Airport to Sigiriya / Dambulla

Upon your arrival at the airport, a friendly and proficient English-speaking tour leader will be there to welcome you and accompany you to your destination in Sigiriya.

Visit the Golden Cave Temple at Dambulla along the way.

Depending on where the elephants are, you may go on a 4x4 safari in the evening at Minneriya, Kaudulla, or Hurulu Eco National Park.

Day 2

Sigiriya to Kandy

Wake up early and climb Sigiriya Rock. This is an opportunity to take some amazing pictures of the rock formation and city before the sun becomes too hot. Afterward, head back to your hotel for breakfast and then drive to Kandy.

On the way, visit Nalanda Gedige, Matale Spice Garden (only for a visit), and the Gem Museum and Workshop. After that, visit a Hindu temple on your Kandy city tour.

In the evening, view the traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Time to Say Bye

Earlier this morning, at 6.30 a.m., we watched a blue whale from Mirissa Port. Back to the hotel for a freshly prepared breakfast, and then get ready to check out as it’s time to say "goodbye" to Sri Lanka. You will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo or Negombo for your onward journey back home.
