Day 2

Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L)

08:00 AM: Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence Palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu.

Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office.

Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of both the Indochina wars.

12:00 PM: Have lunch at the local restaurant.

Then continue to Cu Chi Tunnel:

• You’ll have a chance to watch the documentary and see self-made weapon, bamboo traps,...and see how guerrillas dug , lived and fought inside the tunnels as well as learning how the strength of will against sophisticated weapon.

• You can crawl in the tunnels if you wish.

• Know how the locals make rice paper, rice wine.

• Try to fire AK-47. ( 600.000 VND / Bullets ) and the steamed cassava

• 18:00: Leave Cu Chi, return HCM center

Day 3

Mekong Delta/River Boat Trip (B/L)

Morning: The bus and tour guide will pick you up and transfer to Mekong Delta.

• On the way, we stop at Mekong Restop. You can buy some snacks and use the restroom here.

• Then you come to Vinh Trang pagoda built by Mr. and Mrs. Bui Cong Dat in the 19th century. Vinh Trang Pagoda is an architectural and artistic relic that ranks third in all types of pagodas in the southern part of the country. The pagoda was built in harmony with the architecture of both Europe and Asia.

• Next, visitors will go to My Tho Cruise Port , then board a boat to travel to Tien River, admire the four islets of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. Boats run along floating fish rafts for visitors to learn how local people raise fish in the river and see Rach Mieu Bridge.

• To Thoi Son Island (Lan island), you walk on the village road, visit local people's houses and fruit gardens, take souvenir photos and then visit the honey bee farm, enjoy honey lemon tea .

• Next, you come to the tunes of Don Ca Tai Tu Xu Dua – Southern folk music in Vietnam, eat fruit for free. After that, visitors use rowing boats to weave into the small canal to see the two rows of natural coconut trees and the simple landscape of the garden. Continue walking on the village’s road to coconut candy shop, learn how to make candy, show some handicraft made by coconut tree.

• After lunch, you can relax, fish for crocodiles, go to the monkey bridge, have a hammock to rest, or experience cycling on the village road, ...

• Afternoon (14:30): Return to My Tho by boat and depart back to Ho Chi Minh city.

• 17:00: The bus drop you off at hotel area Pham Ngu Lao street or Ben Thanh market.

Ho Chi Minh – Hue city (B)

Leave Ho Chi Minh City fly to Hue. Free at leisure.

Day 5

Hue City Tour - Danang (B/L)

Visit one of the most aesthetic royal tombs: Khai Dinh Tomb - This jaw dropping blend of Western and Eastern architecture was constructed between 1920-1931 for the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty – Emperor Khai Dinh.

12:30: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant serving the best Hue dishes.

13:30: Explore the Citadel one of the UNESCO Heritage Sites in Vietnam. (Important Reminder: Please wear clothes that cover your knees when visiting this place.)

15:00: Get amazed at the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest pagoda in Vietnam. Due to its beauty, it became a common subject to many local folk rhymes and is considered the unofficial symbol of Hue.

16:00: Enjoy a Dragon Boat ride back to the Hue city center while looking at the peaceful scenery of the ancient Hue city as you cruise along the romantic Perfume River.

16:30: Transfer to Da Nang via the Hai Van Tunnel. Approximate arrival in Danang is 18:30.

Day 6

Danang City - Hoian Ancient Town Walking (B/D)

8:00 Pick up at hotel in Da Nang then start visiting Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain), visit the third Linh Ung Pagoda of Danang, with the highest Buddha statue, and admire the huge Buddha Statue which is the highest statue in Vietnam. You will be amazed at its cool climate there. 

15:30 transfer to visit Five Marble Mountain: a cluster of five limestone peaks in Vietnam

Continue to visit Hoi An -  World Heritage. Take a walking tour around the old sections (charming and wonderfully preserved, combining Chinese, Japanese and European influences). Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200 - year old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge. 

Have dinner in Hoi An.

