Hotel check-in is available from 2 PM onward. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at reception and check in later.

Suggestion: Want to make your trip even more unforgettable? Add our exclusive Evora & Cork Farm pre-tour extension and discover the authentic charm of the Alentejo region!

Start point

Aeroporto Humberto Delgado (LIS), Alameda das Comunidades Portuguesas, Lisbon, Lisboa 1700-008, Portugal

13:00 - 22:00

Day 2

Lisbon – Sintra

Meeting point at the hotel lobby – 08h30 am.

Sintra is 30 km from Lisbon, offering a foretaste of Paradise. The temperate climate ensures permanent freshness and luxuriant vegetation, making Sintra a deeply romantic and mysterious place. Stand out from the Town Palace, the Pena Palace (Ticket entrance included). Visit Piriquita, the pastry of the famous queijada.

See the 16th-century Jeronimo's Monastery (UNESCO), the Discoveries Monument honoring intrepid Portuguese explorers and their patrons, and the impressive Belem Tower (Tickets are not included). Visit an old patisserie that has managed to hold on to the secret recipe of Portugal. This pastry has existed for over 100 years. Enjoy a demonstration and tasting of the famous 'pastéis de Belem.'

Physical activities: Pena Palace has stairs and sloped streets without elevator access. If you have mobility concerns or prefer to avoid crowds, we can replace it with Queluz Palace for a more accessible experience. This option is for private groups and requires a 25-day advance request. In case of a weather alert (strong winds, thunderstorms, or extreme heat), we will visit Queluz Palace instead, as access to Pena Palace will be closed.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.

Meals: Breakfast, Pastry Pastel de Belém (One Portuguese custard tart and one coffee are included. For a non-alcoholic beverage option, please ask your local guide), and Pastry Piriquita (two cakes).

Day 3

Lisbon – Obidos – Nazaré – Porto

Our day begins at 9:00 AM, meeting in the hotel lobby. After a short drive, we arrive at the medieval walled town of Óbidos, known for its charming whitewashed houses. Stroll through its picturesque streets, explore local handicraft shops and bookstores, and don’t miss the chance to taste ginja—Portugal’s classic cherry liqueur, traditionally served in a chocolate cup.

Next, indulge in a sweet Portuguese treat: bombocas. These delightful confections feature a fluffy marshmallow center covered in crisp chocolate, resting on a thin wafer for a satisfying crunch. A nostalgic favorite across Portugal!

For lunch, we head to the picturesque fishing village of Nazaré, renowned for its fresh seafood. This is the perfect opportunity to savor grilled fish and seafood rice while soaking in the coastal atmosphere.

Nazaré is also famous for its women wearing traditional skirts with seven petticoats—a custom born from fishermen’s wives who waited on the shore, layering their skirts to stay warm. In 2011, surfer Garrett McNamara made history here by riding a record-breaking 78-foot wave, cementing Nazaré’s reputation as a world-class surfing destination.

After exploring this vibrant seaside town, we return to Porto for the night.

Accommodation: 4-star hotel. Overnight in Porto.

Meals: Breakfast, a ginja liqueur served in a chocolate cup, and one bomboca (wafer, marshmallow, and chocolate).

Day 4

Don’t worry; the smell is not as strong as you might think! You will finish the tour with a delightful tasting of sardines, bread, and of course, Portuguese wine.

After visiting the cities, we will visit the real Portugal, off the beaten path and authentic. We will explore remote villages, authentic cultural heritage, and some of the greenest landscapes in the country. You will sleep in the heart of the Minho province and at the door of the Peneda-Geres National Park, surrounded by stunning mountains and forests.

During the journey, we might come across garrano, or wild ponies. These wild animals have been native to the region since the Celtic era during the first millennium B.C. The Portuguese government began to rebuild the herds in the 1940s in what is now the national park.

Before the dinner, we will visit an incredible local vineyard and expand your knowledge of the revered Vinho Verde.
