After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to head North towards Lonely Plantes ‘fourth-best region to visit’ in the world – Donegal

  • This morning we will travel to Westport and have “the craic” (Irish fun) on an award-winning walking tour while showing you everything this beautiful town has to offer. They will tell you all about the history of this beautiful Georgian town, from local Saints to local Pirates and everything in between, but you’ll also find out where to get everything from the best handmade Irish ice cream to the best pint of Guinness, all of the things that make Westport officially, the best place to live in Ireland.
  • Discover Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery, one of the most important megalithic sites in Europe. Over 30 tombs have been discovered here by archaeologists; take some time to explore these fascinating monuments.
  • This evening is spent overlooking the bay in Donegal Town. You won’t be lost for good music and a good time in this seaside town.

Overnight in Donegal

Now it is time to explore the North West: the Hills of Donegal. Discover remote stunning beaches, hidden caves, and amazing views all around.

  • Visit Crolly Distillery and be part of the revival of traditional Donegal Gaeltacht whiskey with ownership of a limited offering of full-bodied complex Irish Pot Still whiskey.
  • Distillation has been passed down through the ages from St Colmcille in 560 AD, who was known to distill alcohol at the bottom of Errigal to the island’s poitin makers.
  • From here, you head to one of the most remote and unspoiled areas in the country, County Donegal, which offers stunning scenery and inimitable Gaelic culture. Passing through the romantically haunting Glenveagh National Park and the soaring peak of Mount Errigal, you come to the traditional fishing villages of the area.
  • Our next and final stop is Derry. Northern Ireland’s second-largest city, which is steeped in rich Irish history. We provide a walking tour of the city, helping visitors to learn about the Troubles. Derry is also here where we will spend the evening. Enjoy the amazing restaurants Derry has on offer.

Overnight in Derry

Leaving bustling Derry behind, you move through the phenomenal scenery of the Antrim Coast and Glens, an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

  • Moving along the winding roads of Ballycastle, you enter the awe-inspiring setting of the Giant’s Causeway, where history and myth collide spectacularly with raw geological power.
  • A short journey from the coast lies Belfast, a city famed for its industrial heritage and turbulent past. A historical feast, you take a short city tour that covers the capital’s triumphs, tragedies, and soul.
  • Explore Belfast with a guided Black Cab Tour (Tour Option) or enjoy a visit to the fantastic Titanic Centre (Tour Option) or follow the Game of Thrones trail.
  • Spend some time exploring the city’s coolest pubs, shops, and restaurants.

  • Recognized primarily as the residence of the High Kings of Ireland, the Hill of Tara in County Meath has held significance since the unearthing of a late Stone Age passage tomb. Delve into the rich history of this iconic attraction, allowing the enchantment and enigma of the Stone Ages to engulf you.
  • All good things must come to an end! We will say our fond farewells in Dublin City. If you have some time left in Ireland and would like to spend some time in Dublin your expert guide will arm you with great recommendations for things to see and do in the capital.