Day 7

My Son Sanctuary & free for shopping (B/L)

Leave hotel at 9:00am. Drive to My Son, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son, considered being in the same league as some of Southeast Asia's greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries were built from the 7 to 13 centuries. Return to Town for light lunch. In afternoon, free go shopping in Hoi An Town.

Day 8

Hoi An – Danang - Hanoi (B)

Enjoy the time in Hoi An – heaven of shopping place in Vietnam until noon time. You leave Hoi An transfer to Danang Airport and fly to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi airport, pick up & transfer to hotel for check in. Free for leisure.

Day 9

Hanoi City tour and nigh train to Lao Cai (Sapa) (B/L)

Our guide will pick you up between 08h00 and 08h30.

08h30: Arrive Tran Quoc Pagoda –  the oldest pagoda in Ha Noi built in the 6th century.

09h30: Visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, you have a chance to see the embalmed body of  Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Godess of Mercy – It is the most unique padoga in the world.

  • Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, temples, pagodas…
  • Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed at least 2 months (15thJune -15thAugust) for the annual maintaining but still can take picture Mausoleum and visit around that area

11h00: Visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam.

- Special Note : we will visit Women Museum instead of Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays

12h45: Have lunch at our restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine with 8 delicious dishes.

14h00 – 14h15: Continue visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 century 

15h15: Leave for Hoa Lo Prison Museum which originally used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the "Hanoi Hilton. 

16h15 -16h30: Highlight will be a Water Puppet Performance – the unique form of Vietnamese art derived from wet rice civilization of South East Asia and transfer to your hotel.

Have dinners on your account. Driver comes to see you and transfer to train station for departure to Sapa with the night train.

Day 10

Lao Cai Station - Sapa Trekking Villages (B/L)

Arrive Lao Cai Railway Station around 6:00am. Pick up to Sapa town for having breakfast and start trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Black H'mong. Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the valley to get to Ta Van village to visit the Dzay people live, which supposed to be the friendliest one in mountainous area. The next is Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dzao tribe where you will see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall. In the afternoon, you get back Sapa Town for free to discover Sapa Market.

Day 11

Lao Cai - Bac Ha Sunday Market - Limousine Bus back Hanoi (B/L)

After breakfast in Sapa, you leave Sapa Town for Bac Ha Town to join Sunday Market with local people. Bac Ha is considered one of the most wonderful and colorful markets in extreme North Vietnam where thousands of local people in their traditional attire buy and sell the local products. Dogs, cats, pigs, horses... are all on sales. This is a golden opportunity to take your best photos! In the afternoon, we will take a pleasant walk to Ban Pho village, home to the flower H'Mong people. This is a great opportunity to interact with the friendly locals and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Leave Bac Ha Town for Lao Cai to join Limousine Shuttle bus return Hanoi. It takes 6 hours to get the Hanoi Old Quarter.

Day 12

Hanoi - Halong (B/L/D)

After breakfast, from 8-8:30am. You will drive from Hanoi to one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, Halong Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. This promises to be one of your most memorable travel experiences in Asia.

Day 13

Halong Bay Cruise - Hanoi (B/L)

Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.

After breakfast, explore cave, swim and relax. Cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Cruise check-out. Rejoin car drive back to Hanoi for overnight.

Day 14

Hanoi - Ninh Binh (B/L)

07:00 – 07:30 - Our guide will meet you at your hotel/stay and start 110km modern Bus-journey through verdant landscape of country side. Short-brake en route.

10:45 – Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel with Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple dating back to the 17th Century.

12:00 – Enjoy the lunch at our restaurant with the great local cuisines.

13:30 – Leave for the Trang An Grottoes, an out-standing natural beauty of majestic limestone

massif at 20 square kilometer rise dramatically out from rice paddy fields. Deep into the linked

chains of towering mountain are pristine places of mystical valleys, numerous fresh water ponds, and jungle.

Embark on a traditional sampan gently roweddown the exquisite river through numerous caves: Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, Thanh Truot Cave,...and Cao Sơn Temple, Suoi Tien Temple, Vu Lam Temple…

15:30 – Arrive Mua Cave and start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa Long mountain for

watching the spectacular rice valley with specious view of the nature.

