Tour program

Day 1

Golden Circle & South Coast

Your adventure begins with a pick-up in Reykjavík, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey. The first destination is the Golden Circle, starting with a scenic drive to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you’ll delve into the historic and geological marvels of Þingvellir, exploring the dramatic rift valley where tectonic plates meet. Discover its rich history as the birthplace of the Icelandic Parliament (Alþingi), established in 930 AD.

The journey continues to the Geysir geothermal area, where nature puts on a spectacular show. Witness the Strokkur geyser erupt every 10–15 minutes, sending jets of hot water skyward. Next, marvel at the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most iconic natural landmarks. Take in the breathtaking power and beauty of its cascading waters before pausing for a lunch break at this stunning location.

Your next stop is Reynisfjara, the dramatic black sand beach famed for its striking basalt columns and towering sea stacks. Immerse yourself in the surreal landscape and uncover the folklore tied to this enchanting spot. Finally, you’ll head to your South Coast hotel, where you can unwind and prepare for the adventures awaiting you the next day.

Day 2

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Ice cave tour

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you'll embark on another day of exploration.

On day 2 you can add an optional visit a spectacular Ice Cave tour. From November to March, we take a super-jeep ride onto Vatnajökull Glacier and explore the famed Crystal Blue Ice Cave. From April to October, we instead visit Katla Ice Cave, a magical natural wonder hidden beneath the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Explore the ice cave and marvel at the stunning blue hues and intricate ice formations.

Alternatively, you can choose to spend some free time exploring the area and taking in the serene beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Continuing eastward, you'll arrive at Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon filled with massive icebergs. Enjoy the mesmerizing sight of icebergs floating in crystal-clear waters. Don't miss the nearby Diamond Beach which is only about 5 min walk from the lagoon, where ice chunks from the lagoon wash up on the black sand, creating a magical contrast.

In the late afternoon, return to your hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the day's adventures.

Day 3

South Coast Highlights

Returning west, we tick off some more of Iceland´s southern highlights.

Enjoy the view of Reynisdrangar sea stacks from the black sand beach at Vík.

The next stop brings you to the awe-inspiring Skógafoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most iconic natural landmarks. Towering at 60 meters in height and 25 meters in width, Skógafoss is a sight to behold with its thunderous flow and dramatic presence. The sheer force of the water as it crashes into the river below creates an impressive spray that often forms vibrant rainbows on sunny days, adding to its mystical charm.

Our final stop is the enchanting Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a truly magical sight that offers an experience unlike any other. This stunning waterfall cascades gracefully from a height of 60 meters, creating a shimmering curtain of water that invites visitors to explore its hidden beauty. One of its most unique features is the pathway that leads behind the falls, allowing you to walk through the misty veil and admire the waterfall from a perspective few get to witness.

Return to Reykjavik in the late afternoon after these magnificant 3 days spent together.
