Itinerary

Begin your trip by exploring the bustling commercial capital of Colombo, where the eclectic mix of modern and colonial architecture serves as a perfect introduction to the country's heritage. Head towards Dambulla to visit the famous cave temples, marveling at the intricate carvings and ancient Buddhist murals.

In the city of Kandy, immerse yourself in the local culture by attending a cultural show, stroll through the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, and visit the Temple of the Tooth, which houses Sri Lanka's most important Buddhist relic.

Your journey then takes you to the scenic highlands of Nuwara Eliya, where you can witness miles of picturesque tea plantations and indulge in a refreshing cup of locally grown Ceylon tea. Experience the country's scenic train journeys while traveling from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, a place known for its laid-back atmosphere, scenic trails and waterfalls.

The following days, you will visit the serene Yala National Park, where a Jeep safari awaits to discover the diverse wildlife population, including leopards and elephants, before heading south to the beaches of Bentota and Kaluthara. Here, you can indulge in various water activities, such as swimming, surfing, and snorkeling or just soak up the sun and relax on the sandy beaches.

Day 1

Airport - Colombo

Arrive by flight, and you will be transferred to the arrival terminal. Please clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage, and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. You will meet one of the representatives of Apple Vacations will assist you as he will be having a paging board with your name in the meeting area, and he will introduce you to your own English-speaking chauffeur guide who will transfer you to the hotel in Colombo.

Day 2

Colombo – Dambulla

After the delicious breakfast, transfer to Dambulla.

En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which is a sanctuary and breeding habitat for wild Asian elephants in Pinnawala village, Sri Lanka. The orphanage was founded in order to care for abandoned or orphaned wild elephants and provide a safe environment for them to roam. It currently houses approximately 90 elephants and is a popular tourist attraction.

Next visit to the famous Sigiriya rock fortress Sigiriya Rock Fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress is known for its stunning architecture and beautiful frescoes. The group will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the fortress and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Next, visit a village tour as Bullock cart ride, Canoe ride, tuk tuk ride, uses of traditional equipment, local food & more - The village excursion includes a variety of activities that allow visitors to experience the traditional way of life in rural Sri Lanka. A traditional mode of transportation in the countryside, a bullock cart ride, will be provided. You will also go kayaking on a lake to view the local flora and fauna as well as fishing villages.

Finally, make your way to Dambulla and spend the overnight stay and enjoy the dinner with delicious meal at the hotel.

Day 3

Dambulla – Kandy

After breakfast, visit Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in central Sri Lanka. It is the country's largest and best-preserved cave temple complex, consisting of five major caves filled with statues and paintings. The temple is thought to have been established in the first century BCE and is a prominent Buddhist pilgrimage site.

Visit the Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic Shrine in Kandy, a Buddhist shrine that holds the Buddha's tooth relic. The temple allegedly houses the Buddha's tooth relic, which is kept in a gilded coffin. Other buildings and museums in the temple complex exhibit Sri Lanka's rich history and culture. Visitors can watch the temple's daily rites and ceremonies, which are important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. The temple is famous for its beautiful surroundings, which include a lake and lush gardens.

Next, move on to Kandy Lake, a man-made body of water created in the heart of the city. The lake offers a tranquil refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city and is surrounded by lovely vegetation.

Day 4

Kandy-Nuwara Eliya

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then leave Kandy for Nuwara Eliya, a lovely hill town in Sri Lanka's tea heartland.

On the way, visit the Tea Factory and Tea Estate in Nuwara Eliya provide tours of the tea plantation and tea factory, where visitors can learn about the tea production process, from growing to processing. Visitors can also try several teas, including black, green, and white tea, and purchase tea from the estate's shop. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn about Sri Lankan tea culture while also drinking some of the world's best teas.

Next stop at the Ramboda Waterfalls, a well-known tourist site in Sri Lanka's Nuwara Eliya area. The waterfall drops around 109 meters from the Piduruthalagala mountain range. Visitors can take in breathtaking views of the waterfall from various viewpoints, as well as the lush foliage in the surrounding area. It's a fantastic location for nature lovers and photographers, and the adjacent tea farms provide the opportunity to have a cup of tea while taking in the view.

Day 5

Nuwara Eliya - Ella

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then move to Ella by famous train ride.

Transfer to Nanu oya Railway Station Move to Ella Train, which is recognized as one of the most scenic rail excursions in the world. The train ride passes through lush green hills and tea plantations, offering stunning views of the scenery.

Sri Lanka's Nine Arch Bridge is a structure. It has a curving arch design and is composed of brick and stone. It is located in the Demodara railway station on the main railway line connecting Colombo to Badulla. It is one of the few surviving examples of British colonial-era railway architecture.

In Sri Lanka's hill country, Little Adam's Peak is a well-known trekking destination. This peak is well-known for its stunning views over the surrounding hills, forests, and tea plantations. Day 6

Ella – Yala

After breakfast, depart Ella for Yala National Park, which is located in the southeast of Sri Lanka.

En route, visit Ravan’s Falls. Ravan's Falls is a waterfall in Ella Valley, Sri Lanka. The pool at the base of the falls is named after Ravana, the fabled ruler who is said to have bathed there. Yala National Park is the second-largest national park in Sri Lanka and is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and various bird species. The safari will take you deep into the jungle, where you will be able to observe wild animals in their natural habitat. Keep your camera at the ready to catch some memorable moments.

Day 7

Yala – Bentota

After breakfast, you will be transferred from Yala to Bentota, a historical and picturesque city located on the southern coast of the island.

On the way to visit Galle Fort Church, also known as the Dutch Reformed Church, is a historic church located inside the Galle Fort in Sri Lanka. It was originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later rebuilt by the Dutch in 1755 after it was destroyed in a fire. The church is a fine example of Dutch colonial architecture and features a simple yet elegant design with a white-washed exterior and a wooden pulpit. The church is still in use today and is open to visitors for worship and sightseeing. It is a popular attraction within the Galle Fort and is considered one of the oldest Protestant churches in the country.

Next visit to Madu River, which is known for its mangrove forests and bird life. Visit Cinnamon Island, where you can learn about cinnamon cultivation and sample some delicious cinnamon.

Then visit to Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and Farm is a Sri Lankan educational and conservation center dedicated to the protection and education of sea turtles. They provide a secure haven for endangered sea turtles to lay eggs and hatch, as well as a place for damaged turtles to rehabilitate before being released back into the wild. Visitors can learn about the life cycle of sea turtles, observe nesting locations, and even assist with hatchling release.

Day 8

Bentota - Kaluthara

After breakfast, proceed to Kaluthara.
