From Krimml via Salzburg to Passau

The Tauern Cycle Path is one of the most popular cycle tours in Austria - and not without reason. There are so many things that speak for the 315-kilometer cycle path. There is the very detailed signposting throughout, which guides you safely from Krimml to Passau. The first-class quality of the route with no gradients to speak of also makes the Tauern Cycle Trail so popular. Last but not least, the supporting program crowns the cycling vacation. Nature, culture and culinary delights offer exciting hours away from the cycle paths.

Details about a cycling vacation on the Tauern Cycle Path

Between Krimml and Passau there are 750 meters in altitude - but a gradient! The slight downhill always provides a certain tailwind and makes the cycle path easy to ride. After the daily stages, there is still enough time for sightseeing and discovery tours along the way. Ten days of pure cycling enjoyment without any luggage - that's the service extra from Eurobike!

The highlights of the Tauern Cycle Path at a glance

The cycle path for the whole family: In the gentle valleys of the Salzach, Saalach and Inn rivers, you cycle mostly downhill and on well-signposted cycle paths. This is why cycling vacations are also great for beginners and families with children.

Natural spectacles galore: whether it's the Krimml Waterfalls, the mighty three-thousand-metre peaks in the background or the Seisenbergklamm gorge - nature plays all the parts along the Tauern Cycle Path!

Small towns and great history: the Mozart city of Salzburg, Burghausen with the longest castle in Europe and the three-river city of Passau offer culture and culinary delights for every taste.

Interesting facts about a cycling vacation for the whole family

You start with the official start of the Tauern Cycle Path and your own journey to Krimml. A visit to the Krimml Waterfalls, the largest waterfalls in Europe, should definitely be on your list of excursions! Over the next nine days, the route heads north-east, pedal stroke by pedal stroke. You will cover between 40 and 60 kilometers a day until you finally arrive at your destination, the enchanting border town of Passau.

Tip: This Eurobike cycle tour can also be booked as a "Cycling with charm" variant! The hotels are selected with special care and score points with a top location and a certain flair.
