Itinerary

“Taman Negara” or “National Park” at 4,343 square km is the largest expanse of pristine lowland rainforest in Malaysia and is one of the best conservation areas in South East Asia.

Tour program

Day 1

Kuala Lumpur – Labu Sentral Jetty (200 km) [D]

Meet at the lobby between 06.30am to 07.00am to be transferred to the shuttle coach for your 3hrs journey to Labu Sentral Jetty.

Enjoy your 2hrs boat journeys passing by local villages and lush tropical rainforest to the National Park, Taman Negara. Spot kingfishers, hornbills, monkeys, monitor lizards or water buffaloes along the river. Upon arrival at the park, soak in the jungle atmosphere surrounding the Resort. Register with the National Park and Wildlife Department after check-in.

At 2030hrs meet your guide at the Resort’s reception for a brief orientation introduction. Enjoy a night jungle walk looking out for nocturnal plants and insects amidst the chorus of the rainforest. Do note, sighting of wildlife in the tropical forest due to its density, is a bonus.

Day 2

Taman Negara [B/L/D]

Enjoy a 1½ hours trek up Teresek Hill and be rewarded with a magnificent view of the tropical rainforest at the top. On a clear day, you can see Mount Tahan, the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. Continue your adventure with a canopy walkway (closed on Friday), built 40 meters above the ground and 530 meters in length. Experience the rainforest from a different perspective, as you get closer to the top of the trees!

This afternoon, take a boat ride to the cataracts of Lata Berkoh enjoying the splendid pristine jungle scenery along the way. Swim, relax or read amidst the serene atmosphere.

Lunch and dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

Kuala Tahan to Kuala Lumpur (237 km)

At 01.30pm depart for a 3.5hrs overland journey to Kuala Lumpur.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelations made 60 days or less prior to arrival: subject to cancellation fee (by the hotel)

Cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival: subject to 50% cancellation fees.

Cancellations made 21 days or less prior to arrival: subject to 75% cancellation fees.

Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to arrival: subject to 100% cancellation charge.

No Show/ Shorten Stay: subject to 100% cancellation charges.

Do note that Cancellation fees are levied by Asian Overland Services in cases where charges arise from outside contractors or where actions taken extend beyond reservation for tours and hotel accommodation. Charges are levied at the sole discretion of Asian Overland Services for operation planning, consulting and ancillary expenses relating to development of services of a specialized nature.

General PAYMENT Term

Non-refundable deposits may be required for certain product (program involving Selingan Island and Mountain Climbing), or if travel during high season. A deadline to make deposit payment will be advice upon booking confirmation.

Full Payment is required to be made for all services at least 30 days before travel period, or by the given dateline.
