• Arrive At Paro Airport & drive To Thimphu (55kms/1.5hour)

Experience the breathtaking views of the high Himalayan peaks including the Mt. Everest as you fly into Paro valley (2,200 meters) where you can get the first glimpse of this magical country. After the visa formalities at Paro airport your guide and driver will receive you with Tashi Khadhar, a traditional white scarf of auspiciousness.

• Light 108 butter lamps

Begin your journey by lighting 108 butter lamps at the Wangsisina nunnery for an auspicious travel, and be blessed by the nuns with prayers of prosperity and happness.

• Buddha Dordenma

Once you get to Thimphu, take a drive up to the enormous Buddha Dordenma statue at Kuenselphodrang, where you may see the golden Buddha statue during the evening sunset. In addition to the area's tranquility, this peak offers a stunning perspective of the city of Thimphu.

• Witness the national sports of Bhutan

Visit the local archery ground where the locals celebrate the national sport with dance and song with every hit.

• Explore the capital city - Thimphu

Later take a stroll in the evening around Thimphu town and absorb the magical atmosphere of the capital city while capturing the sight of contemporary Bhutanese life.

Proceed to the golden Punakha valley after a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

• Dochula pass

Stop along the journey at the 3,100-meter-high Dochula Pass, which is embellished with 108 stupas. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee while gazing out over the magnificent Himalayan peaks from this café.

Continue to Punakha 

• Discover the peculiar phallus village in Punakha. 

Upon reaching Punakha, walk along the trail that passes by the typical Yuwakha village homes which are decorated with variously sized phalluses thought to fend off evil, increase fertility, and bring good fortune. This clustered village is surrounded by rice and mustard fields until you reach the hillock where the Divine Mad Monk Temple is situated.

• Enjoy the stunning architecture of the Punakha Dzong.

A brief drive along the Punakha river will take you to the magnificient Punakha Dzong that is located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (Male river) and Mo Chhu (Femae River). 

The Dzong is arguably Bhutan's most beautiful Dzong, remarkable both inside and out.

The dzong's distinctively tall whitewashed walls take on a rich sensuality in the spring when the lilac-hued jacaranda trees bloom.

• Wolokha nunnery ( Sangchen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery) 

Take a drive up to the Wolakha nunnery which is wonderfully situated on a hilltop overlooking the Punakha valley.

Drive from Punakha to Paro 

Retrace your way back to Paro via Dochula pass for a second chance to enjoy the high himalayan mountain ranges.

• Take a short walk to the medieval Tachog Lhakhang 

Stop along the route at Tachog Lhakhang, popularly known for "the Iron Chain Bridge". It is a temple located over the fabled iron chain bridge built over the mandering Pa Chhu (Paro River). Experience the uplifting atmosphere created by the colorful prayer flags and the gentle breeze. The entire display was a visual feast.

• Farm house lunch

Enjoy a delicious Bhutanese lunch at a traditional farm house in Paro. It is an excellent chance to test your taste palate with the authentic fiery hot Ema datshi ( chili with cheese).

• A magical hike to Zuri Dzong 

Later take a leisure hike to Zuri Dzong and enjoy the magical view of the Paro valley along the way. The hike takes you over breathtaking landscape which provides golden opportunity for photography.

• Stroll Paro town.

Later in the evening, take a stroll through Paro town, a street of typical Bhutanese traditional buildings. There are several handicrafts from where you can buy Bhuatnese sovenirs.

• Tiger's Nest Hike 

We have saved the best for the last. Get your energy up at breakfast this morning for a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Venture through the pristine surrounding of the monastery resting on a cliff.

Hike up to Tiger’s Nest - one of Bhutan’s most revered pilgrim sites. Be rewarded with the overwhelming sight of the monastery perched on a cliff at 3,120 meters above sea level and 900 meters above Paro valley. Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rinpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress and meditated here for three months. He blessed and preached tantric Buddhism in Bhutan.

• Traditonal Hot ston bath and try hands on archery

Soak in the healing hot stone bath and enjoy a traditional Bhutanese ara (wine) after a tough climb to soothe your muscles. Additionally, you can try our skills in a local game of archery or khuru ( dart game).
