From Marrakech: Student Tour to the Sahara Desert, Morocco

our adventure kicks off with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech, bags packed, playlists ready, and excitement in the air! With our enthusiastic local guide leading the way, we’ll climb into the stunning High Atlas Mountains, winding through jaw-dropping scenery and traditional Berber villages.

Our first major stop is the legendary Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the filming location of Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and more. You'll explore its ancient alleyways, snap some incredible photos, and soak in its historic charm before we break for a delicious Moroccan lunch.

The road then takes us through the cinematic town of Ouarzazate (the “Hollywood of Morocco”), followed by a scenic drive through the fragrant Valley of Roses, yes, it really smells amazing in spring!

We end the day surrounded by the dramatic cliffs of the Dades Gorges, where you’ll settle into your cozy accommodation for a hearty dinner and a well-earned rest. Breakfast is also included to fuel up for day two’s desert adventure!

After a hearty breakfast in the heart of the Dades Gorges, get ready to trade mountain views for sand dunes as we make our way deeper into Morocco’s wild south. Our journey winds through the epic Todra Gorges, where you can marvel at the towering canyon walls and snap some amazing group photos.

As we travel toward Merzouga, the landscape begins to transform, the air gets warmer, the skies wider, and the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi rise in the distance. When we arrive, you’ll have an exciting optional chance to hop on an ATV (quad bike) and tear across the golden dunes in a high-speed desert adventure! It’s pure adrenaline and the perfect way to kick off your Sahara experience.

Next, it’s time to saddle up for a peaceful camel trek into the heart of the desert, just in time for sunset. As the sky turns orange and the sands glow gold, you'll ride toward your luxurious desert camp, a stunning oasis of comfort in the middle of the dunes.

After a warm welcome, enjoy a delicious traditional dinner, live music around the campfire, and a sky full of stars. Whether you're dancing under the moonlight or just soaking in the stillness of the Sahara, this night will be a highlight of your trip.

Wake up early to witness one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip, sunrise over the Sahara dunes. The peaceful glow of first light stretching across the endless sand is pure magic and the perfect send-off from the desert.

After a hearty breakfast at the camp, it’s time for a thrilling 4x4 ride across the dunes, taking you back to where your bus awaits on the other side. Buckle up and enjoy the ride as your driver navigates the golden waves of sand, it’s a fun, bumpy, and beautiful way to end your desert stay!

Once everyone’s back on board, we begin the scenic return to Marrakech, with plenty of photo stops and time to relax, reflect, and swap stories with your fellow travelers. You'll pass through a mix of desert plains, lush valleys, and high mountain passes, the perfect backdrop to end your epic Moroccan adventure.

We’ll arrive in Marrakech by evening, filled with memories, laughter, and the spirit of the Sahara still in your heart.
