Day 4

Cairo Historic Attractions

Egyptian Museum (Cairo, Egypt)

After breakfast, you have a day at leisure. An optional tour to Cairo, known as the "City of Minarets," is available. Your tour guide will provide insights into the city's captivating sights.

The Egyptian Museum

The famous Egyptian Museum, which houses many rare and wonderful antiques from 5,000 years ago and was inherited from the 5th Dynasty, is all included within one center. It is a dynamic, lively part of Cairo, and the two-story building was erected in 1902. This edition emphasizes the true origins and culture of Egypt.

The Hanging Church

The hanging church is one of the most historically significant sites from the early Coptic era in the 5th century A.D. It is said to be the main reason it was 30 feet above the street level, near the southern wall of the Roman fortress of Babylon. The church is also rich in artistic treasures from the 7th to the 13th century.

the Amr ibn Al Aas Mosque.

The first mosque in Africa, the Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque, was constructed in 641 AD. Since its 7th-century origin, it has been reconstructed many times. It is still used as a mosque and is the epicenter of Egypt's historical architectural heritage. The mosque makes Egyptians proud; it has been reconstructed several times throughout history. Thus, it has become a living example of Islamic architectural development.

The Ben Ezra synagogues

are famous places to visit for tourists in Cairo.

Ben Ezra Synagogue: The eldest synagogue in the Holy Land, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, dates back to the 19th century. It was transformed from a church to a synagogue in 882 AD, and it became one of the most important Jewish meeting points in Egypt, enriched by ornaments and complicated geometry.

El Muizz Street

Al Muizz Golden Street was established by Fatimid between 953 and 975 AD and further expanded in 1171 AD. It is a cultural center displaying stunning examples of Islamic art and architecture in its many house museums, cafes, and art galleries.

The Khan El Khalili Bazaar

Khan El Khalili is a disorderly commercial strip in the Middle East with the largest commercial center and roadside in the region. The road was constructed in 970 AD and still possesses all the facilities travelers need—multiple generations of magical cafes and shops. Exceptionally well-preserved Islamic architecture and street decorations give you the feeling of returning to your 1000—or 2000-year-old life.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 5

Islamic Cairo Day Tour

After breakfast, we will arrange you to visit:

The Salah El Din Citadel

Salah El Din Castle, one of the ancient architectural sites, Constructed in 1182, this fort symbolizes Egypt's power and importance in the Middle East. Located in Mokattam, the highest part of Cairo, it was originally constructed as a defensive fortress and a meeting place for rulers. Today, the citadel is renowned for its museums and galleries, which showcase valuable artifacts.

The Mosque of Muhammed Ali (Salah Ed-Din Mosque)

The Muhammad Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, is renowned for its unique use of marble. Built between 1830 and 1848 to replicate Istanbul's Blue Mosque, it symbolizes freedom from Turkish colonial rule. The mosque combines Ottoman architecture with French Rococo style, making it particularly captivating. A notable feature is a brass clock by King Louis Philippe of France, which was gifted in 1845 in exchange for an obelisk at Concorde Plaza in Paris.

The Sultan Hassan Mosque

The Sultan Hassan Mosque built between 1356 A.D. and 1363 A.D. near the citadel of Cairo during the mamluk(epoch of Egypt) period, represents the period of Egypt's high luxury, where each mosaic was an engineering marvel that stood in just the right spot, i.e., the bend of the minaret. This mythical creature at the center of Old Cairo is a Mosque-Madrasa, both in spirit and body. Its size, as well as many of its architectural elements, make it so popular.

The Al Rifai Mosque

The Al-Rafai Mosque, constructed in modern times and mentioned in guidebooks from 1868 to 1912, is situated east of the Sultan Hassan Mosque. Its impressive architecture showcases a quadruple stand and incorporates various European styles. Later, it was converted into a mausoleum for the Muhammad Ali family.

The Ibn Tulun Mosque

The Ibn Tulun Mosque is one of Africa's oldest mosques in Cairo. Built between 868 and 884 AD on the Hill of Thanksgiving—considered the resting place of Noah's Ark—it showcases Egypt's rich architectural heritage with its stunning golden stucco and wood decorations.
