Pikey Peak Trek, a new practiced trekking package of Everest section passes the route used by the adventurers Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. The trek leads to the vantage point, hilltop from where you can see the first and last rays of the sun over the magnificent Himalayas.
Along with the astonishing views of the white peaks including views of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Gauri Shankar, Mera Peak and many more, you can explore the culture, lifestyle of the diverse ethnic groups closely. This off the beaten and less crowded trial way also offers them opportunities to explore antique gompas, monasteries Mani walls and stupas.
This moderately difficult trek begins from Dhap Bazaar and ends at Phaplu. On the way, we pass through the settlements, lush hills, forests covered by the pine, rhododendron and oak trees. Following the off the beaten trail, we reach the hilltop- Pikey Peak (4065m) witnessing the astonishing panoramic views of the Himalayas. Further, we head towards Phaplu passing several Sherpa settlements, Monasteries, gompas and stupas including the Buddhist culture and traditions.
