This immersive expedition combines land and sea adventures — from trekking crater rims and exploring lush trails to navigating hidden coastal fajãs and diving into crystal lagoons. Cross to Corvo, the smallest island of the Azores, for a rare glimpse into a volcanic caldera and island life frozen in time.

Day 1

Welcome to Flores

Touch down on the wildest edge of the Azores and settle into your eco-lodge in the peaceful village of Fajã Grande, where ocean cliffs meet lush green hills. As evening falls, share a welcome dinner of local flavors and wines while meeting your guide and fellow travelers — the perfect start to your island adventure.

Day 2

Trekking the Volcanic Lakes

From 09h30 to 15h30, journey through the volcanic highlands of Flores. Embark on a scenic trail linking some of the most breathtaking landmarks — from the dark waters of Lagoa Negra to the tranquil Lagoa Branca, descending toward the panoramic viewpoint over Fajã Grande. The hike ends at the iconic Poço do Bacalhau waterfall, where you can rest, breathe in the mist, and feel the island’s raw volcanic beauty all around you.


Day 3

Sea Experience

Explore Flores’ northeast coast on a 3-hour guided tour of stunning coastal caves. Swim and snorkel in crystal-clear waters, discovering colorful fish, unique rock formations, and hidden grottoes. This is an experience to get to know Flores from a different perspective. Snorkel is not mandatory and will depend on the weather conditions. After some time for lunch (not included), we will visit Santa Cruz das Flores (the main city of the island), to explore the Whale Museum, the Whale Factory, the Boqueirão Interpretation Center, and the Church of Santa Cruz. Enjoy a tasting of local products and immerse yourself in the island’s culture and history on this engaging tour.

Day 4

Corvo Island from Flores | 7-Hour Experience

Discover the smallest island of the Azores on a full-day excursion from Flores. The boat ride is conducted in a semi-rigid vessel, passing through the caves and waterfalls along the north coast of Flores. Explore the charming village of Vila do Corvo, with its traditional architecture and local culture, and hike scenic trails offering breathtaking views of the Caldeirão crater. Enjoy a self-service lunch with two daily menu options, including drinks, dessert, and coffee. Admire coastal cliffs, watch native birds, and enjoy optional swimming in crystal-clear waters. This guided tour includes transport between Flores and Corvo, experienced local guides, and safety support throughout the day. 

Day 5

Waterfalls and Coastal Fajãs | Half Day Experience

Explore the highlights of Flores Island on a scenic tour by car, combined with short walks to reach some of the most stunning viewpoints. Visit the Alagoa viewpoint, Ponta Ruiva, and the Ilhéu Furado viewpoint, then explore the Sr. Machado Museum. Continue to the Ponta Delgada viewpoint and the breathtaking Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro waterfall. Discover Fajã Grande and Ponta da Fajã, with the new option to swim at Poço do Bacalhau. This guided tour combines comfortable transport, short walks, and the chance to enjoy the island’s most iconic landscapes. Comfortable shoes, swimwear, sunscreen, and a camera are recommended.

Day 6

Canyoning Experience | 3-Hour

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure on Flores Island with our canyoning experience! Descend thrilling rappels ranging from 3 to 18 meters, take an optional jump into crystal-clear waters, and slide down a natural water toboggan. Feel the adrenaline as you explore stunning gorges and hidden waterfalls, guided by experienced instructors with all safety gear provided. Perfect for adventure seekers, this experience combines excitement, nature, and memories that will last a lifetime. Bring swimwear, water shoes, and your sense of adventure!

Later on the day, meet with your guide for a Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. 

Day 7

Departure

On your departure day, enjoy a relaxed morning reflecting on your unforgettable Flores Island adventure. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time for a quick visit to local shops or a final coffee while taking in the island’s stunning landscapes. Our team ensures smooth transfers to the airport, making your farewell as comfortable and seamless as possible, so you can leave with memories to cherish until your next visit.

2. For these multi-day and multi-island activities in a private mode, a budget must be

solicited.

3. The order of the activities composing the multi-day experiences follows the availability of

our weekly structure.

services must be requested with time in advance, and it may be added an extra

percentage over the regular price.

prior consultation from Futurismo.

3. CANCELLATION POLICIY

1. In a shared mode, for up to 8 people, counting from the starting date (and hour) of the

first activity scheduled in experiences done exclusively in São Miguel or Pico:

1.1. Until 20 days before: free cancellation.

1.2. Until 10 days: 50% charge of the experience’s total.

1.3. Less than 7 days before the activity or no-show: 100% charge.

2. For private groups, counting from the starting date (and hour) of the first activity

scheduled:

2.1. Until 20 days before: free cancellation.

2.2. Until 10 days: 50% charge of the experience’s total.

2.3. Less than 7 days before the activity or no-show: 100% charge.

3. The activities release may be reviewed according to the specific characteristics of each

request, should these be in private mode or on-request.

Accommodation

Accommodation included on a double room basis with breakfast included, at Aldeia da Cuada (eco-lodge). It’s a restored 17th-century stone village located above Fajã Grande, on the island’s west coast. The project transformed abandoned rural houses into self-contained cottages, maintaining their traditional basalt architecture while integrating modern comfort and sustainable practices.

All the activities include transportation by mini-van or bus, depending on the final number of participants of each tour.
