9 day Journey Through Marrakesh, Ait Benhaddou, the Sahara & Agadir. ( Private, Fully Guided & 4* hotels)

Arrive at Marrakech airport. Transfer to your hotel where you will receive a warm welcome with mint tea and an explanation of the tour itinerary and city map. Depending on your arrival time, you have the afternoon free for a self-guided walk around the city to explore the myriad of winding streets and their magnificent souks. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Today we’ll have a guided tour of Marrakesh. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city including the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We’ll also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll get the chance to explore the city at your leisure.

After breakfast, we depart from Marrakech at 8 a.m, driving 200 km through the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, making a short stops for enjoy the beautiful landscapes and taking photos along the way. Our first main stop is to visit Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah – a 16th century fortress classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987; many big films have been filmed there including ‘Gladiator’, ‘Laurence of Arabia’ and ‘Kingdom of Heaven.’ We have lunch at Aït Benhaddou Kasbah or in Ouarzazate — the capital city of cinema in Africa. After lunch, we drive a further 160 km through the Rose Valley and the Road of the Kasbahs, arriving in Dades Gorges at around 5 p.m. Overnight stay at your hotel in Dades Gorges. Dinner and Breakfast included.

Here, we’ll continue our tour to visit Todra Gorge, a colorful narrow canyon famous for outdoor lovers. We’ll continue through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis town known as the gate to the Sahara desert and recognized for its unique fossils. There we can visit a local factory which produces artisans and house decor made from fossils, there is also a local shop where you may purchase such items as souvenirs. Then, we’ll drive towards Rissani, where we’ll visit the local souk and then drive in direction of the desert to reach Merzouga. Short visit to Khamlia village. Arriving at a checkpoint we leave the vehicle and begin our camel ride into the desert dunes, accompanied by experienced guides, arriving at the Merzouga Desert Camp where we’ll stay overnight in Berbere tents. This spectacular night will be rendered unforgettable with a unique and traditional starlit Berbere dinner topped off by tribal music around a desert campfire.

Today’s journey takes you from the golden dunes of Merzouga to the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, offering a rich blend of desert scenery and cultural encounters. Begin with a brief stop in Rissani, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, where you can visit its traditional market and the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum. Continue through the dramatic desert landscapes of Alnif, a quiet Berber town known for its fossils and geological interest. Then follow the road through the Draa Valley, passing palm groves and ancient kasbahs near Agdz, where a short walk through the oasis reveals life along Morocco’s longest river. Arrive in Ouarzazate by late afternoon, where you’ll spend the night—perhaps with time to visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah or relax in your hotel after a scenic and culturally rich day.

Today’s journey takes you from Ouarzazate to the coastal city of Agadir, passing through the colorful landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Depart Ouarzazate in the morning and head towards Taznakht, a small town famous for its beautifully handwoven Berber carpets—stop at a local women’s cooperative to learn about traditional weaving techniques. Continue the scenic drive through arid mountain passes, scattered villages, and dramatic rocky plateaus. Along the way, enjoy views of argan trees unique to this region, and if time allows, visit an argan oil cooperative to see how this precious oil is traditionally extracted. Arrive in Agadir in the late afternoon, where you can unwind along the Atlantic coastline and settle in for the night.

? Early Morning – Surf Session at Anza Beach

Kick off your day at Anza Beach, just north of Agadir. It’s a consistent beach‑reef break great for all levels—even if you’re still finding your feet. Grab a board and wetsuit from a nearby surf school (rentals ~$10–15, wetsuit ~$5–10). Enjoy a mellow session while the sun rises.

? Mid‑Morning – Explore Taghazout & Taghazout Bay

Head 20 km north to Taghazout. Wander its laid‑back fishing village, soak in the surf‑town vibes, and grab a mint‑tea break near Panorama Beach or Devil’s Rock. Both offer gentle breaks and a place to chill after your session.

? Noon – Lunch by the Sea

Return to Agadir’s marina or beachfront cafés. Feast on fresh seafood or a hearty Moroccan tagine—perhaps at La Scala or one of the local seafood stalls .

Early Afternoon – Culture & Kasbah Views

Visit the Agadir Museum of Art, opened in April 2023, showcasing Berber art, pottery, and contemporary works. Then climb up to Kasbah of Agadir Oufella (Agadir Oufla) for panoramic coastal and city views—it’s a perfect photo stop

☕ Late Afternoon – Souk El Had & Mint Tea

Stroll through Souk El Had, Agadir’s largest market. Browse spices, ceramics, textiles—and tentatively haggle for a keepsake while sipping mint tea.

? Sunset Surf or Chill at the Beach

Head back to Agadir Beach for a chilled evening surf or sunset walk. This convenient, wide sandy beach has mellow waves—even in low swells—and is ideal for unwinding.

? Dinner & Nightcap by the Seafront

Cap off the day with a seafood dinner at a beachfront restaurant or tapas bar. Afterwards, sample a drink at a beach bar (about €3 a pint) as lights twinkle over the Atlantic .

Enjoy a scenic journey from Agadir with a detour to the coastal gem of Essaouira, a laid-back port city known for its windswept beaches, blue-shuttered buildings, and vibrant arts scene. Take a brief stroll through its historic medina, browse the artisan shops, and enjoy a seafood lunch by the harbor. In the afternoon, continue your drive inland toward Marrakesh, passing through the diverse landscapes of the Souss Valley and the High Atlas foothills. If time allows, stop briefly in the walled town of Taroudant—often called "Little Marrakesh"—to experience its atmospheric souks and centuries-old ramparts. Arrive in Marrakesh by early evening and spend your final night soaking in the magic of the Red City, with time to explore the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square or savor a farewell dinner atop a rooftop overlooking the medina.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Take the memories of your adventures with you on your flight home. Breakfast included.
