Itinerary

Khopra Ridge is a popular trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It offers stunning views of the peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and the Fishtail (Machhapuchhre). The trek starts at Ghandruk, a Gurung village in the Kaski district, and ends at Khayar Barah, a grassy ridge with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu


Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan international airport our representative will be at International airport to warm welcome in Nepal then transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2

Kthmandu – Pokhara (8,23m)

After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara which is 200 km far from Kathmandu. We take our lunch in between this six hours bus ride. We also have option to take scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, we explore Pokhara, renowned for its scenic beauty and lakeside stays. Overnight at Hotel.



Day 3

Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (1950m) 5 to 6 hrs

After breakfast, get ready  to Nayapul by private vehicle, it will take about onr hour. Then we will start our trek on foot follow half hour Modikhola, cross the river in Birethati, to follow Modi Khola valley passing Sauly Bazaar it takes about 2 hours, and start climb to steps. And continues walk to Ghandrku the beautiful Gurung village 5 to 6 hours walk from Nayapul. The beautiful Mountain View and Gurung culture is interest to see. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 4

Trek to Tadapani (2680m)

A amazing place Tadapani is our set destination for this day. The trail passes through the dense blooming rhododendron forest. Tadapani means “far water”, so it’s on the ride of the hill. The place is famous for sunrise and sunset view of fishtail “Machhapurchhare”. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 5

Trek from Tadapani to Bayli Kharka (3450m.) 6 to 7 hours

After, breakfast, we get ready for trek to Bayli Kharka. The climb is gradual and soon you will emerge above the tree line to superb views of the Annapurna range. You will take lunch by a small stream and then continue to climb gradually though open countryside to reach a small pass, where the trail descends through rhododendron to an open clearing known as Bayli Kharka, and the lodge. From the lodge there are great views of Dhaulagiri Himal. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 6

Trek from Bayli Kharka to Upper Chistibung (2,950m) 4 to 5 hours

After breakfast, we tight up our laces to start our trek. After lunch you will continue to walk through forest, ascending gradually and passing through several buffalo grazing pastures to reach a clearing and temporary herder’s settlement at Upper Chistibung, where you will stay in the small community lodge. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 7

Trek from Chistibung to Kopra Ridge (Khopra Danda) (3660m.) 5 to 6

To reach the ridge at Kopra, you will embark on a steady climb that carries you above the tree line. This area is noted for wildlife, so you should keep your eyes open for Himalayan tahr and Danfe pheasant. The best way to tackle the climb is to ascend steadily, take your time and rest as often as you wish.


You will reach the lodge on Kopra Ridge in time for lunch and will be greeted by more awe-inspiring views. This extraordinary panorama includes Annapurna South, towering directly above you at only six kilometers away, with Fang and Nilgiri prominent to the north. Across the depths of the Kali Gandakhi Valley, the Dhaulagiri Himal dominates the entire western skyline. The Kopra Community Lodge is the highlight of our work in the region. Day 8

Explore Around Khopra Danda From Khopra Danda

Early in the morning we get ready, to Explore around Khopra Ridge(Dadha). After breakfast, we start hike to reach Khayar Lake which is situated at the elevation of 4600 meters above from the sea level. After 9-10 hours steady walk, we can meet our target. We only recommend that hike to Khyar lake if you are physically fit otherwise it may create problem is the way because there is no any hotel and Teahouse for overnight stay.


From Khopra Danda you could hike to Thanti (around 4200m. high) and come back. It will take about 6 to 7 hours. At Thanti, there are some shelters for yak herders and shepherds to stay in during the monsoon. Khayar Lake is very famous for Hindu pilgrims belief; on the occasion of Janai Purnima , around the full moon of Saaun (July-August) Brahmin and Chhetri people must change the janai, which they wear looped over their left shoulder. In Janai Purnima there will be crowd of people from Nepal & India to celebrate Janai Purnima. There they wreath a statue of Shiva and throw coins at a temple and into the lake. One can explore mind-blowing diversity of landscape, different hanging massif cliffs etc. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 9

Trek from Khopra Ridge to Swanta (2400m) 5 to 6 hours.

From Kopra Ridge you will descend off the hillside and continue steeply downhill. You will retrace the route back to Chistibung. You will then head to the village of Swanta, where you will stay overnight in the newly constructed lodge. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 10

Trek to Ghorepani from Swanta

The most visited placed around the world Ghorepani is our set destination for this day. You will descend through the village fields to a small river and take a quick look at the local water mill. From here you will cross the suspension bridge and head upwards to the village of Chittre, where you’ll join the main trekking trail. There is a further ascent to reach the village of Ghorepani one can embark breathtaking view of Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurche and Dhaulagiri massif and other much more neighbor mountains.  Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11

Explore Poonhill and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1495m)

The stunning place Poon Hill is our next destination. The place is popular to explore mesmerizing sunrise and sunset view on the snow-capped Himalayan ranges. With the early morning sunrise, the golden peaks come into life. After an hour of the spectacular view, we return to Ghorepani. Again, from Ghorepani we start our trek after having heavy food. Walking along ridges and rhododendron forests, we pass Ulleri, a large Magar village to finally reach Tikhedhunga. Overnight at Teahouse/Hotel.

Day 12

Trek from Tikhedhunga to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara

The queen city Pokhara is our set destination for this day. After breakfast, we tight up our laces and luggage back to Nayapul to take scenic drive to Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13

Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist Bus takes 5/6 hours

After collecting wonderful memories during the trip we back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. It will takes about 5-6 hours along through Narayan Ghat, Muglin, Malekhu Galchhe, Thankot etc.  Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14

Departure Day

Today is day final day of Nepal staying if you haven`t sufficient time to do another trip. Our representative will escort you to airport to take international Airport. Overnight at Hotel.

When ready after planning a trip you for booking, must send Trek Nepal Himalayas Pvt Ltd   a form filled with full details of your passport and of the areas and trip chosen with 35 % non-refundable of chosen trip amount, this will be added with the full balance payment on your arrival in Nepal.   On receiving passport details with scanned / photo-copy, along with booking forms, then we will send you a full confirmation with receipts of the deposit payments.   Please contact Trek Nepal Himalayas Pvt Ltd   for direct deposit to our bank account and as well for Credit Card payment, we do accept Visa or Master Card with extra surcharge of 04 % as a levy charge.

NEPAL TRIP BOOKING, CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES

Trip cancellation has to be done within duration of two weeks with minimum of Ten days before your arrival in Nepal for related trip departure this should be made in writing.   Cancellation shall be valid only after receiving a notice by the company. Trip will be termed as canceled with cancellation fees of 30% which will be deducted from your advance payment on booking.   There will be no refund of CANCELLATION NOTICE of less than Ten days, and if he or she quits and leaves a certain trip for any other reasons or whatsoever purpose, either voluntarily or involuntarily, the company will not provide refund or reimburse the client in order we can make a letter to claim from your valid insurance if needed.   If you are prevented from traveling by a genuine circumstance or reasons, for examples, death, injury or serious illness of the passenger, close relative or friend, redundancy or jury service, you may postpone or transfer your trip to another person, provided he or she meets all the requirements relating to respective tour chosen and accepted.
