Anchorage: Kenai Fjords & Denali National Park 5 Day/4 Night Adventure

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel for the beginning of your adventure! We will depart Anchorage and head south to Gridwood. Travelers will have a chance to see the Alyeska Ski Resort to go up the tram! Beautiful 360 degree views of snow capped peaks and the Turnagain Arm await you!

After lunch and a chance to shop the town of Girdwood we depart for Seward. Your guide will interpret the history and landscape while stopping along the way at scenic turnouts.

Pack up and say goodbye to the ocean and hello to the Alaska interior! After a delicious breakfast we depart for the moderate hike to the Exit Glacier just minutes from Seward. Walking up to a glacier is an unforgettable experience that all our travelers enjoy!

We will then head to the Bear Creek Fish Weir (seasonally dependent) to potentially see salmon running in the creek up close! Your guide will stop at scenic overlooks for pictures such as the Hurricane Bridge overlook and the Denali South View Point for bathroom breaks and pictures before arriving in the small town of Healy to settle in for tomorrows activities.

Today we visit the historical dog mushing team of Denali National Park! These dogs are the only sled dog team in the National Park Service and are still used for supplying the backcountry of the park in the winter. After the sled dog presentation we depart for Anchorage. 

We will be sure to stop in the famous small, picturesque town of Talkeetna, Alaska for lunch on our way back to Anchorage*.  

*Guests who would like to ride the train to Anchorage may do so from Denali or Talkeetna.  We will be happy to assist you in planning your train ride if you'd like to take this route back to Anchorage.
