Itinerary

See the best that California has to offer during this 3-day, 2-night West Coast tour, covering some of the Golden State’s top cities and outdoor areas. Start your trip in Los Angeles, snaking north by van or motor coach through California hotspots including Santa Barbara, Solvang, Yosemite National Park, Carmel, San Francisco and Hearst Castle. It’s a memorable opportunity to explore one postcard-worthy destination after the next. Your tour of the California coast also includes two nights of accommodations and a driver-guide.

Day 1

LOS ANGELES – SANTA BARBARA – 17 MILE DRIVE – CARMEL

SUMMER ITINERARY:

Depart north up the spectacular California Coast to the first stop in Santa Barbara. Visit a Spanish Mission and learn how these religious outposts were key in the development of the entire region. Continue to Solvang, a quaint Danish community to browse in the local shops. We head north to the world-famous Route #1 where we get to see the spectacular California coastline up close (small vehicles will travel the southern portion of route 1 while full size coaches will travel the 17-mile drive exclusively). After our visit we visit the town of Carmel home to the actor Clint Eastwood. Enjoy some free time to stroll in town before departing to reach our hotel for overnight.

WINTER ITINERARY:

Depart north up the spectacular California Coast to the first stop in Santa Barbara. We start our tour when we stop at the heart of downtown at “state street promenade” stroll through the exclusive shops and restaurants at this beautiful part of town which is insulated from traffic while enjoying the architectural beauty, sights and sounds in a peaceful setting. Continue to Santa Barbara beaches and Stearns wharf to “walk on the water” and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean, we finish our visit at the Spanish Mission Santa Barbara and learn how these religious outposts were key in the development of the entire region. From the mission we continue to Solvang, “the Danish capital of America” a quaint Danish community at the heart of California. Enjoy the Danish-style architecture while browse in the local shops and restaurants. After our lunch break, we head north through Silicon Valley before departing to reach our hotel for overnight.

Day 2

SAN FRANCISCO – BAY CRUISE – GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE – CHINATOWN

Today we understand why San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We start our tour at the Fisherman’s Wharf with a cruise in the world-famous bay, under the Golden Gate Bridge and around the notorious Alcatraz Island. Return to Pier 39 for a leisurely lunch before an afternoon tour that takes in all the city’s famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Union square, Chinatown and Nob Hill. Our tour ends with a night view of the city from the Bay Bridge.

Day 3

SAN FRANCISCO – YOSEMITE – LOS ANGELES

SUMMER ITINERARY:

We head east through the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley to Yosemite National Park. This 1,200 square mile wonderland of forests, lakes, and waterfalls is located in the Sierra Nevada. Stop at El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls, and Half Dome to continue for a walk from the Yosemite Visitor Center to reach one of the highest waterfalls in North America (730 meters) Yosemite Falls. After a beautiful day in the park we head back to Los Angeles in the evening.

WINTER ITINERARY: 

Start the day with a visit of Monterrey to include the wharf and Cannery Row. What was once a line of sardine factories along the wharf is now a picturesque haven for people to enjoy a leisurely day while exploring its rich history. We continue our tour of the beautiful California Coast with a visit to the town of Carmel-by-the-sea, home to actor/director Clint Eastwood. Enjoy some free time to stroll in town and enjoy the beautiful boutiques and galleries. We head south to the world-famous Route #1 where we get to see the spectacular California coastline up close (small vehicles will travel the southern portion of route 1 while full size coaches will travel the 17 mile drive exclusively) afternoon drive back to return to Los Angeles.

Confirmation: 

All tours can be free sold up to 3 days prior to departure, reservations less than 3 days prior to departure will be confirmed within 1 business day.

All bookings will be considered final at the time of booking. Please note that a booking is only considered changed or cancelled when you are in receipt of a cancellation number. Receipt of confirmation or payment constitutes acceptance of terms and conditions of tour participation outlined below.

Minimum Age: 

For every reservation there must be at least 1 person who is 18 years of age. This person will be responsible for the behavior and wellbeing of any passengers on this reservation. Children under 2 years of age travel free of charge, from age 2-14 children rate applies.

Rates and Payment Procedure: 

All prices in this tariff are retail rates and are quoted in USD. RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.

Reservations made prior to any price change will be honored at the rate that was valid at the time of confirmation. Prepayment is due 21 days prior to departure by agency check drawn on a US bank or by wire transfer drawn on our account number.

Final payment must be received on schedule; reservations without payment will be automatically cancelled.

Tour End Time: 

Tours are scheduled to end between 08:00 – 09:00 pm, this is an estimated time only. Actual time may change based upon local conditions. A verbal confirmation different from the timing here estimated will not replace/override it.

Hotel Accommodations: Prices as based on two people sharing a room. will be provided.

The hotels listed in this brochure are used on most departures; however, hotels of an equivalent category may be substituted.

Cancellation Policy: 

For all tours up to 3 days prior to departure no fees.

Less than 3 days before departure full cancellation penalty applies.

All requests for refunds must be received within 90 days of departure.

Vouchers: 

All vouchers for escorted tours must state clearly information received in our confirmation including tour name, date of departure, confirmation number, passenger names, and room type. Pre and Post hotel vouchers must be issued separately.

Proof of Citizenship: 

All passengers are required to have proper identification when entering or leaving the United States. On tours traveling to Canada clients have the responsibility to make sure in advance that visa requirements are met.

Smoking is not permitted on the motor coach. Stops are provided in route.

Seat rotation occurs at the discretion of the guide.

Amadeo Travel Solutions, reserves the right to refuse carriage to passengers whose behavior makes it a hardship to the tour escort to conduct the tour or for the tour passengers general wellbeing or enjoyment of the tour program.

The responsibility of the operator is strictly limited. The operator does not own or operate any of the services provided including but not limited to transportation, hotel accommodation or restaurants.

If the services included in the tour cannot be delivered or there are any changes in the itinerary beyond the control of the operator, Amadeo Travel Solutions, reserves the exclusive right to make any change to the itinerary or price without prior notice. Amadeo Travel Solutions is not responsible if the tour will not visit any sites featured in the program due to weather natural disasters, late flights, sickness, accidents or any other reason beyond our control. In this event there is no refund for services not used including hotels.
