Our 8-day Croatia sail tours take in the very best of the Dalmatian coast - cruising to islands such as Hvar, Korcula and Mljet, while also staying 2 nights in Dubrovnik and 1 night in Makarska.

The itinerary is designed to give you the best of both worlds: sightseeing, swimming and relaxing during the day, followed by excursion options, nights out and events in the late afternoons and evenings.

With our experienced, fun crew, like-minded shipmates and Premier category boat, you are in the right hands for the trip of a lifetime!

Tour program

Day 1

Split to Makarska

Jump on board and meet your Captain, crew and shipmates! Check-in is from 11am to 12pm and we aim to depart Split for Makarska at 1pm and get the cruise started with lunch and a swim stop.

We dock into Makarska late in the afternoon, giving you time to go around the town, grab a gelato and have dinner in one of the many restaurants, pizzerias and tavernas that line the promenade.  A new attraction in the town is the Makarska Observatory (open in the evenings only) - a unique cultural and recreational complex!  The younger passengers (or young at heart) might want to spend the night at the famous Club Deep, also known as the "Rave in a Cave". Say no more.....

Our boat leaves early for the crossing to Mljet Island. After lunch, we will dock in either Pomena or Polace and have the rest of the afternoon free to explore this island's stunning National Park and its lakes - the peaceful antidote to Makarska's hedonism!

There are several options for this exploration: hire a bike for a few hours and pedal your way around the lakes' cycle paths, hire a kayak for paddle-power or simply go hiking. We also offer an onboard BBQ this evening (either in Mljet or we might head over to Slano or Sipan island) as the setting is perfect.

Optional excursions: Entrance to Mljet National Park (approx 100 kunas), bike or kayak hire (from 40 kunas), Captain's BBQ (approx 100 to 150 kunas, depending on inclusions).

With some gorgeous bays around Mljet island and Slano, we are spoilt for choice for a swim stop this morning. We then cross to Dubrovnik through the Elphaite archipelago of islands - a truly amazing sight.

We arrive in Dubrovnik in the early afternoon, which gives you time for some must-dos, including a sunset walk around the famous walls and sampling a cocktail at one of the cliff bars as you watch the sun go down.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in and around the Old City, as well as events at clubs such as Revelin.

Optional excursions: (1) Dubrovnik is the setting for the capital city of Westeros, Kings Landing, in Game of Thrones. If you are a fan, why not take a walking tour of the locations of the most famous scenes in the ultra-popular show and get an overview of the history of Dubrovnik at the same time? If you are not a GOT fan then we also have a dedicated Dubrovnik Historical Walk that focuses on the city's non-fictional history.

(2) Close to where your boat docks in Gruz port, there is a secluded beach with a 250-metre long ZIPLINE! We can arrange transfer there and back, with a zipline ride (or 2!) included in the excursion.

We have 2 days in Dubrovnik as there is so much to do here!

We recommend: (1) Doing the awesome buggy safari - you are taken to Mount Srd to get a bird's eye view of the Old City and Elaphite Isles before driving an off-road buggy around the mountain. Unmissable!

(2)Taking a cable car ride up to Mount Srd for the most incredible view imaginable (note: buggy trip takes you past same cable car station for same view at no exra cost!).

(3) If you missed the chance to do a walking tour yesterday then you can do one today! Dubrovnik is the setting for the capital city of Westeros, Kings Landing, in Game of Thrones.

(4)  Take a shuttle boat over to Lokrum Island from the Old City.

There is no lunch today - you have dinner instead! Dinner is served onboard at 6.30pm and then the evening is yours again to enjoy in the Old City. Overnight on the boat in Dubrovnik.

Optional excursions: Buggy Safari and/or Game of Thrones+Dubrovnik Walking Tour.

It's goodbye to Dubrovnik and hello to more incredible scenery as we head to Korcula Island, which is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. The Old City (with the same name as the island) is another gem, with impressive Venetian architecture. Korcula hosts a small street party in the evening at the Deja Vu Bar, and the night can continue at the Boogie Jungle, outside the city.

Optional excursion: Wine-tasting (5 wines from Korcula/Peljesac and other regions of Croatia)

Hvar is rated as one of the highlights of the trip and it's not hard to see why. Hvar Town's pocket harbour is a thing of beauty but you only get to truly appreciate it after climbing up to the fort that overlooks the whole bay.

We arrive after lunch but often we are not able to dock until late afternoon due to port restrictions. We strongly recommend taking a water taxi over to the city to get there earlier (around 3-4 Euros per person payable directly to the taxi).

Hvar's nightlife is also legendary and we recommend catching the sunset at Hula Hula bar and taking the organised shuttle boat over to Carpe Diem - the famous "club on an island".

IMPORTANT: Hvar Town's small port is often overcrowded in peak months (end of Jun to end of Aug) and the port authority may order the boat to dock elsewhere on the island, such as Stari Grad or Jelsa, about 35-40 mins by bus from Hvar Town.

Our final, full day starts with a swim stop at one of the many Pakleni Islands near Hvar and continues past Brac Island on the way to the biggest city on the Dalmatian coast: Split.

In the afternoon we dock back into Split, with enough time to take in some of the inspiring sights of this city, including Diocletian's Palace, the iconic statue of Gregory of Nin and Bacvice Beach.

If you fancy something more adventurous then we can also transfer you to Omis for a rafting excursion on the River Cetina.

Optional excursion: River Rafting

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to your shipmates and crew. Check-out is by 9am. The adventure does not need to stop here though. There are day tours to Krka national park and the spectacular city of Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
