CITY HALL AND THE ROYAL WARSHIP VASA (3hrs)(75 EUR)

Did you know that one of the world’s most prestigious events takes place every year in Stockholm? On this excursion, we’ll explore two of the city’s most iconic landmarks — where history, power, and tragedy come together in fascinating ways.
We’ll begin our visit at the Stockholm City Hall, a masterpiece of National Romantic architecture located on the shores of Lake Mälaren. Inside, we’ll discover its magnificent halls — from the Blue Hall, where the famous Nobel Prize banquet is held, to the dazzling Golden Hall, with its glittering mosaics depicting scenes from Swedish history. We’ll also visit the council chamber, where municipal decisions are made, and learn about the building’s symbolic and political importance.
Next, we’ll head to one of the most extraordinary museums in Scandinavia — the Vasa Museum. There, we’ll marvel at the majestic warship Vasa, which sank in 1628 on its maiden voyage and lay underwater for 333 years before being salvaged. This impressive vessel, a testament to the grandeur and ambition of the 17th-century Swedish Empire, has been remarkably preserved.
