Discover the highlights Massada, Dead Sea and Jerusalem with our Israeli City Break Tour

Tour program

Day 1

Welcome to Israel

Arrive independently at your hotel in Tel Aviv. (private transfer available upon request for an additional fee). Enjoy evening at your own leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.

Start point

Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, Israel

Set off on a breathtaking journey through the scenic Judean Hills, making your way toward the Dead Sea—the lowest point on Earth. Along the way, stop at a local shop specializing in Dead Sea cosmetic products, where you’ll have the chance to explore and purchase unique skincare items while learning about the powerful minerals native to the region.

Continue your drive along the striking shoreline of the Dead Sea, soaking in its otherworldly views, until you arrive at the iconic site of Masada. Ride the cable car up to the mountaintop fortress and uncover the inspiring story of the Jewish rebels who made their last stand against the Roman Empire. On a guided tour, walk through the remains of Herod’s palace, ancient walls, the synagogue, water cisterns, intricate mosaic floors, and Roman-style baths—each echoing centuries of rich history.

After descending the mountain, make your way to the shores of the Dead Sea. Here, you’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to float effortlessly in the salty, mineral-laden waters. Don’t miss the chance to cover yourself in the famous therapeutic Dead Sea mud before rinsing off in the rejuvenating waters.

Wrap up your unforgettable adventure with a return to your starting point, feeling refreshed, recharged, and deeply connected to one of Israel’s most awe-inspiring natural and historical treasures.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Tel Aviv.

Begin your day with a scenic drive to the Mount of Olives, where you'll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem's skyline. From there, continue to Mount Zion to visit several iconic landmarks: King David’s Tomb, the sacred Room of the Last Supper, and the beautiful Dormition Abbey.

Next, step back in time as you enter the Old City. Wander through the Armenian and Jewish quarters, taking in the rich cultural heritage before arriving at the Cardo—an ancient Roman road recently restored to showcase its historical significance. Pause at the Western Wall, or The Kotel, one of Judaism’s most revered sites, before making your way into the Christian Quarter. Walk along the historic Via Dolorosa and arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a profoundly sacred site believed to be the location of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.

In the afternoon, head into modern Jerusalem to visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s official Holocaust memorial and museum. This self-guided experience offers a powerful and thought-provoking journey through one of history's darkest chapters.

Note for travelers arriving on a Wednesday: On Saturdays and Jewish holidays, Yad Vashem is closed. Instead, enjoy a visit to the peaceful village of Ein Karem, nestled in the hills southwest of the city. Traditionally known as the birthplace of John the Baptist, Ein Karem offers charming alleyways, Mary’s Spring, and the beautiful Church of Saint John the Baptist.

Wrap up your day with a return to your point of departure, having explored some of the most meaningful and memorable sites Jerusalem has to offer.
