The tour continues through the Cairngorms National Park, driving over the breathtaking Drumochter Pass, before visiting Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last stand of the Jacobites against the government forces. You will then travel along the shores of Loch Ness, stopping to have the option to cruise on the famous loch and also visit Urquhart Castle, before ending your day in the village of Fort Augustus, at the south end of Loch Ness.

Your day will begin with a quick journey through the Great Glen to Fort William. From here, half the group will board the Jacobite Steam Train, and then you're off. You'll cross the viaduct featured in the Harry Potter films and pass the Glenfinnan Monument where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard at the beginning of the 1745 Jacobite rising. The other half of the group will take this part of the journey by road, where you will the opportunity to watch the train pass over the viaduct.

Lunch is at the west coast town of Mallaig, where you can taste the best of Scottish seafood. You will then return to Fort William, with the half of the group that travelled the outward leg by road now joining the return train journey, with the remaining half of the group travlling back to Fort William by road.

After leaving Fort William, you will visit the sensational landscapes of Glen Coe, where you will be able to learn more about how the MacDonalds were betrayed in one of the most tragic stories in Scottish History.
