Tour program

Day 1

Easter Island Arrival

Arrive at the airport. Transfer to the selected hotel and you have the rest of the day free to relax or visit the city.

Start point

Aeropuerto Internacional Mataveri, Isla de Pascua, Valparaíso 2770000, Chile

05:00 - 23:00

The invitation of this day is to discover the place where the competition was formerly held

of the Bird Man (Tangata -manu) that was performed annually in the spring time in the

cliff of the Rano Kau volcano and the ceremonial village of Orongo. We cannot forget that history

at all times will be present on our tour, one of the witnesses of that story is

Rano Kau. This freshwater crater is one of the main volcanoes on our island and has

a privileged view of the Pacific Ocean and the interior of the volcano. In addition, we will know Orongo

ceremonial village of great cultural and spiritual importance given its relationship with the

Tangata Manu competition. The village has a total of 54 houses of which the majority were

restored in 1974. Today this village contains a path that will allow us a view

direct to the restored houses along with their rock art and petroglyphs. Next, we will head

to Vinapu, this ceremonial center is one of the most important on the island and one of the most

mysterious, because its large basalt slabs fit perfectly on the back of

its ahu or platform, which impacts its similarity to the ancient constructions of the Inca Empire in

Cuzco. After touring and knowing with amazement the history of our town we will finish

our tour, leaving you invited to learn more about our roots. Return to the hotel.

Easter Island is a destination that invites us to know its history by

through traditions and science. On this route we will focus on seeing and understanding how

ancient islanders were connected with celestial and astronomical events. This tour visits three sites

archaeological: the beginning of our tour begins with a trekking of approximately

20 minutes to Ana te Pahu. This vast underground cave is one of the most visited, and is

found within the inner part of the island in the Roiho area. This cavern once served

as a tribal residential, as it contained a source of fresh water and a diversity of plants

cultivated. Its name "Te Pahu" means drum in Rapanui it was given due to its layer of lava

petrified that resonates when jumping on it, like a drum would. We continue with Aku Akivi, this

site is one of the most majestic on the island, as it contains a large platform adorned with 7

restored statues which represent the seven explorers who came to the island to open

on the way to Ariki Hotu Matu'a. This place was built around the 15th century, with an orientation

astronomical special, which was important not only for the daily functioning of the tribe but

also for the spiritual ceremonies of the ancient Rapa Nui, You can also find the

remains of crematoria, where human bones and small statuettes were found. Then

We will continue to the Puna Pau quarry, it is the crater of an old volcano located 15 kilometers away

northeast of Hanga Roa, close to Ahu Akivi. This place is characterized by housing the raw material

to build the pukaos (hat-like bows) that would later serve to crown the moais. To the

end our tour, we will realize that we were part of the origin, tradition and science of

a culture that recreates itself with surprising vitality. A piece of Chile that invites you to be

discovered. Return to the hotel.

We follow in the footsteps of the first King of the Island, Ariki Hotu Matúa. It is said that fate was

determined by a dream which took him to Easter Island to start the period of

Colonization. On our tour we will visit

five archaeological sites, during the morning

We will visit Akahanga, Rano Raraku and Ahu Tongariki, important places for the Rapa Nui culture

located on the south coast, which from the earliest times and until today invite us to be part of the

history of a culture full of archaeological riches. At the end of our first tour, we

They will invite you to have lunch at the Rapa Nui family house, the company in this place will be the garden with

typical trees of the area that invite us to live the experience of sharing and knowing the benefits

of its gastronomy. Once we are ready to start our second tour, our guide us

will take you to Te Pito Kura, through the internal road of the island, this archaeological site known

as the navel of the world, it consists of a platform that until today has remained intact with

its moai. This Moai is the largest sculpture ever transported from the Rano quarry

Raraku and raised on his ahu. Our last steps are reserved for Anakena one of the

most important beaches in the history of Easter Island, since according to tradition, it was here

where the first king of the island, the Ariki Hotu Matu´a landed with his men and established the first town that gave rise to the Rapa Nui culture. In this same place we will find two ahus and their respective moai. a unique landscape that cannot be missed. For those who want to take time to contemplate, rest and enjoy the white sand, its crystal clear waters, it is the ideal place to do so. Return to the hotel.

At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to board your next flight.
