Nepal is home to 10 such UNESCO World Heritage sites that are spread across the country. Our 10-days Heritage tour will take you across 8 of these 10 sites. Experience the rich culture and lifestyle of Nepalese community as you take this heritage tour showcasing a mix of architectural and spiritual beauty as you visit several durbar squares, shrines and the famed birth land of Buddha. The UNESCO World Heritage Site Tour elegantly encompasses the cultural and natural aspects of the country to offer you a different taste than the one available in Himalayan ventures yet unfazed to provide supremely of Nepal.


 


The 10-day itinerary begins with our arrival in Kathmandu, a bustling city in a valley surrounded by hills. Kathmandu is accompanied by Bhaktapur and Lalitpur; two cities with their own historical significance. Starting our tour at Basantapur Durbar Square, an ancient royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom showcasing the Newari art and craft, we bask in the striking beauty of these 3rd-century structures constructed and further developed by the Lichhavi, Malla, and Shah dynasties. We continue on to Swayambhunath and Boudhanath, shrines sacred to the Buddhist community, and move on to Pashupatinath, a shrine of Lord Shiva sacred to Hindus. Continuing our tour, we visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square before moving on to Lalitpur. Changunarayan Temple in Bhaktapur, which is located 12km east of Kathmandu, is one of the additional sites in our itinerary. The tour then takes us out of Kathmandu Valley as we venture to Lumbini, in the mid-west of Nepal, which is popular as the birthplace of Buddha. It is a Buddhist pilgrimage for their founder was born here making Mayadevi temple the holiest of sites among other temples and monasteries. Moving on to Lumbini International Research Institute, which is a museum in Lumbini that shares Buddha’s wisdom to promote a humane and compassionate society. Finally, we travel to the tourist city of Pokhara and spend a day visiting attractions including Phewa Lake, Peace Gompa,and David falls among others. Our 10-day circuit is complete as we return to Kathmandu. This trip can be taken throughout the year.

Day 1

Arrive kathmandu

Welcome to the capital city of Nepal. Arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport and post-immigration procedures, you will be received by the tour rep. at the exit gates. Transferred to your hotel you will check in and spend the evening over a cultural program at a traditional Nepali restaurant. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu

Day 2

Kathmandu World Heritage Sites visit

Visit 4 UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu. A private vehicle will transport you to all these sites. Boudhanath: Start the day with a visit to a famous Buddhist shrine in Boudha. The stupa is located 11km from the center of Kathmandu and said to lie on the ancient trade route from Tibet. Participate in the morning circumambulations while also visiting nearby shops selling Tibetan Buddhist handmade arts(Thangkha). Pashupatinath: Moving on to Pashupatinath which is just 2.4km away from Boudha, we transition to Hindu ideology with this famous shrine of Shiva. Located on the banks of Bagmati River, this temple is a collection of ashrams and other temples including the main shrine. Kathmandu Durbar Square: Next stop is the palace square at Basantapur, aka. Basantapur Durbar Square. It used to housepalace of Kings from Malla and Shah Dynasties. Located in the heart of Kathmandu valley, you can visit various attractions within the square and try local delicacies at some of the most famous restaurants in the country. Swayambhunath: Final stop of the day, we head west to Swayambhunath, which is the most sacred pilgrimage amongst Buddhist Newar and Tibetan Buddhists. Immerse in the spiritual atmosphere as you circumambulate around the shrine and offer prayers while visiting the Karma raja Mahavihara (where Buddha is said to meditate before hundreds of light). Day 3

Bhaktapur World Heritage Sites visit and Changunarayan

Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Start the day with a visit to Bhaktapur, a quaint old Newari town located 13km east of Kathmandu. The entire square comprises the main palace square, Taumadhi square, Dattatraya square, and Pottery square.Visit the 55 window palace, Vatsala temple, Naytapola temple, and Bhairava Nath temple among other countless shrines spread across the square. Make sure you try freshly made yogurt which is the most famous staple of this city. Changunarayan: Second of two stops for the day, Changunarayan temple is to the north and 4km from to Bhaktapur Durbar Square. While hilltop temples are not uncommon, this is another shrine named after the village, Changu, surrounding it and after the daughter, Champak, of Kashmiri King when she married the prince of Bhaktapur. This famous shrine of Lord Vishnu is considered the oldest temple in Nepal. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 4

