia. A little further on, the sea reappears, but it's the colours of the volcanic rocks that really catch the eye. Opposite, the small islet of Kitriani reveals a small chapel, the oldest on Sifnos! This beautiful stage ends at Platys Gialos with a pleasant descent offering a magnificent view of the bay. We'll take time to swim and enjoy this superb beach. Transfer back to Kamares (20 minutes).

Boat timetables between the two islands are subject to change depending on the season and the weather.

We set off for Chorio, the main town with its windmills lined up on the Ksaplovouni ridge. We then follow a beautiful path to Skiadi Rock, an astonishing mushroom-shaped rock sculpted by erosion, before reaching the seafront for a stroll from beach to beach, where you can indulge your desire for a swim. The return journey to Chorio takes you along gravel paths through a beautiful shaded valley, passing through several ruined hamlets. Crossing back to Milos.

Luggage transport
All you need to carry is a small backpack with your day's essentials, a picnic lunch and food for the day.
You will have to transfer all your luggage from the boat to the vehicle that transports luggage to the islands, and then to your room (and vice versa).
The ferries
We'll be travelling from island to island on the regular ferries that ply the Aegean from Piraeus.
These big boats are a guarantee of arrival on the islands. Greek ferries can sail at up to force 9/10, depending on their size. There can be a lot of wind at sea without you even realizing its effects on the islands. You just need to be in a sheltered cove or bay (or on the right side of the island) not to feel the effects.
