Nepal Highlights Tour -13 Day

Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a private vehicle with your tour guide. Observe the typical wood-carved temples and structures that reflect ancient Kathmandu. After that, we'll be heading to Swyambhunath. The Monkey Temple allows you to observe religious harmony and tolerance between Buddhist and Hindu religions while also enjoying a panoramic view of Kathmandu. Visit the Pashupatinath Temple, which is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in South Asia. Explore the surroundings and observe the Hindu people's ritual body cremation ceremony on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Then go to Guweyswori Temple, a pilgrimage site near Pashupatinath. Explore the surroundings before continuing on to Boudhanath Stupa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in 600 A.D. and is the world's only stupa that reflects Buddhism. Explore the surroundings of Boudhanath Stupa, and then return to your hotel to rest.

Today, you will visit two ancient cities near Kathmandu: Patan and Bhaktapur. In Patan, you will be visiting other UNESCO World Heritage sites: Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Later on, visit the Patan Museum, where you can learn more about the history of Patan and the kings who reigned here. Later, visit the Golden Temple, a major attraction for both Hindu and Buddhist people, and Banglamukhi Temple.

In Bhaktapur, you will be amazed by the architecture, as until today the city has been able to keep itself intact in its old form. You can observe the old wood-carved buildings all around Bhaktapur, and then you will visit another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Explore the surroundings and afterwards visit the Nyatapola Temple, one of the tallest pagoda-style temples in Nepal. After completing your sightseeing, get back to Kathmandu, check-in at the hotel, and rest.

On the fourth day of the Nepal Highlights Tour, we travel to Bandipur, which is located west of Kathmandu. It is almost 150 kilometers from Kathmandu. On the way, you can see Nepal's greenery and the Trishuli River, which will accompany you all the way up to Bandipur. Later, after arriving in Bandipur, take a guided sightseeing tour of the beautiful village. After you've finished sightseeing, return to your hotel and rest.

Continuing your trip, you will be heading towards Chitwan, which is situated in the southwest direction. It is almost 45–50 kilometers away from Bandipur. On the way, you will get to see many small shops and a mini-market. As you get nearer to Chitwan, you can notice the forest section getting dense throughout your way. After reaching Chitwan, check into the hotel and rest for a while. Later on, you can stroll around the local market and streets in Chitwan. In the evening, you will be escorted to the Tharu cultural program show. Enjoy the program and get back to the hotel.

On the sixth day of the Nepal Highlights Tour, you will have a jungle safari by Jeep. You will enter the community forest section to view the one-horned rhino and some other wild animals like wild boar, deer, leopard, and others. After that, you will cross the Rapti River to get into the skirt of the main national park area.

If it’s your lucky day, then you will get to see the Royal Bengal Tiger in the highland area, where the bushes are as high as 5–6 feet. Along with that, you will be able to see wild elephants and other wild animals as well. After completing your jungle safari tour, get back to the hotel and have your lunch. Later on, you can go for a guided tour around Tharu village.

You will go canyoning on the Rapti River, where you can observe the Marsh Mugger and Gharial crocodiles resting by the side of the river in Chitwan. After completing your sightseeing tour, get back to the hotel and have a rest.

Today, after breakfast, you will drive to Lumbini which is approximately 06 hour drive from Chitwan. Lumbini is the most important Buddhist pilgrimage site – the place where Buddha was born and attracts Buddhist pilgrims from around the world.

In the afternoon, you will proceed to the tour of Lumbini, one of the world’s major religious, architectural, and historical sites. The place with monuments, temples, and ancient sites making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. First, we visit the Mayadevi temple which is built on the exact place where Buddha was born. Spend some time wandering around the gardens, some of the important landmarks and monuments in Lumbini include Ashoka’s Pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka (249 BC) on the spot of Buddhaa’s birth which also has the oldest inscription in Nepal. There are many Buddhist monasteries founded by devotees from different countries: Visit the remarkably beautiful monasteries built by countries such as China, Japan, Burma, Korea, France, Belgium, Myanmar, Germany, America, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and many more; admire the spectacular and diverse architecture they showcase. After exploring Lumbini back to the hotel and take a rest.

The eighth day of the Nepal Highlights Tour begins with a full day of sightseeing in and around Lord Buddha's actual birthplace. You will visit the sacred garden, which includes the Ashoka pillar, the small pond Pushkarini, the Maya Devi temple, the remaining meditation site, and the monks' residential monastery. Following that, you will visit several monasteries in the monastery zone before returning to the hotel.

You will head towards Pokhara, which is in the northwest direction from Lumbini and lies 210 kilometers away from Lumbini. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check-in at the hotel and have a rest. Later in the afternoon, you can go strolling around the lakeside street of Pokhara and to the bank of Phewa Lake.

On the tenth day of the Nepal Highlights Tour, you will begin the day with an early drive to Sarangkot to capture the peaceful and stunning view of the city before dawn, as well as the first sunbeams striking the mountains in the distance. Sarangkot offers stunning views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and others. You'll be visiting the World Peace Stupa, which is on top of a hill about an hour's drive from Pokhara. Once there, you'll be presented with breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains to the north and west. From here, you can see the Annapurna, Nilgiri, Glacier Dome, Fishtail Mountain, and Dhaulagiri ranges. After taking in the scenery, you'll hike for 40 to 60 minutes to the shore of Phewa Lake and take a boat tour to the Barahi Temple, which is located in the middle of the lake. Once you've seen the temple, you'll go to Devi's Fall, Gupteswor Cave, and Seti George. When you've seen everything you wish to see, head back to the hotel and relax.

On this day, you will have a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, starting from Pokhara after breakfast. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respective hotel and have a rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the downtown area of Thamel.

Today is a free day for you in Kathmandu. You can spend your day on your personal activities or optional activities. You can have enough rest, or if you’re interested, you can stroll around the streets of Thamel. Or you can go shopping for souvenirs for your friends and family.
