An average level of physical fitness is sufficient. Porters" can be hired on site to not only carry your rucksack but also to provide assistance when hiking in the sometimes difficult terrain. By paying these local helpers, you are supporting the village community. Hiking poles are also provided. A minimum age of 12 years is required for chimpanzee tracking. All tracking excursions and boat trips are conducted with local English-speaking park rangers. A yellow fever vaccination is required upon entry!
