Driving on the road from Fes, passing the Middle Atlas mountains and through the cedar forests well known all over the world. Cedar was already used from the Phoenician times and Roman time for woodcraft, essences and Building even ancient Marine boats. We will cross than the valley of Ziz and Ziz gorges on the way to the Oriental Sahara Town of Erfou. From Erfoud wewe will take a rock desert trail to Merzouga. Early morning wake up for watching the sunrise from the top of the dunes. You will have time in the camp for breakfast, shower, and sandboarding if you want, then we will go back to the hotel with the camels, and you will meet the driver for the rest of the tour. We will make a stop in Khamlia village, where black people live, to discover the Gnawa music. Then we will visit a nomad family to see how they live in the desert and taste with them the berber pizza made with 44 spices before to leave the desert. We will cross the town of Rissani and Tafilalet,the center of allaouit dynastie, on the way to the stunning Todra Gorges and overlooking the valley from the hillside. We drive through the great village of Dades and night in hotel.
Day 3
DADES - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE - TICHKA PASS - MARRAKECH.
We will drive in the direction of Ourzazate where we will visit the UNESCO protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. We will have lunch here and then visit the Atlas Film Studios.. Then we will drive accross the Atlas mountain via the Tizi 'n Tichka pass, stopping for photos along the way and finally arrive in Marrakech. We will drive you to your riad in Marrakech.
