Idyllic Lakes, Imperial City and World Heritage Site

On this trip you can expect five days full of highlights and a region that can certainly compete with the most beautiful in the world. Hiking in the  Salzkammergut  is a treat for body and soul! Immerse yourself in crystal-clear lakes,  Austria's  beautiful nature, excellent cuisine and traditions that have lasted for centuries and may have even delighted Empress Sissi, who stayed here regularly.

Take it easy on your first day at Lake Wolfgang. Swim in the lake, stroll through the traditional town or take a hike up the Schafberg with a breathtaking view as a reward. Alternatively, a ride on the Schafbergbahn is also a highlight.

The first hiking stage takes you on a leisurely 12 km (and by bus) to Bad Ischl. Be sure to stop at the rustic Lore at Schwarzensee and try Kaspressknödel, Surbratl, char and Kaiserschmarrn. On days 3 and 4, the historic brine pipeline path to Bad Goisern, the world-famous Hallstatt, the romantic Nussensee and the natural Blinklingmoos await you. All information about the  hiking short break in Austria at a glance.

This hiking tour is perfect for  leisurely hikers , the route is almost entirely flat and only in a few places is it hilly or characterized by short climbs. The compressed stages are supplemented by trips by bus, train and tram to offer you a variety of the region's wonderful sights. Thanks to the included Salzkammergut Adventure Card, you receive many discounts on surrounding attractions. This hiking trip can also   be booked as a hiking holiday with a dog.

On our "hiking trips with charm" you can enjoy the full service of our individual active trips and stay in very special accommodations with that certain something and in the best location. This means that you can look forward to exquisite furnishings and typical local design, as well as cuisine of the highest standard. Most of our hotels with charm also offer spacious pool and wellness areas in which you can relax after a wonderful day of hiking.
