We will spend the day exploring the Masai Mara, with its abundance of large mammals and diverse bird life. Big cats are a very prominent feature of the Masai Mara and also include Cheetahs and Leopards, both of which are fairly straightforward to find here. We are definitely at ‘Predator Central’ here and there can be few

if any wildlife spectacles anywhere in the world that can rival the tension, drama and emotion of a Mara crossing. As many as a million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra attempt this epic journey each year. Watching as thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather at a crossing point you can almost feel the pressure build on the animals at the front as they consider the right time to attempt to cross the dangerous waters of the crocodile-infested Mara River. It is, however, a time of plenty for the gigantic Nile Crocodiles that live in the river and lie in wait as hundreds of thousands of animals head north from the Serengeti Plains to feed on the lush Mara grasslands. The foaming waters, noise and drama of a Mara crossing has to be experienced to be believed and offers dramatic action photo opportunities. Dinner and overnight stay at Enkorok Tented Camp.

Our 9 days Kenya and Tanzania safari enters Serengeti via Ndabaka gate for a full day game drives, we drive south and west to the western corridor of the great Serengeti via Ndabaka Gate with a picnic lunch . Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Mawe Camp or similar.

Day 4 of our 9 days Kenya and Tanzania safari starts with breakfast in the morning thereafter enjoy a full day exploring. Seronera is one of many world famous attractions in the Central Serengeti. Seronera Valley supports a much greater diversity of resident wildlife than anywhere else in the Serengeti including elephant, giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, topi, reedbuck, buffalo and baboon. This resident prey in turn attracts the highest concentrations of large predators in Africa (lion, hyena, leopard and cheetah) and a multitude of smaller predators (mongoose, jackal, serval and bat-eared fox). Dinner and overnight stay at Mawe Tented Camp or similar.

Morning game drives then return to the camp for breakfast proceed head south to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge whilst game watching only interrupted by a picnic lunch enroute.

Dinner and overnight stay at Rhino Lodge or similar The Olduvai Gorge cuts through rock beds layered in time sequence from 2 million years ago to the present. It is here where humanoid bones have been found dating back to over 1.75 million years including a direct ancestor of modern man. Fossil footprints (over three million years old) have also been found here and are the most ancient footprints yet discovered. There is an excellent site museum where you can explore the diggings.

Early morning breakfast then leave with picnic lunch for a full day crater tour. You will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle, explore the crater before ascending back to the Hhando Coffee Lodge/Ngorongoro forest lodge for dinner and overnight. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World,’ a visit to the crater is the main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is the home of Ngorongoro Crater.

On day 7 of our Kenya and Tanzania circuit safari we will enjoy an early breakfast then drive to Amboseli National Park via Namanga border. Proceed for evening game drives at the scenic park at the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibo Safari Camp.

On day 8 of our combined Kenya and Tanzania safari, We will do morning and afternoon game drives at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is home to big herds of Zebras, Gazelles, Buffalo's along with Lions and Cheetahs. A great variety of water birds can be observed in and around the marshes.

However, its main attraction is the great population of Elephants. Approximately 1,500 of these fascinating creatures live in the ecosystem and visit Amboseli regularly. It is fantastic to watch them walk to and from the swamps in the mornings and evenings. During times of plenty, Elephants concentrate sometimes in hundreds, with old bulls following the herds of females and calves.

Photographically it is very rewarding. Its flat and dusty plains and dry lake beds provide amazing backdrops for dramatic and evocative images, especially in certain remote areas of the park. In the early mornings and late afternoons the snowy peak of Mt Kilimanjaro may emerge from the clouds, and when a herd of Elephants appear in the distance it is one of the most iconic scenes in the entire African continent.

Early morning game drive to view the large elephant herds with the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, after our final game drive we return to the camp for breakfast. We check out of the camp and drive back to Nairobi where our Memorable Kenya & Tanzania circuit safari ends.
