Itinerary

Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is a short three-day Trek near Kathmandu. It is one of the best walking trips for families with kids, elderly people, and time-bound travelers. On this excursion, people can enjoy magnificent views of the long-ranged mountains Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal, Gauri Shankar, and Everest while exploring the rural lifestyle and charming nature of the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park.

The short trek of the Chisapani Nagarkot trail from Kathmandu begins from Sundarijal after a half-hour drive from the city center to the north of Kathmandu. After leaving the car, you start walking on a gradually ascending trail for about 15 minutes, where you will issue a Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park entry ticket.

Most of the trekking trails of this 3-day short trek stay inside the forest of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. You reach Mulkharka within two hours of walking and have magnificent views of green hills and Kathmandu Valley. Here, you stop for lunch and then enter the forest again. You will see pristine mountain views, captivating landscapes, rural villages, valleys, farming terraces, and more from Chisapani, with a stunning sunset, where you spend the first night of the Chisapani Nagarkot Trek.

After spending the first night in Chisapani, you head to the south, seeing eye-captivating long-ranged mountain views. You listen to the melodious sounds of the birds and see them along the way to Nagarkot from Chisapani today. You will also see an artificial lake, Dhap before you reach Jhule. From Jhule, you see Everest on a clear day and descend to Chauki Bhanjyang through the typical village of Jhule.

From Jhule, you can again see the pristine view of Kathmandu Valley. You can either stop for lunch in Jhule or Chauki Bhanjyang. You will love walking today through traditional villages and seeing the local lifestyle before you reach Nagarkot.

Nagarkot is a hill station near Kathmandu Valley, where you can see long-ranged white peaks, charming valleys, green hills, stunning sunsets and sunrises, and more. You spend the last night of this short trek in this hill station, then trek to Changunarayan (a cultural UNESCO Site) and drive back to Kathmandu.