17:15 – Return to our bus and then come back to Ha Noi

19:30 – Drop you off at your hotel/stay.

2/ CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMERS

You may cancel the booking at any time provided that the cancellation is communicated to us in writing.

Your notice of cancellation will only take effect when it is received in writing by us and will be effective

from the date on which we receive it. It is important to be aware that once your deposits are paid, should

you wish to cancel at any time thereafter, the deposits are non-refundable. In addition the cancellation

penalties detailed below will be applied. It is strongly recommended that you have suitable cancellation

insurance coverage from the time of booking. The following rules apply for cancellations:

  • Cancellation received before 45 days: FREE of charge
  • Cancellation received from 30 days to 44 days prior arrival date: 10% of total rate
  • Cancellation received from 15 days to 29 days prior arrival date: 30% of total rate
  • Cancellation received from 7 days to 14 days prior arrival date: 50% of total rate
  • Cancellation received less than 7 days prior arrival date or No show: 100% of total rate.

4/ PASSPORT

For all travel to and from the countries in which we operate, a valid passport is required at all times.

Conditions for specific validity of passports and regulations for other valid travel documentation can be

obtained from each respective embassy and/or consulate in the client’s native country. For most countries,

passports need to be valid for at least six months from the date of entry at a border post/airport/seaport

and with at least 2 blank pages.

5/ VISA

In addition to passport requirements, visas for certain countries are required. These can either be obtained

in the country of residence prior to departure or on arrival at immigration or a visa processing desk. Full

details about the specific visa conditions and requirements to obtain visas for each specific country can be

obtained from your consultant or from your embassy and/or consulate in the client’s native country.

6/ TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance from your country before and during your travel.

Neither Indochina Today Travel nor our agents/suppliers or business partners shall/and can be held

responsible for any loss, or damaged or stolen personal belongings.

7/ HEALTH & SAFETY

We value health and safety as its top priority in the selection of product and provision of its services. All

clients are encouraged by our guides to follow the safety regulations for any service provided. We check

hotels, restaurants and other suppliers to ensure they meet our health and safety standards before

recommending them to any of our clients.

Neither Vietnam Travel nor any of our representatives will be responsible for any illness, injury or death

sustained on your trip except where such illness, injury or death is caused by negligence or that of our

representatives, nor will we be liable for any uninsured loss of personal property.

8/ ACCOMMODATION

There are limited hotels/resorts, with standard triple rooms in their inventory. These are commonly

double/twin rooms with an extra (rollaway) bed, limiting space within the room. Please inform all

concerned accordingly to correctly manage expectations. Extra bed rates / triple sharing room rates are

available in the confidential tariff.

Single room supplements are indicated in the confidential tariff. It is common that the provided rooms are

twin/double rooms for single use only.

Preferences such as smoking/non-smoking, interconnecting rooms, king-size beds, and location of the

room cannot be guaranteed or confirmed in advance and are subject to hotel policy and availability at time

of check-in.

9/ COMPLAINTS & CUSTOMER SERVICE

A dedicated Customer Care team is assigned to handle any customer service issues whilst on the ground.

We consider complaints as valuable feedback to improve service delivery levels. We request that service

delivery failures or customer concerns, be reported during the guest’s stay to one of our representatives

(travel consultants, Managing Director). It is the aim of the company to solve any irregularity immediately.

In the event that you do not notify us in writing within 14 days of completion of the tour, our ability to

investigate negative feedback may be prejudiced.

10/ LIABILITY

We act as an intermediary between all airlines, hotels, local tourist offices and other service providers.

Therefore, we reserve the right to modify tours and itineraries with or without notice. Our tours are

organized in conjunction with the respective airline(s) scheduled flights, therefore, itineraries and

11/ FORCE MAJEURE

During the term of this agreement, neither party shall be in default of its obligations to the extent that its

performance is delayed or prevented by causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to,

acts of God, natural disasters, bankruptcy of a vendor, strikes and other labor disturbances, acts of war, or

civil disturbances, or other equivalent or comparable events.