Patan World Heritage Sites Visit

Patan Durbar Square: Located in the heart of Lalitpur city and 5.4km from Kathmandu, this durbar square is another of the royal palace squares famed as a residence for Malla Kings and Thakuri Dynasty during 16th Century. With the square divided over three courtyards namely Keshav Narayan, Mul, and Sundari we visit the Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Mandir and Vishwanath temple among 55 other temples and Bahal spread across this area. Day 5

Drive from Kathmandu to Lumbini

With visits in Kathmandu complete, we catch a bus to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. We start our journey as we take the Prithvi Highway to Lumbini around 300km from Kathmandu. While the bus ride can drain you, the tranquil beauty of the landscape coupled with occasional meetings with local folks along the way will be a welcome change. After 7 hours on the road, we arrive at Lumbini, a region in the southern plains of Nepal. Overnight stay at a hotel in Lumbini.
Day 6

Lumbini Sightseeng

Starting the day early, we begin exploring Lumbini with a visit to the Mayadevi Temple. It is the birthplace of Buddha as the affidavit is inscribed on the Ashoka pillar by the temple. This divine temple and pilgrimage for Buddhists are accompanied by the Bodhi tree and Mayadevi Pond within its premises. We shall also visit Myanmar golden temple, China temple, Korean temple, Cambodian monastery and Royal Thai Monastery. Later, we will visit the World Peace Pagoda, aka. Japan Peace Stupa which is a perfect symbol of this land of Peace. Overnight stay at a hotel in Lumbini.
Day 7

Drive to Pokhara from Lumbini

Early in the morning, we set out for Pokhara as we catch a luxury bus from Lumbini. A 6-hour bus ride along the Siddhartha highway will be the trip as we head 170km to the northeast. As we take the road, we pass Butwal and Tansen before arriving in Pokhara. The roads are one of the most spectacular in the country with a serpentine track along enormous gorges. Day 8

At pokhara

Pokhara is a tourist city famous for glorious views of the Himalayas and a melting pot for most tourists who plan to explore the city or venture into the Himalayas. It has tourist attractions like David Falls, Phewa Lake, Peace Gompa, numerous caves and shrines spread across the city. Thrill seekers go for paragliding or skydiving. Day 9

Drive to Kathmandu from pokhara

We catch a tourist bus early in the morning as we complete our circuit and head back to Kathmandu. Passing through lush green forests and pockets of settlements, we cross Muglin, which was our crossroads earlier. Then, we head onto Kurintar, Malekhu, and Gajuri before arriving in Kathmandu. Enjoy the ride upstream along Trishuli River. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 10

Departure transfer

The final day of this trip, venture out into the Thamel market for the last minute souvenir shopping before you are seen off at the airport by the tour representative. Make sure you inquire about future trips and make plans as you depart.

Note: It is notified that all the travel packages such as treks, tours, hikes, expeditions, peak climbing, adventure sports, and others are referred to as ‘trips’ unless mentioned otherwise.

1. Our contract

The bookings you will be making are with Corporate Adventure Treks Pvt. Ltd (Government Registration Number: 134571/071/072. Once the booking is made, you are liable to the agreed Terms and Conditions and your bookings will thus be accepted on such a basis.

2. Deposit requirement  

For confirmation, you are required to pay a Refundable deposit of 30% of trip cost. If the booking is made with 30 days of the departure date then you are required to pay the full amount at the time of booking.

3. Acceptance of booking and final payments   

You will receive a confirmation invoice, once your booking is accepted, thus beginning our date of the contract. You are required to pay the balance of the trip 30 days before the departure date. If the amount is not paid on or before the due date, we acquire the right to cancel your booking. To make the payment you can either use Bank Transfer or Credit Card (Master/Visa/American Express/Union Pay/JCB/SCT Card). The customer is required to fill the preferred payment option while form filling.

4. Your details  

To confirm your booking, you must provide all requested details with the mentioned amount of the trip. You are suggested to mention necessary details such as full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry date, and any pre-existing medical conditions you have which may affect your travel.

