Welcome to Calgary, also known as "Cowtown". Upon arrival, we will arrange a complimentary transfer to the hotel. Airport pickup is available every 2 hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You may join our local tours as below or explore the city by yourself.

In winter, the canyon transforms into a magical ice wonderland, with frozen waterfalls and ice sculptures creating a captivating scene. The paths lead visitors deep into the canyon to explore the scenic beauty, making it an ideal spot for nature exploration. (approx. 60 mins)

Marble Canyon - a stunning natural landmark located in Kootenay National Park. Known for its striking marble rock formations, the canyon features crystal-clear turquoise waters flowing through deep, narrow gorges, creating a breathtaking contrast against the surrounding landscape. The canyon is carved by the powerful forces of water over thousands of years. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks along, offering impressive viewpoints of the canyon and its vibrant waters. (approx. 30 mins)

Hoodoos are composed sedimentary rock covered by harder rock that is harder to erode. Once softer sediment erodes rock needle, only tower like natural obstacles are left. (stop for about 15 minutes)

The grand finale of your Rocky Mountain journey features two of the most photographed destinations in Canada: Lake Louise and Yoho National Park. Experience an unforgettable night at the iconic Fairmont Château Lake Louise, where turquoise waters meet soaring mountain peaks and Victoria Glacier. Explore the extraordinary landscapes of Yoho National Park, where the name itself means "awe and wonder" in the Cree language—perfectly describing the feelings evoked by its emerald lakes, powerful waterfalls, and remarkable engineering marvels­ 

  • Lake Louise: Spend time at this world-famous glacial lake with its striking turquoise waters back-dropped by Victoria Glacier, named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, daughter of Queen Victoria, with ample time to explore the shoreline and grounds of the historic Fairmont Château (stop for about 2 hours).
  • Yoho National Park: Journey through this park whose name perfectly captures the sense of awe it inspires, featuring dramatic rock walls, waterfalls, and alpine meadows on the western slopes of the Continental Divide (scenic drive)
  • Spiral Tunnels: Witness one of the most innovative feats of railway engineering, where trains enter a mountain and spiral upward inside before emerging higher up, allowing them to navigate the steep grade of Kicking Horse Pass (pass through with commentary)
  • Emerald Lake: Visit the largest of Yoho's 61 lakes, surrounded by towering peaks of the President Range, with distinctive emerald-colored waters created by powdered limestone suspended in the glacial meltwater (stop for about 20 minutes)
  • Natural Bridge: Observe this fascinating rock formation over the Kicking Horse River, where the powerful forces of water have carved a channel through solid rock, demonstrating nature's incredible erosive power (stop for about 15 minutes)
  • Vermillion Lakes: A peaceful winter retreat just outside Banff, the Vermilion Lakes offer stunning views of Mount Rundle reflected in patches of open water among the frozen landscape. **Return to Calgary Airport for your flight back home or extend your stay in Calgary. Please book flight departure after 21:30PM

Multi-Day tour

o More than 32 days prior to departure: 10% of the total booking amount will be charged.

o 15-31 days prior to departure: 60% of the total booking amount will be charged.

o Within 14 days of departure, tour will be NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-CHANGEABLE.


Tours with VIA RAIL

o More than 32 days prior to departure:     20% of the total booking amount will be charged.  (*Subject to the booked VIA class)

o 15-31 days prior to departure: 60% of the total booking amount per person will be charged.

o Within 14 days of departure: tour will be NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-CHANGEABLE.


Tours with FAIRMONT Hotels or Rocky Mountaineer Train

o More than 50 days prior to departure:  30% of the total booking amount will be charged.

o 32-49 days prior to departure: 80% of the total booking amount will be charged.

o Within 31 days of departure, tour will be NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-CHANGEABLE.


**Additional fees, including but not limited to associated credit card or wire transfer service charges, will be applied to any cancellation or amendment request.

**Cancellation policy will be applied to below modifications:

reducing the number of travelers, and changing the optional admissions & group meal purchase, as well as amending extended hotel stay.

**Modification is subject to availability. Calgary Tours reserves the final right of the amendment.

Notes for hotels

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms. Violation of the rules will result in a fine of passenger’s own cost
  • The standard Twin room in North American hotels is equipped with one double bed, two double beds or one double bed or one sofa bed
  • Triple/Quadruple room does not include a third/fourth bed the room types are based on the double occupancy. No extra bed for 3rd & 4th person
