Itinerary
Our Helambu Trek is an 11-day long moderately arduous trekking package into the exquisite region of Helambu, which positions itself to the northeast of Kathmandu Valley, about 75km away from Kathmandu. Helambu Trek passes through villages, the majority of which are occupied by the Sherpa Community whose tradition and lifestyle is uncommon to the Sherpa inhabitant of its neighboring Solukhumbu region.
Though there are two possible initial points to commence Helambu Treks, the route beginning from Ganja La Pass is generally regarded as the more challenging one. Thus, our Helambu Treks will begin from Sundarijal (1350m) and takes us into the wild and thrilling excitement of exploring the forests, where a great diversity of animals lure and a plethora of rhododendrons bloom. Crossing the rivulets, we have 180-degree views of snow-clad mountains, including Langtang Ri, Ganesh Himal, Lang Sisa, Chorkari Ri. We also have the opportunity to experience the local culture and livelihood, particularly at the Tamang Villages of Chisopani and Sermanthang that has been unaltered throughout all these years. Swimming in Melamchi Khola is yet another highlight. Our Helambu Trek concludes as we drive back to our hotel in Kathmandu from Melamchi Bazaar. Thus Helambu Trek is an ideal package which artistically blends adventure with culture and is easily viable as it is located close to Kathmandu. It is a short, not too difficult trek, and it is certainly underrated. You will have an amazing time embarking on the Helambu Trek.