5. Cancellation by the traveler  

Cancellation fee must be paid in case of cancellation of some or all portion of the booking. Such cancellation is applicable when we receive the written confirmation of the cancellation. If you cancel a trip:

- 60 days or more prior to departure, we will keep the deposit;

- Between 59 and 21 days prior to departure, we will retain 20% of the total booking cost

- 20 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 50% paid by you in connection with the booking.

Note that cancellation conditions may be different on some trips and additional services. Also, for certain travel arrangements, the cancellation charge may be higher than those mentioned. If you are not able to continue the trip after it has commenced, then we are not liable for any refunds for unused services. No refunds will be made if you fail to join the tour, join it after departure or leave before its completion. The above cancellation fees are additional to fees which may be charged by accommodation, flight, and transport fees.

6. Cancellation by us

Our trip shall be guaranteed once we have a fully paid traveler unless minimum group size specifies otherwise. We reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events when it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. In such a situation, we shall transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or provide a full refund. We are not liable for incidental expenses incurred from your booking, visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.  

7. Booking amendments 

Please notify us 15 days before if you wish to transfer from one trip to another or transfer the booking to a third party. A charge of ZERO [0%] per person per change will be applicable (in addition to any charges levied by hotels, transport operators, or airlines). Change in any other arrangements made will incur Zero administration fee per booking per change. You will not be allowed to change your booking arrangement 10 days before departure.

8. Inclusions/ Exclusions  

For more detail on what is included and excluded in the trip, please visit individual pages of each trip. All the services are as per the information at the website unless stated otherwise.

9. Age & Health requirements

A minimum-age-criterion has to be fulfilled to undertake many of the trips- please send us the detail information. If you are under the age of 10 a legal guardian must accompany the traveler. For further queries, please contact us. 

10. Passport and visas 

You are liable to carry necessary documents such as a valid passport for 6 months beyond the duration of trip, visas, permits, and certificates for the countries you are visiting. We are not accountable if you are refused entry because of failure to present the necessary documentation. 

11. Travel insurance

It is a must for travelers to have a travel insurance which includes medical coverage, air ambulance, and helicopter rescue services. You are suggested to take out cancellation insurance. You must be known that some policies do not restrict a cover for this type of travel. Please make sure that the policy is appropriate enough to provide the level of protection for the activities. Please carry a proof of insurance (your insurance certificate) with you during the trip.  

12. Flexibility

Please be known that, In Nepal Himalayas travel needs considerable flexibility and thus, you should consider alternatives. The route, schedules, itineraries, amenities, and mode of transport provided may change without prior notice due to unforeseeable obstacles.

13. Authority on tour

The group leader of the trip takes the final decision on all matters which may affect the safety or wellbeing of the travelers or staff members in the trip. If you fail to conform to the decisions made, you will be directed to leave the trip immediately with no right of refund. We may also not include you in any future trips. You must conform to the laws, customs, foreign exchange, drugs and agree to travel in accordance with our responsible travel guidelines. 

14. Risk & Liabilities

Our company is focused to provide you with the best services and perform duties sincerely to make the journey smooth and unforgettable. However, the entire journey is conducted under the country's rules and regulation.

Thus, Corporate Adventure Treks and its related organizations shall not be liable for any changes in the itinerary due to inevitable circumstances such as government restriction, road blockage, or political unrest. The traveler is responsible for any extra cost incurred from such an event. 

15. Health & Fitness

All the members are required to be physically fit. It is important to make sure that you are liable for necessary travel and health documents and additional medical charges before the departure. The participants of the trip are also advised to consult their doctor for necessary vaccination and medical examinations prior to the trip. The company is permitted to require a medical certificate prior to booking or departure of the trip.

16. Claims & complaints

In case of any complaints, please inform the group leader or the local representative for immediate rectification. If not yet satisfied, then send us the complaint in written format within 7 days of the end of the trip

17. Applicable law

In case of any disputes, the laws will be applicable under the Nepal Government which governs the Terms and Condition to the fullest extent.

  • Nepal is a developing country, so some rough corners should be expected, and tolerated. Electricity can suddenly be cut off, and hot water in the shower is not always guaranteed. A sense of humor is important.
