Itinerary

This tour is the perfect itinerary for those who only have 4 days available and wish to visit Tanzania's most famous national parks. The tour will give you a great understanding of Tanzania parks in a short time. You'll hit three of the northern circuit's major parks: Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and your choice of either Tarangire or Lake Manyara National Park. It is 4 days of incomparable game driving that show you the best that Africa has to offer when traveling with us.

Tour program

Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up at the airport or your hotel in Arusha/ Moshi early in the morning. You will be transferred to Tarangire National Park to start off your game-viewing experience in this magnificent park. It is famous for its large collection of baobab trees, spectacular large mammal population, and variety of bird species, not to mention one of the largest concentrations of elephants in the country. After your tour and adventure around the park, you will be transferred to Suricata Boma Lodge where you will be spending the night.

Start point

Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

You will be picked up early in the morning from your lodge and driven to the Serengeti through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here, you will stop for a view of the crater before continuing. You will arrive in the Serengeti in the afternoon and go on with the game drive in the Seronera area of the park. You will drive until late in the evening, all while keeping an eye out for wild animals and taking in the sunset. Later, you will proceed to your accommodation inside the park.

Afterwards, you will have a full day of game drives. You will have dinner and your overnight stay at Serengeti Matawi Camp.

Day 3

Full Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

You will wake up very early and enjoy a sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park to spot animals when they are more active. You'll also get to witness a fantastic African sunrise; one of the most spectacular sites one can experience. You will then return to camp for a full breakfast. Later, you will proceed with the game drive and then break for lunch, or proceed with the game drive and return back to the lodge for lunch. After the game drive, you will return to Matawi  Serengeti Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Very early in the morning, you will start your journey heading to Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. The crater is not only the largest unbroken caldera in the world but it is also one of the new 7 Natural Wonders of Africa. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopards, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here. After your morning 6-hour game drive, you will take a break to enjoy your packed lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site. Afterward, you will travel to Arusha city or be transferred back to the airport.
