Tour program

Day 1

Drive to the Masai Mara and visit a Masai village

Your safari starts in Kenya's capital - Nairobi. From here you set off for the country's most famous wildlife sanctuary. Through the Great Rift Valley you reach the land of the Maasai. With their herds of cattle and bright red cloaks, they can be spotted from afar. Your safari camp at the gates of the Masai Mara awaits you with a pool and an idyllic location. Baboons and mongooses like to stop by, and in the evening sometimes even a hippo on its way to graze or a leopard. In the afternoon, you visit a Maasai village and can see the mud huts up close. The first day ends around the campfire. Overnight stay at the tented camp.
The highlight of any safari in Kenya is undoubtedly the legendary Masai Mara. Together with the Tanzanian Serengeti, it forms a huge nature reserve that is home to the "Big Five" and is famous for its density of big cats. Every year from July to October, it offers the spectacle of migration, with millions of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle moving from grazing ground to grazing ground in search of fresh greenery, always under the watchful gaze of big cats such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. Hungry crocodiles lurk in the rivers. The Mara is characterized by bush and tree savannah as well as gallery forests along the Mara River. You have two days at your disposal for game viewing. A cozy picnic in the shade of an acacia tree awaits you at lunchtime. We highly recommend a balloon flight to experience the savannah from a bird's eye view (optional, € 640 p.p.). 2 nights as on the previous day.
You drive to Lake Naivasha in the Great African Rift Valley. It is home to around 300 bird species as well as hippos, giraffes, various antelopes and zebras. You reach the lake at lunchtime and have the afternoon at leisure. You can explore the area on foot, book a boat safari or relax by the pool. Overnight stay at the tented camp.
After the early morning hours at Lake Naivasha, your destination is now one of the most beautiful parks in the country, Amboseli National Park, set against the backdrop of the snow-crowned Kilimanjaro. The landscape of Amboseli is characterized by acacia forests, swamps and open savannahs. The alkaline Lake Amboseli gives the national park its name and covers around a third of the park area, but is only flooded with water seasonally. Your next accommodation attracts many animals with its waterhole, which can be observed from the lodge. Overnight stay in a lodge.
Your safari in the world-famous park at the foot of the imposing Kilimanjaro starts early in the morning. Admire the unrestricted view of Africa's highest mountain, which towers over the savannahs of the national park like a giant sentinel. Here you have the best opportunities to observe large herds of elephants at close range. Protected by the Maasai, who traditionally persecute poachers, an untouched and unique elephant population has been preserved here. Buffalo, hippos, leopards, lions and cheetahs are also waiting to be discovered by you. If you wish, you can experience Amboseli in the light of the rising sun on a hot air balloon ride (optional). Overnight stay as on the previous day.
Enjoy the view of Kilimanjaro once again from the camp - often still cloudless at an early hour. You drive to Tsavo West National Park, which is separated from Tsavo East by the famous railroad line, which together form Kenya's largest nature reserve. Enjoy the different landscapes during the afternoon game drive - hills, savannah, acacia bush and forests are home to a wide variety of animals. Go in search of buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras and various antelopes. Overnight stay at the tented camp.
The days full of discoveries now come to an end - you drive to Mombasa International Airport and board your flight home or directly to the coast if you are still planning days of swimming. The route leads past small villages and rolling hills to the Indian Ocean. The fine sandy beach, warm water, tropical fruit and fresh fish invite you to relax for a few days. Water sports, diving and snorkeling are also possible in many places. We will be happy to advise you!
