Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m/9,316ft) and trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,561ft) Duration
- Flight Duration: 35 minutes
- Trek Duration: 3-4 hours (8 km)
In the early morning, take a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. After landing, meet the trekking crew and begin the trek towards Phakding. Walk through Sherpa villages, cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, and enjoy the lush green landscape before reaching Phakding for an overnight stay.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,284ft) Walking Distance
- Trek Duration: 6-7 hours (10.5 km)
Trek through pine forests and cross multiple suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, leading to Monjo, the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Ascend the steep trail to Namche Bazaar, the bustling trade hub of the Khumbu region.
Acclimatization Dayy in Namche Bazaar
To adjust to the altitude, spend a day acclimatizing in Namche. Take a short hike to Everest View Hotel for a panoramic view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Explore the Sherpa Museum and local markets. Rest and prepare for the upcoming ascent.
Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,860m/12,661ft) Walking Distance
- Trek Duration: 5-6 hours (10 km)
The trail follows a scenic ridge offering magnificent views of Everest. Descend to Phunki Tenga and then ascend through rhododendron forests to reach Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. Enjoy the serene surroundings and spiritual ambiance.
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m/14,465ft) Walking Distance
- Trek Duration: 5-6 hours (11 km)
Descend through forests and cross the Imja River before ascending to Pangboche, where you can visit the oldest monastery in the region. Continue trekking towards Dingboche, a picturesque Sherpa village offering stunning views of Ama
Second Acclimatization Day at Dingboche (4,410m/14,465ft) Walking Distance
This is our second acclimatization in the Dingboche valley, following Namche Bazar. We've reached an elevation of 4410 meters. There is a chance of experiencing high altitude symptoms (headache, loss of appetite). Thus, it is best to spend two nights here by trekking to higher elevations during the day and spending the night here. There are two alternatives for day hiking: the first is to hike to Chhukung Ri (5546 meters). We can enjoy the amazing view of the 5th tallest peak Makalu from there, and the second alternate trekking destination is Nagarjun Hill (5000 meters). Overnight stay at the Guest House,
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft) Walking Distance
We continue up the broad valley, past the spectacular Cholatse and Tawache peaks on the left. We next turn right and begin a difficult ascent towards the Khumbu Glacier. Lunch may be had at the tea house in Duglha. The track zigzags up through the final moraine rocks of the glacier. Numerous stone cairns have been placed at the summit of this climb as tributes to the many Sherpas who have perished while climbing Mt Everest. Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,140m/16,860ft) and visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft) Walking Distance
Starting early in the morning, the track provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, particularly as the path is forced to rise to cross a tributary glacier. We pause for lunch in Gorak Shep, our camping spot. Later in the afternoon, we make our way to Everest Base Camp (5400 meters) before returning to Gorak Shep for the night. Hike to Kala Patthar (5550m/18,204ft) and descend to Pheriche (4,240m/13,908ft) Walking Distance
The day begins with a climb up to Kalapathar (5545 meters), a superb site for seeing Mount Everest. Everest and countless other breathtaking mountain vistas. Today's walk is primarily downhill when we return from Kalapathar. As we return to Duglha and descend to Pheriche, we come across The Himalayan Rescue Association, a trekker's aid station that is well worth a visit. Overnight stay at the Guest House,
Trek from Pheriche to Namche (3,440m/11,284ft) Walking Distance
After breakfast, we cross the Khumbu Khola on a wooden suspension bridge and go to Pangboche via the Imja Khola. We continue down the river, crossing it and climbing back up through birch and rhododendron woodland to Tengboche. The Himalayan giants to be viewed are Kwangde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kantega, and Thamserku. We descend from Tengboche to the Dudh Kosi bridge. Trek from Namche to Lukla (2,840m/9,316ft) Walking Distance
Our final day of trekking takes us down the Dudh Kosi to Lukla. This last evening calls for a celebration because it is our last day on these magnificent mountains that have been our home for the past several days. It's now time to celebrate with our trekking team, who have grown close to us over the weeks and are now wonderful friends. We try some 'chang' (locally made mountain beer) and Sherpa dancing moves. Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft) Duration
We pack up early and go to the airfield to catch a flight back to Kathmandu. After landing, the rest of your day is free to do anything you like. You might do some last-minute shopping and packing, send a few postcards home, or perhaps take a trip down to Thamel, Asia's most well-known tourist destination. Overnight stay in a hotel, including breakfast.
Reserve Day in Kathmandu
We recommend that you add a buffer day for emergencies due to frequent aircraft delays and cancellations in Lukla. If your flight is canceled, you will be able to make your international trip home and save the inconvenience of changing it on this day.
Alternatively, if all goes well, you may spend this day resting, going on a city tour, browsing for souvenirs, having a massage, or participating in any other activities in Kathmandu.

International Departure/Farewell
On your final day in Nepal, an Accessible Adventure representative will transport you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. Your hotel pick-up time will be determined by when your flight is scheduled to depart, so keep track of the time and be prepared to depart.
